I Am Not Using Standoffs But I Need Big Ones Where Can I Get Some

Post Doka La (Donglang) standoff, should (and would) Indian companies reduce their business with the Chinese ones?

This Doka La (Donglang) standoff between Indian and Chinese Armies (thank God, it’s over as better senses prevailed) reminds me of the title of one very interesting and internationally acclaimed Chinese movie of 2000. Yeah, you guessed it right, ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’.Only in this case the Tiger is not crouching anymore but pouncing and the Dragon is not at all hidden but out in the open with full gusto. But, hold your horses, isn’t the Tiger toothless and clawless here and isn’t the Dragon lacking fire-spewing skills, lacking gases which ignite the fire, lacking wings, lacking deadly tail, lacking trademark agility - in short lacking everything which defines a Dragon.Ok, we have heard enough of roaring from the tiger and more than enough of hissing and empty spewing from the Dragon. But, don’t you feel all these voices and noises were rather biased, over the top and mere chest-thumping and sloganeering exercises. Why didn’t we hear to some saner voices or rather humble musings of the people with actual bone of contention i.e. Royal yet Humble Bhutan.http://timesofindia.indiatimes.c...If you have read the above linked article then I don't think there is any need of further explanation. However, I do ponder about the TRUTH being served as NEWS during our dinner time or the so called prime-time of main stream media. Because, in my opinion, the truth that is being shoved into our throats is actually farthest from the REAL TRUTH (yeah, there are two versions of truth now-a-days; the ArdhSatya-Half Truth and the PoornaSatya- Absolute Truth). As for the business dealings of India with China, well, I am no expert but I do understand that India has the largest consumer market base in the world as of now and China is the biggest manufacturer, supplier, exporter of anything, everything and what not which a consumer can think of. Moreover, Chinese are building our Indian Statue of Unity and atleast we can give them that. Thanks for the Reading………….Hope this helps………………………….

In a Mexican standoff, if one person shoots and hits someone else in the head, will the victim have time to pull their trigger, either consciously or through a dying reflex? Can they still shoot their own gun?

Yes. It depends on *where* you're shot. You can stay conscious for a long time after being shot, if you're shot in a region that isn't critical for consciousness *and* that doesn't hit any major blood vessels. If the gunshot goes through one hemisphere rather than both hemispheres, for example - and spares the midbrain - then you can stay indefinitely conscious after being shot (though you would be advised to go to the hospital in order to be treated for brain swelling and possible infection - since these can ultimately be fatal) [1]As an example...http://www.cracked.com/article/1...Meet The Major, a 55-year-old British army veteran and known asshole who, after returning to civilian life, became "bad-tempered and depressed" (which seems to indicate that he was probably Irish). He began drinking excessively and slid further and further into debt until one morning he got out of bed, dressed himself sharply, combed his hair neatly and shot himself through the brain with a .38 revolver. Then he cooked breakfast. His wife found him later that morning (either he used a silencer or she is totally deaf) eating calmly with blood leaking out of both sides of his head. She called a doctor, but there wasn't a whole lot more he could do other than swab out the bullet holes and try to keep the Major's brain from sliding out like a Go-Gurt stick.[1] http://littlebytesnews.amplify.c...“If the bullet goes through both hemispheres and leans toward the base of skull that is where most of the vascular tissues are, and that can be a deadly result,” Alvarez said. “If the bullet goes through both hemispheres, but there is a clean exit wound, the patient can be lucky and there might not be any significant damage. Of course, the best prognosis is when the bullet affects only one hemisphere. Nonetheless, any gunshot wound to the head is going to leave residual side effects.”

After the Doklam standoff, what are China's motives behind showing such a friendly behavior towards India?

The Chinese have made significant investments in India. India is one of the chief markets for Chinese goods. I don't have any doubts regarding a capitalist hand (like many other wars in history) behind diffusing the Doklam tension. Strained relations with India means fall in business and opportunities for Chinese companies. Reputation goes a long way in sustaining businesses. If the stand off had continued it wouldn't have come as a surprise to see some Chinese companies being asked to pack off or wrap up operations. The Indian government had already begun to crack down on Chinese businesses in India. The Dokalam stand off was more like a war of egos. A full scale war was never an option for the Chinese because it would have further cemented its image as an aggressor, with imperialist motives providing the US and other nations more reasons to interfere in its affairs. Two Asian giants fighting a full scale war over a plateau which remains frozen for 8 months in an year is lame. China also knows somewhere that India is a far more reliable trading partner than Pakistan in the long run. Chinese capitalists would never want to alienate India in this regard. From a hardline communist nation, China has steadily embraced the tenets of capitalism, especially since economic reforms were enacted in 1978.

Mass effect 3: how to avoid killing Kaiden in the standoff on the citadel?

If you didn't get the blue option, then your paragon wasn't high enough. the only time I lost Ashley in that standoff was the first time I ever played, and that was without Mass Effect 1.
To save Kaiden/Ashley (I always save her, even with my Femshep)
1. Visit 3 times.
2. Those 3 times must be after doing at least one "Priority" mission between each one. For me, my 4 times were just after Mars (comatose), Palavan (awake, gave the preferred gift), Eden Prime (Standing), and Grissom Academy (gone). Side missions like N7s or Leviathan do not count.
3. Give the correct gift. I've never saved Kaiden because I prefer hot babes on my crew, even if they are nagging and whining. Ashley's is the "Collected Works of Alfred Tennison".
4. Deny Cerberus involvement whenever asked.
5. Thane or Kirrahe can step in and save the ambassador.

6. Here is the big one, where most people mess up:
There are several side missions that must be done before Priority Tuchanka. Once you do that mission with the genophage, Citadel II kicks off the next time you visit the Citadel, and incomplete side missions will forever be closed off to you, which will rob you of the reputation points you need.

Before doing Priority Tuchanka, make sure you do:
■Benning: Evidence
■Citadel: Alien Medi-Gel Formula
■Citadel: Barla Von (that Wet Squad war asset)
■Citadel: Biotic Amp Interfaces (obtained during Grissom Academy: Emergency Evacuation, therefore this mission must also be completed before Priority: Tuchanka)
■Citadel: Hanar Diplomat (You need to do it if you want Kasumi at your party)
■Citadel: Improved Power Grid (It's on Tuchanka)
■Ismar Frontier: Prototype Components
■Any interactions with Kelly Chambers (only available if she survived the Collector Base assault in Mass Effect 2). Also, if you visit and tell her to change her identity, she will remain available after the end of Priority: The Citadel II.
■Any interactions with Thane Krios in the Patient Lounge at Huerta Memorial Hospital (only available if he survived the Collector Base assault in Mass Effect 2).
■Conversing with James Vega in the Purgatory Bar.
■Conversing with Matriarch Aethyta in the Apollo's Cafe.
■Conversing with Joker and EDI in the Meridian Place Market on the Presidium.
■Conversing with Garrus in the Refugee Camp (if he survived the Collector Base assault in Mass Effect 2).

How do you keep a dog from eating through a chain link fence?

I have an 80lb American Staffordshire who likes to "break out" everytime we leave our house. He literally eats through the chain link fence! This only happens every 5-6 months where he goes through this phase of escaping for a few days/weeks and then goes back to his happy self...Help!
