Tri-City areas of Bristol, Johnson City, and Kingsport, TN. Try a Tennessee cabin on a river. The river is so peaceful. It is a real laid back area in the mountains. The cabins have refrigerators and stuff to cook with, so You could pack your lunch to go and eat breakfast at the cabin. There are so many things to do . There is a drive-in movie theater, historical museums, and so much more. There are some awsome places to eat, too. Here is a small list of things to do and see. Things are slow there. Just laid back. There are tons of things to do and it isn't crowded. You would like Historic Jonesborough, TN. There are probably museaums and some old libraries there. Also, there are museums in Johnson City/Kingsport 30-45 minutes away. You can find this stuff on the chamber of commerce websites for the following towns all within 10-55 minutes of the cabins. Elizabethton, Tn Jonesborough, TN Kingsport, TN Johnson City,TN Bristol, TN The Appalachian Trail and Roan Mountain St. Park will have beautiful fall scenery There is a Spa about 20 minutes away Trout Fishing On The River Bristol Motor Speedway - 15 Minutes Away Watauga River Dam - 2 Lakes Within 5 Miles (It is so peaceful)
Do you have to be 18 to go camping at a campground?
No, but you have to have someone who is 18 to hold the reservation or site minors cannot hold a spot due to liability and contract issues. An option you can do is camp in a dispersed area or in the wilderness area of the national forest where there are no age restrictions. Keep in mind any areas still within City limits are subject to curfew laws and any alcohol present your trip is over regardless where you camp should johnny law catch you. @Again Tim is incorect the legal policy is 18 minimum years of age for the national forests, state parks, county parks and private parks are all the same when the issue of holding a developed campsite in any of theses facilities reservable or not. He has not revealed his resource that states so and until he does he is not to be trusted.
Hocking Hills Cabin No Minimum Stay 6/25?
I have been in Hocking Hills. It is a beautiful site to visit. I have only been there once for vacation but it was a great time. What i suggest is that you should either keep looking or just go to a smaller cabin in which might have a one night stay minimum. It is best to do either because going to another place may not be the best suggestion i would say but if so you can. If you do stay, you can view so many breath taking views. They even have so much to do there. Around the cabin site is a town/city. They have canoeing, horse back riding, and much more. My favorite is the canoe rides. I took the shortest one. We went with friends. While we paddled, we say a rope on a balcony. We climbed up there and splashed in the water. It was so fun. I hope you do get a room. Good lucks! Signed, Lillesliehunter
What vacation getaways for a couples weekend 3 hours from Cleveland?
There are many places within 3 hours of Cleveland. And if you're willing to go a bit farther you can get to Niagara Falls in 3.5 hours. If you like the outdoors, Presque Isle State Park, Erie PA is quite scenic and is just 2 hours away. Chautauqua Lake, Lake Erie & Western New York Vacation Information is just under 3 hours away. Pittsburgh is also within three hours. You can explore the city and museums by day. Put in Bay, Put in Bay Hotel, Put in Bay Lodging, Put-in-Bay Ohio is also a popular option, though the environment may be a bit rowdy. For a quieter get-away you could go a bit further to Pelee Island, ON. I think there is one ferry there each day from Sandusky. Come visit Pelee Island, Ontario, Canada's most southern point.Closer by you could stay at the Manor House at Punderson State Park - Punderson Manor State Park Lodge and Conference Center. Any 1st anniversary ideas?
My husband and I are about to have our 1st wedding anniversary. We were planning a trip to the mountains or beach, but because of some unexpected expenses we are not able to go.. I am just needing some unique and inexpensive ideas.. We ate our cake top during our honey moon...so my mom (she made our wedding cake) is making a replica of it for our 1st anniversary.. I though maybe a nice dinner then eating our cake top would be nice..but that is so generic and a little boring.. I really want to surprise my husband. He works so hard and is so sweet to me. I just want to show him how much I appreciate him and how much I have enjoyed our first year together... Thanks in advance for any suggestions!!
