I Am Looking For A Good Pair Of Headphones

What pair of headphones should I get?

Well the sennheiser HD 449 has very good bass but for the genres you mention mainly dubstep it might not please you if you are a basshead , the HD 429 is a better choice , it has a phat bass ( big ooomph sound ). i would recommend the HD 280 pro but some review state the comfort is lacking for long use
and the more improved version of it is just a dollar under your budget
here : http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-380-Pro...

budget wise the sennheiser 202-II seems it will satisfy you ,take a look at this review

the ath-m50 are very good also for about $150 but remember its a studio monitor headphone so if you have a song thats poorly recorded it will reveal it .
all the best

Any good bluetooth headphones?

What's your budget and what style are you looking for? I'm going to assume you're looking for something under $100, in which case I have two suggestions.

First: the Jabra BT620. It's one of the best Bluetooth headphones in its price range. It's got a closed-back design and wraps behind the neck. Audio quality is always going to be sacrificed to at least some extent with Bluetooth cans, but how noticeable this is will depend on what kind of quality you are used to when it comes to your audio gear. The soundstage is going to be pretty small with this--which comes with the closed-back design--and the bass, mids and highs are all surpisingly good for Bluetooth headphones: moderately-emphasized bass, clear mids and pleasant highs. You can pick these up online for around $60.

The JayBird SB2 is also on-ear and they're quite stylish, at that. They're not comfortable for really extended periods of time, but they offer a snug fit. The bass is tight, the mids are warm and the highs are clear. Again, better than your average Bluetooth cans, but if you're used to better you will find them a bit lacking. You can pick them up for as low as $70 online.

I hope this helps!

Really good pair of headphones?

You sound just like me! I would say you will have to go with Skullcandy headphones! They have lifetime warranty so if they break you send them in and they credit your account with the amount the headphones are worth on their website.
They are good heaphones, I own Skullcandy Aviators which cost 150 but you can definitely get them on eBay for 100 or even less i was able to get a pair for actually $40!!!
These haven't broken on me yet and its been about 6 months. I also use their in ear headphones, Heavy Medal and those are great too.
Like i said, no worries, just go to their website skullcandy.com/warranty and they'll explain everything. Just make sure u say its a manufacture defect.
I see you said you like your music loud? Well try in ear headphones because its actually better for your ears because you don't have to play your music that loud to hear it well and block out outside noise. So contrary to belief its actually better (as long as you don't blast it super loud).
But yeah if your headphones keeping breaking you need Skullcandy for their lifetime warranty!!!

Suggest a good pair of headphone with in Rs. 5000? I'm looking for a pair of in the ear canal phones or circum-aural over the ear headphones (preferably with a detachable cord)

This doesn't have detachable cord but has a looooong cord, with a wire holder to adjust the length. It is Sennheiser HD 202, has an awesome bass and crystal clear clarity. It's a bit bulky but if you don't mind carrying it around or your purpose is to use at a place(for DJs, and FYI, they also give a 6.1mm jack adaptor with it) , it is awesome. Costed around 2.5k to me

How can I tell my dad to buy me another pair of headphones?

It's hard for us on Quora to answer a question like this, it's very open ended, without much insight into your situation and environment, the conditions around the question. Please continue to be a contributor to the Quora experience by answering back to people who've posted answers, and fill in details in the comments sections so that those who were willing to give you their time and effort can help you get the answers that better directs you onto the path that works for you. This is, after all, not YahooAnswers, it's commonplace for discussions to follow alongside well thought out questions. It depends; Are they to impress others or yourself? Have you been reading or hearing about audio fidelity and the different perspectives on quality music experience, or do you want the "cool" looking headphones that impress your friends? hint, most moderately high priced Consumer grade headphones heavily marketed by big celebrities are often not nearly as technically good as the money you'd spend on them / alternatively, the rediculously expensive gear is often dealving into features that are arguably not worth the investment if you aren't trying to show off other insanely rich people who also think (wrongly) that they can perceive the difference between audio through a wire with oxygen-free copper and that of normal copper, and how an exotic wood inlay adds "warmth" to the soundstage better than some other inlay. If you don't have a particularly powerful and high quality audio source equipment, paired with audio of exceptionally high fidelity, then you can achieve greatness with moderately, reasonably priced headphones, as most typical gear (an iPhone, or a normal stereo or computer system) can not output much more than what a good priced headphone can handle easily.Ok, now I'm just rambling. How about this - ask your dad if you can have a chat. Tell him your interested in getting a better listening experience for your music or podcasts, but you want to know what he used to listen to. Have a fun time learning about how or if he's had an experience with music he loved.

What makes headphones sound good?

You aren't specifying what purpose you need the headphones for, whether for creating/recording/mixing music, or listening for pleasure. In terms of my studio work, I look for a good bandwidth, as flat a response as possible and the ability to convey detail in terms of transients, stereo image, and so on. Headphones are there when mixing or recording as a necessity when needing to work quietly, and as a check against my studio monitors.I only occasionally use headphones out of the studio, and in this case I'm looking for clarity and detail, but often with a rich bass sound from relatively portable phones, which will mean a lift perhaps around 150Hz rather than a flat response.

Best Headphones Price Range £100 - £150?

At least Sennheiser HD series, also look for brands like AKG, Denon, Shure, Grado, Etymotic and Beyerdynamic. Please do yourself a favour and do NOT buy Dr.Dre/Beats/Solo, Ludacris/Soul, Koss, Skullcandy, Lady GaGa, Skullcrushers, Monsters and Bose, because they are ALL seriously overhyped and overpriced "fashion blingbling gimmicks" with a very poor durability and sound quality, NOTHING else (and those who try to claim they are good do NOT know ANYTHING about QUALITY anyway!), be them fake or not! Please do not let the peer pressure/fashion fool you any more because it is very often a waste of money.
