I Am Looking For Anew Dirt Bike

Im looking to get a dirt bike to learn on, im new to the scene and would like some ezpirienced help.?

Sure, you can start on the 100. Just don't be surprised to find that you really enjoy riding and that the 100 won't satisfy your eventual need for more power!

It's best if you can borrow a bike to learn on. That way, if you don't like riding, you won't have lost any money.

A 150 might be a better choice to start with, but you'll want more than that eventually. A 250 on the other hand may be too much bike to start with and can give you a bad experience......start slow....then go big!

Looking for a used Yamaha 150cc Dirt bike

Yamaha at this stage do not have a 150cc mx bike so you won't be able to buy even a new one. Your only option at the present for a 150cc is Honda. They make the crf150r which is the motocross version of the 150cc and the crf150f which is the trailbike version. They have been producing them for a couple of years now so you could pick one up second hand. But don't get the crf150f if you intend to race as it is not designed for it.

Im 6.2 about 275 lbs and i am looking to get a dirt bike what should i get or can i get anything ?

Look at a used Kawasaki KDX200. These are great for woods and trail. I am 260lbs and can stand mine up in a wheelie and jump just fine. Just don't do those things until your skills improve. You do not need a large cc bike. KDX's are very forgiving to a new rider as well. This is a 2 stroke. If you are looking at a 4 stroke, I would not suggest anything larger than 400cc. You can go a little larger on a 4 stroke than a 2stroke and be ok. Some of the 250cc size 4 strokes are smaller in size. The 250cc 2 strokes have alot of power, but would also be ok for your size. You would need to sit on them to see how they feel.
Definitely buy a used one for your first. This way when you lay it down, it won't get you as upset.

I am looking to buy a used dirt bike from a private seller in another state. Will there be a sales tax or what should I know before purchasing it? (I live in TN and the bike is in NC)

If you’re buying it from a private seller there will be no N.C. sales tax, but you will be charged TN sales tax when you register the bike. On top of that, some states (Fl where I currently live) also charge an “import fee” when you bring ANY vehicle into the state. You’d be best served to check with the TN Motor vehicle department to find out exactly how they handle this type of sale.

I am looking to buy a street legal dirt bike in California with $4,200 what are my best choices?

For $4200 you can find lots of excellent dual sport bikes. Just look on Craigslist. Here’s a couple:2008 Honda CRF230L : Probably not fast enough for regular freeway use.SUZUKI DRZ400S DUAL SPORT: Not a great dirt bike, but a good dirt/street mix.https://ventura.craigslist.org/m... : A better dirt bike. You need to think about whether you need electric start (some older dual sports will be kick only)? Whether you need freeway speed? You need a top speed of about 95mph in order to cruise comfortably on the freeway where traffic flow often reaches 80 or even 85. You need some margin for hills and headwind.Another question is whether you can reach the ground when mounted? Some bikes are really tall. A related question is, “Can you pick it up?” Dirt bikes are a lot harder to pick up for their weight because the long suspension means the weight is up high.

How fast does 70cc dirt bikes go?

hmm 70cc dirt bike... i dont remember any of the main manufactures making any 70cc bikes so its most likely chineese so using crap mass produced parts that will brake fast. So 70cc dirt bike MAY hit 55

What dirt bikes have a 34" seat height?

Hi,
I am in the process of looking for a new dirt bike, and I am having trouble finding one to suit my needs: not too powerful, cheap, and a seat height of 32"-34", 36" could work, but would be pushing it. I have been looking at the Honda CRF230F and the Yamaha TT-R230. Problem is, they are new, therefore expensive and hard to find used. So, being fairly new to the dirt bike world, I don't really know of any older bikes that would suit my needs. I would prefer something around the '90s era, that wouldn't be to powerful, heavy, or tall.

Thank you!
