I Am Looking To Buy A Used Full Size Truck And Need To Know Which One Would Suit Me Best.

What street bike size best suits me?

A 600 sportbike is positively the worst choice for a beginner,.... and here's why: The reality is that even though you have been a passenger, the 600 s/b is designed to deliver power and performance way beyond your skill level. It has the effect of making you feel invincible and is quite intoxicating. Novice riders routinely take chances they are not prepared to handle, ride at the top of the rpm limiter and sometimes act as if the public roads are a personal racetrack. I can appreciate the fact that you have ridden other machines, but that makes you the worst kind of novice: overconfident.

If you are not even licensed, then your first order of business is getting legal. In most states a safety course is required to obtain a license. You will be restricted to 250cc and below until age 18. The MSF course is the most popular and they supply the bike. You supply the required safety gear and a good attitude. At the end of the course you are evaluated and that serves as the driving test; you don't have to ride for a trooper. Take the completion form down to the DMV, pass the written test, and you walk out with your license that day.
Ride smart, ride sober, don't give motorcycling a bad name.

What should I know when buying a pickup truck?

Pickups today are the automotive industry’s fastest growing market. Pickups used to be driven primarily by contractors, ranchers and couples with a camper. However now they’re purchased as family passenger vehicles and tasked to do much more than simply haul cargo…The very first thing you need to know is what you will use your truck for. Will it be work? Commuting? Pulling a trailer? Do-it-yourself tasks? Hauling plywood, lumber or bricks? Carrying more than 2 or 3 people? Off-road use? Camping?Since pickups can be configured in numerous ways, these questions are important to determine which one is right for you. For example:If you’re using it for commuting, occasional home DIY work and it’s only your wife and you at home, then an economical, 4-cylinder, standard cab or extended cab truck is fine. An example would be the Nissan Frontier. If you have a family and pull a boat to the lake, which has a steep ramp, which can be slippery, then you will want a full-size, 4-door truck with four wheel drive and a powerful engine. A Chevy Silverado 4-door 4x4 might be a good option. If you’re a contractor who frequently hauls 8-foot lumber to the job site, along with a small work crew, then you will need a 4-door pickup with an 8-foot bed. A basic Ford F250 4-door work truck with minimal options and an 8-foot bed would probably be a great choice. If your wife and you are retired and pulling a 5th wheel trailer around the country, you will want a very comfortable truck with some luxury options, along with a powerful engine with lots of torque and a high payload rating. In this case, a loaded Ram 2-door, SLT with the Cummins Diesel engine, dual rear wheels and optional 5th wheel hitch would fit the bill. You also have to consider your budget, since it’s easy for new pickups today to top $40K, and some even sell for over $60K. Also consider the alternatives to trucks, which are vans. A van can often be more useful than a truck. For example, a large passenger van can haul 8 or more passengers, has a large amount of enclosed space inside and may still have the towing capacity you need for trailers. Vans also typically have cargo lengths of 8 feet or more. In any case, buy the vehicle that fits your needs best, and you’ll love your purchase.

What long board size is right for me?

First, the trucks (the axle / wheel assemblies) should be at least as far apart a the rider's feet when they are at shoulder-width. A foot placed just inside each truck when skating will yield the most control, especially for the beginner. This will usually mean a board of about 35 - 39 inches for a kid, and up to about 45 inches for an adult.
Wheelbase affects turning radius; the closer the trucks, the tighter the board will turn. Shorter boards are good for smaller riders, or for larger riders who want to make tight turns or to pump along flat ground. Longer boards won't turn as tightly, but they are steadier at speed and tend to carve better. A 36 – 45 inch length is about right for a new longboarder.
Some commuter boards, or "minis," are like shortboards with longboard wheels. They ride sort of squirrelly and erratically, but they can be fun. They negotiate crowds well (like on campuses or downtown) and they can be easily toted and stored away. Minis can also be good for small kids used to shortboards.
Carving/cruising boards are usually in the 42 – 50 inch range. Some are wider with a kick tail; some are flat and convex. Generally, a wider board will turn more easily. Pintails are usually designed for cruising and carving.

Under 4’ = 29” or smaller
4’ to 4’10” = 29” to 30” long
4’10” to 5’3” = 30.5” to 31.5” long
5’3” to 5”8” = 31.5” to 32” long
5”8” to 6’1” = 32” to 32.5” long
Over 6’1” = 32.4” and up

For your skateboard’s width, it all depends on how big your feet are. Most skateboards are around 7.5” to 8" wide, but can be wider or narrower. If you have larger feet, get a wider skateboard deck.

Once you have the basic size in mind, you can tweak it a little depending on what you want to do with your board. If you want to skateboard transition or vert, if you want to ride a lot of ramps or spend most of your time riding at the skate park, then a wider board is a good choice (8” wide or more). If you want to ride around streets more, and do more technical tricks with your board then try to keep it under 8” wide. If you are looking for a skateboard to cruise around on, and don’t plan on branching into tricks too much, then a bigger, wider board is always better.

hope this helps (:

What is a good 4 cylinder 4x4 truck?

Toyota makes a good 4-cyl truck. But if you go with a used toyota truck LOOK FOR RUST UNDERNEATH!!! Sadly enough, while yes they are good trucks, many of them rusted away worse than a ford!!!

Why not get an S-10 with a 4.3 v6 (or even a 2.2 4-cyl)? Especially pre 96.... This is a truck that will prob not let you down. The 1500 silverado is also avail with a 4.3 v6 if you don't want a v8

Simple Question - Used Ford F-150 or Toyota Tundra?

I would say the Tundra, get a lot more truck for the dollar. Ford's I believe are overpriced for what they are. I am a hardcore GM guy but even the Tundra caught my attention. lets see there 4.7 makes almost 290hp, and the 5.7 puts out around 380hp. Double cab has a lot more room in it comparably to the F-150. Secondly, Toyota is known for its long lasting vehicles. They may sound like crap, but I'll be damn if you can't kill them. I have driven the new tundra's both 4.7 and 5.7 and they are both impressive with power and torque. It might have taken the Japanese a long time to build a full size truck, but they got it right the first time. Also Tundra's hold a better resale value than most full size trucks. My father owns a 07 Tundra double cab XSP 2wd, 4.7L and it was able to pull my buddies Dodge 2500 without even struggling. At no point did the truck even sound like it was struggling pulling that big old Dodge. But to each there own; Just drive them both and see which one fits you better.

What's the best car to buy?

Thanks for the A2A.Original question:What is the best car to buy? What is the best car for a 30 year old single parent to a 7 year old boy who lives in Saskatchewan, Canada (that means 8 months of snow)Who wants a gas efficient car?Help please.First off, I really don't like questions that ask for the "best" of anything unless there is a plethora of details narrowing down the choices.  I'm not scolding but I am letting you know what I would buy in your situation.Subaru.  Every model is 4-wheel (all wheel) drive and that's great for traction in less than dry conditions.  The use a 4-cylinder engine which is easier on gas than a 6 or 8 like you would get in an SUV or full-size truck.  They have reasonably good build quality and will last for a very long time.  They are pricey in the used market but they have some of the best discounts from sticker as a new purchase.  Get a Legacy sedan or a Forester SUV if you need more room.Second choice: Toyota RAV4 or Honda CRV.  Excellent build quality, very good mileage and resale value. In deference to the the other answers a Grand Cherokee is a poor choice for mileage and for reliability.  I owned a brand new '94 GC and it was the worst vehicle I've ever owned, and I've owned many. You didn't specify new or used, coupe or SUV.  Makes it difficult to know what you might like.
