How do I view email older than a few months on Yahoo Mail on my old, slow computer without buying a premium account?
I don’t have a premium Yahoo account, and I have mail that is over 13 years old. I didn’t use Yahoo much after I signed up with Gmail, mainly because of their being hacked so many time, so I had over 50,000 unread messages. I wanted to clean it up so I could use it again.I have Thunderbird for my email client, it works in systems as old as Windows XP SP2. I went into my Yahoo account settings and allowed third party software, put my email and password into Thunderbird, and several hours later I had ALL my mail. It took me about an hour to clean it up, and now I have a nice clean mailbox at Yahoo again. My friend sent me some pictures of my son’s baptism 10 years ago that I thought were lost, but no, they were still sitting there nicely on Yahoo’s servers waiting for me to download them.

My boyfriend is in navy bootcamp (graduates this week), and him being away was the hardest thing ever bc I wasnt used to it! They only thing i can say is to write,write,write him! Bc it is harder on him than it is you and he can really use your support! Try keeping yourself busy to keep your mind off missing him to much that you fall into a depressive stage (happend to me A LOT!) Will avoiding someone on twitter and facebook make them miss me? I have sent this person 30 email's in about two month's and they sill want talk to me so I stopped sending email's and stopped going on twitter and facebook. Have I made the person hate me by sending so many email's? I have stopped and I hope they will start missing me.
Boyfriend has 3 months left of deployment, but is acting strangely?
Around this time of the deployment they are starting to prepare things for redeployment and it takes a lot of effort to do so. Repairs, inspections, and various other things are necessary to prepare for the incoming unit. If some of the people from the relieving unit are arriving already (they usually arrive three to four weeks prior but there could be multiple units coming in) that could tie up more computers, reducing the time he can talk. Some troops prefer to try and forget family and friends during deployment because if they keep thinking about them they loose their mind in homesickness. We had one soldier who couldn't go five minutes without calling his wife and eventually went crazy. He ended up going home after being deployed only four months and getting kicked out the army a few weeks later. While I'm not saying that about your boyfriend, he might be trying to concentrate more on his job now than you because the last 90 days of a deployment is when most accidents happen because people are getting excited about going home. Be patient and both of you will have a big smile on your faces in three months.
Yahoo! Mail - Old emails have disappeared.?
A number of people are having this problem of entire blocks of e-mail vanishing Yahoo have no idea why. The number of people on here who lose important mail, photo's, document's et al is amazing. The first rule of computers is make a back up. The second is..another one. . Hard drives die, memory sticks die, mail goes missing, with 1 Tb drives at the price they are now it's not that expensive. Better safe than sorry.
