I Am Looking For An 80s Synth Heavy Song With A Female Singer.

What are some good heavy metal bands with female singers?

Unleash the Archers is a power metal band with an awesome female singer. Here are a couple of my favourite songs of theirs:Epica is a symphonic power metal band that, if you hadn't already listened to, you should definitely check out:Ignea is a band that not only has a female singing, but she also does unclean vocals! I'm not completely sure what subgenre they are; like a mix between symphonic metal, death metal, and (middle eastern) folk metal? But their music sounds amazing in my opinion:Opera IX is a (black metal?) band with a female vocalist:King Woman is a doom metal band with a female vocalist who really adds to the creepy vibe of their music, yet her singing is oddly beautiful and sad the same time as it is creepy. They've only released one full album so far but it's amazing:Trees of Eternity is another doom metal band with a female singer who had a beautiful, sad voice. They've also only released one album, and I think it might be their last one too because the singer died:Leaves’ Eyes is a folk/symphonic power metal band with a female singer:Xandria is a cool symphonic power metal band:There's also a few songs I know that feature female singers in them, but the majority of the songs by the bands who released those songs are done solely by a male vocalist. Some songs featuring female singers, however, are “Liar Liar (Wasteland Monarchy)” and “Sacrimony (Angel of Afterlife)” by Kamelot, “"The Void Alone” by Fallujah, and “Ashes of Old Earth”, “Cryoshock”, and “The Horizon Effect” by MechinaAlso, The Birthday Massacre is an awesome band that isn't quite metal (they're some kind of gothic rock), but they can get pretty heavy and even have unclean vocals in a few songs. Check out their songs “The Other Side” and “Blue”.

Whats a good metal song about being cheated on, lied to or betrayed?

Well, if you want some good songs about being betrayed and lied to, just about anything by Hatebreed will do. They're pure hardcore at it's finest.

"Break You" by Lamb Of God is a good one, I love the beginning and end riffs. "Laid to Rest" is also somewhat in that category too.

A lot of Bullet For My Valentine songs are good too. Such as "4 Words (To Choke Upon)".

"Existence Is Punishment" by Crowbar is about a broken, but they're sludgecore (slow and heavy, I personally love 'em)

Again, anything by My Dying Bride, they have a lot of hopeless love songs, they're more melodic, and slow, and a bit lighther than what you're used to. "I Cannot Be Loved" is a good example.

"Amour" by Rammstein is a good one. Though it's in German, it talks about how love hurts.

"Just Like You", "I Hate Everything About You" by Three Days Grace.

"Jezebel" and "Cassie Eats Cockroaches" by Acid Bath are good, they're kind of like a sick, twisted, rape scene.

"Love Dump" by Static-X is about how the guy would do anything for the girl.

Hope this helps. Rock on, man. This is a pure metal infusion, should help ya heal. ;)

What do you think was the worst popular song in the 80's?

Most of these answers are from Americans, you don't know what really bad hit songs are, most of these ‘awful’ songs are amazing especially when you compare them with the UK charts at the time. They had no airplay element so a song got to number one just by members of the public buying it, imagine that.Unfortunately most of the British public have no taste hehe here's some real horrors for you. Here is my top 10.The Tweets - The Birdie SongThe Manhattan Transfer - Chanson D'AmourJoe Dolce - Shaddap you faceBlack Lace - AgadooChris DeBurgh - Lady In RedNick Berry - Every Loser WinsSinitta - So MachoAnita Dobson - Anyone Can Fall In LoveGoombay Dance Band - Seven TearsKeith Harris and Orville - Orville's SongThere America! Starship and Men Without Hats indeed!omg how could I miss this, I win!St Winifreds School Choir - Theres No-One Quite Like Grandma

What were your favourites 70s/80s songs?

I'm actually watching a history documentary at the moment about Britain in the 1970s/80s and I'm starting to realise how much I enjoy 70s/80s pop music. Some of the music that has been played is the likes of:

David Bowie
Blondie
Frankie Goes To Hollywood
Human League
Europe

Please fire away with your suggestions. I know this question has been asked a million times and I could easliy find all sorts of lists (eg "top 100 80s pop songs") online, but I also want some personal opinions too! I'm only 17 so I don't really know much about the era, though I particularly enjoy some of the synth-pop and pop-rock type music. I don't really want anything too 'heavy' like Black Sabbath, I prefer more soothing type music. I don't want to say something naive like "80s pop music was the best", because I don't really know anything about it, but if you could just give me some names or your favourite songs, that would be amazing.

I actually listen to a lot of trance music in real life (6-12 hours a day), but as nobody else I know listens to that, I end up feeling kind of...left out. That's one of the main reasons I want to discover some great 80s music (though particularly pop), to increase my cultural awareness and stuff.

Thanks in advanced for the suggestions in advance!

Techno song? Touch it feel it?

There's a song, I believe it's possibly a very techno-heavy song or something like it, but I can only remember this one little blurb from it - it's very staccato, and an almost robotic-sounding voice says, "Touch it, feel it, move it, love it," Hm-hm-hm-hm-Hm-hm. I know that's horribly unhelpful, but can anybody tell what song this is from? I may have the words off a bit, too... T_T
