I Am Loosing Hair Some Front Area Is Already Bald. Should I Shave My Head But Afraid If Hair Wont

How do I convince my parents to let me shave my head? (Im a 16 y/o girl)?

I have been working with an organization called St. Baldricks for two years. Since I began helping, I have wanted to shave my head. For those who don't know St. Baldricks is a foundation that raises money for pediatric cancer and participants can shave their heads or cut their hair to donate it for Locks of Love and to stand in solidarity for those that have lost their hair due to chemotherapy treatments. I want to shave my head to show that your hair isn't and shouldn't be a symbol of beauty. Many young girls that lose their hair do not have the self confidence yet that enables them to feel pretty like all their peers who have nice hair, and I would honestly rather give my hair to someone who would appreciate it more than me. My dad is 100% against me doing this. He stands by the "traditional" values of femininity saying that girls should have long hair and not short or bald hair. He doesn't support me in doing this, something that I am passionate about and believe strongly in. He even told me that I wouldn't look beautiful with out my hair, which isn't something you tell a teenage girl. How can I convince him that shaving my head would be beneficial and is something that yeah, maybe I won't look good, but I wont regret it, because it will be for an amazing cause and it will make me feel good. Please help!!!!

Hair thinning only on right side of head?

I'd honestly rather just die than live like that. ...I don't really want my life on Earth to end just yet, though, and I would love to get this taken care of. It's maddening because I'm very healthy and look young like I said, and I haven't even had to go to a doctor since I've been a little kid, and even then I probably didn't really have to go. I think I was probably just taken to a doctor sometimes because that's what parents are told they're supposed to do. I have no health problems except for this, and I think maybe an overactive thyroid gland, but that's it that I know of, but if I can't get this taken care of, I don't know what to do.

Anyway, whatever it is that's wrong with us, I don't think it even has anything to do with common hair loss. I think this is a very unique condition, and I fear that it still might be a medical mystery as to what causes it. If that's the case, then I don't know what to do because *no* doctor is gonna know what they're talking about.

What stops balding men from just completely shaving their heads?

Original Question:What stops balding men from just completely shaving their heads?Answer:Nothing. I am balding. I have typical male-pattern balding. I don’t have a reccent photo. In any case, I doubt that the Internet would explode with excitement if I posted a photo of my blad head each and every day.I shave my head every day. Well, I shave my head every day that I shave. I never shave more than 5 or 6 days each week, though I rarely shave less than 4 days per week. There are multiple reasons for this.First, I guess I don’t have a very heavy beard. Second, I tend to change my blade often. There is no particular count. I toss the blade when shaving is no longer effortless. Third, my daughter bought a kind of facial scrub (for herself) when she visited me in California, last month. She left it behind when she returned to Florida. This scrub is a greyish thing that gets my face amazingly clean and leaves my skin pretty soft. Shaving after using this gives me an amazingly close shave. I don’t use this more than once a week. I bought it for her. But it’s too expensive for me to buy it for myself.Typically, I have a weird way of shaving. I shave my face and behind my ears, every time I shave. But I shave the back of my head only once or twice a week. I figure that if I can’t see the hair on the back of my head then it doesn’t exist. On the other hand, if the back of my head feels rough to the touch then I need to shave there. So, I avoid touching the back of my head because if I don’t touch it then there’s no proof that I need to shave it.So, basically, I do make an effort to stay completely bald, despite requests to the contrary. Remaining bald is very beneficial in many ways.First, I get caps as gifts, pretty routinely. So, no need to buy caps. Second, most women don’t like bald heads. So, no risk of having a girlfriend, never mind a wife. Third — and this may not be true for all — oiling my bald head keeps me warmer (in winter) than my hair did, when I had a full head of hair. The moisturising lotion my daughter left behind also protects my bald head from sunburn (in summer). Since I apply it to the back of my neck when I apply it to my head, this also keeps me from getting sunburned, all around. I need less after-shave because the lotion also works as an after-shave, in summer and in winter.I plan to stay bald forever.

I had a dream that I shaved my head... I'm a woman what does this mean?

well sweety you are holding your self back there is something you want to do and have for a long time i would just go do it. and what you will be doing is an expression of yourself . so just enjoy it and dont worry about what everyone around you thinks as long as you are happy they will be ok.

Do girls care about a guy's baldness or bald head before marriage or dating?

Probably the 4th time I'm asked to answer this question. First off, don't be conscious about being bald. One day, all men go bald anyways. I don't see the big deal here. Besides if you are losing confidence, there is nothing you can do about it by stressing. (That causes more hair loss you know)Get a good handsome physique. Hit the gym. I won't suggest any hair therapy or anything. Get bald without fear and be confident about itWork out and get a body so good that you'll be more confident in approaching girls. If you aren't keen on gymming, build up a strong personality. Hair isn't everything. Frankly it's just the society's way to mock bald people by calling them bald. Today if I'm to marry a bald guy I won't mind. Though what will prick me, will be the society's comments. "She married a bald guy."Indian society I tell you. All men go bald one day and yet the ones with few hair left on their head mock bald people. Hence without thinking much about your hair loss, think on how you can cover up for it. And not by getting a wig or hair loss treatment. But buy building up a personality and aura so grand that going bald suits you. P.S : At times, bald is super sexy ;) Try being a hot baldie :)

21 and going bald!! Girls, does hair mean that much?

Ok..Well I've never had a problem with woman, I mean they've found me attractive and stuff. But my hair is starting to thin out and I'm very insecure about it. I find myself puting on hats all the time. I guess some people would say this is stupid or whatever, but how do you get over it? Girls does a bald guy totally turn you off? Sure I know that if somebody doesn't like you for such a superficial thing, you don't need them. Yeah that sounds good on paper, but everybody wants to feel attractive. Comments appreciated!
