I Am Recently Joining A Gym Guide Me

Is the gym equipment too big for me, or am I just doing it wrong?

I want to join the gym in town. I live in a small southern town in the middle of NOWHERE! Its a really small gym, but it has some good equipment. (But a little dated, most are from 1990,)

But I'm not sure if Im using it right. Im 4'10/4'11,(Really 4'10 but saying 4'11 makes me feel better:) And most of the equipment is really hard to use...
Usually the equipment has screws you have to fasten to adjust the seats and weights. But even after I adjust I have sit on my knees and try the best I can. It really hurts my back and feels weird.
There was one that I used with weights but my arms were really short and couldn't reach the handle bars, I tried but the bars would bend my arms behind my back, and it really hurts.
There are diagram that show which muscles are used on each machine but I never feel them being used, just soreness in my back and neck.
I usually don't get to use any thing but the tredmill and stair steppers.
Am I doing something wrong?? Is the equipment too big?? Should I find another gym??

What type of gym should you join?

I'm not too experienced, working out for the past 3 months now. But I can suggest you some things to look forward to before you join a gym.Every gym has all kind of dumbbells and barbells. Doesn't matter which gym you join. The gym should have a squat rack, as it's the best exercise you can do to lose weight. The bench to do all those bench presses.Treadmill or bike is not necessary to look forward to while joining a gym as you can do cardio outside the gym in a park or anywhere you like.Leg extension and leg curl machine.A cable crossover machine.A lat pulldown machine.A peck deck machine. All the other workouts can be easily done using the machines listed above or using dumbbells and barbells. Also, the gym should have trainers who really wants to help you in achieving your desired goals. Now go and start working out rather than thinking about it.Good luck. :)

How can I reduce 20 kgs in 200 days? Guide me with food plan from breakfast till dinner. Will gym help or walking, cycling and with a proper diet work? I'm a 30 year old 5.9 tall woman with 92 kgs. I want to achieve it by the end of May 2019. Help!

Weight loss dietThese days, many people are trying to diet. They may want to lose weight for a special occasion, such as their best friend's wedding or the high school reunion. They may be looking to lose weight to better their health.Or they may be battling the unsightly side effects of carrying too much weight – man boobs, beer bellies, and the likes. The weight loss battle:Anyone who has ever tried to lose weight realizes that there are really only two things that will work – diet and exercise.Exercise is no fun and diets are hardly better. In fact, many people have a hard time sticking to a diet because of the side effects – they are tired, hungry, and moody. Not to mention that diets leave them craving all the foods that they should not eat, making it more likely that they will result in a binge, damaging their efforts. Our bodies want to gain weight. This is a throwback to the Stone Ages when humans would go through periods where food was scarce. If the hunters were unable to take down a mammoth or other large prey, or if the growing season was thrown off making plant foods scarce, then they had to have a way to survive. So the body stored extra food as fat that could be burned for energy later on.These days we are in a battle with ourselves. We have to convince our body that we don't need to store extra fat.Since we are no longer spending our days constantly on the move, we also have to find a way to burn off extra fat before it becomes a problem. And while exercise is important, your diet is crucial. The types of food that you eat will determine whether your diet has a positive or negative impact on your weight. To continue visit :Weight Loss Diet | Super-foods

First time going to gym, need tips?

Hey you guys im a 15 year old girl, 5'4..weigh around 115lbs and i've always did at home workouts on weekdays! From, jump squats, lunges, burpees, planks, crunches, mountain climbers, wall sits, calf raises, push ups, tricep dips, and etc..I did those at home because as you know, you do not need any equipment. Also, I run about 2-3+ miles every other day for cardio. At one time, I preferred at home workouts due to the fact, I wasn't old enough to join my local gym and also im kind of scared to go to a gym. I enjoyed being alone and not being watched or judged. Plus, free to work on my own time.

However, I feel as if I need to push myself more. Bite the bullet and just go for it. I have no clue what machines are out there, how to work them, or any gym rules. In addition, my mom goes to the gym practically everyday and my brother is a personal trainer so the gym is pretty much home to them. They want me to go with them and assist me with the machines. So, I know they would guide me in the right direction. In addition, I just want information for myself. So I can kind of approach the day already prepared. I don't want to solely depend on them if you understand what I mean.

So any tips on how to behave in the gym, explain any machines that i could use, any of you guys have any workouts for me to do for like a first time workout person, and also any at home workouts to do too!

THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE,
I really appreciate it!
Im trying to focus more on gaining muscle, mainly my legs, I would love to have killer quads and calves. I see improvement on my arms and abs but hey, I would love to see MORE of a BETTER improvement and a nice bum would be nice too lol. I don't mind pushing myself and breaking a sweat so just please help me out! (:
I so want that toned, athletic body..so I would do anything to get there!

I am looking to start working out, but I have no experience in doing so. Do I need to bring a workout plan, or will there be somebody to guide me?

If you're joining a gym that includes group exercise classes I would recommend attending each type of class.  That way you can gain exposure to different types of movements and see which one you prefer.  Once you find what you're interested in you can start researching your own types of workouts that include those movements.Using a personal trainer is great also, but definitely costs more. There are many different workout plans out there.  I've seen many people who have been successful with:Kayla Itsines - Sweat With KaylaStrongLifts 5x5: The Simplest Workout To Get StrongerStarting Strengthhttp://bodyforlife.com/

What motivates you to go to the gym daily in the winter?

To be honest, I joined gym just to get fit into my t-shirts. I was so skinny that I actually used to wear shirts only and avoid t-shirt. I get into good condition after sometimes(natural till date). I may look like a big guy in this pic, but I'm not. My weight is only 70 kgs. I think my body definition gives a kind of illusion that I'm big (yeah, my abs aren't in symmetry in this pic). This pic is 2–3 years old. Now, I'm not that serious about my physique, nor I do lift heavy weights. Now, the thing that still motivates me to go to gym is myself, my old pictures. When I see them, I always felt like those were my glorious days. When I was on my way to somewhere or on social media, strangers appreciated me and started taking advice (yeah, strangers include courier boy, police, some random guy in Metro, aunty in gym, uncle while crossing the road etc). I missed this part when I left gym. It always felt so awesome, when you're not a famous personality but some strangers make you feel so.So, these are all things that keep me motivate any time of the year to atleast maintain where I was in past. I loved those special unwanted attentions and also loved to guide anyone who came to have some tips about making decent body. This is my current condition.Follow me here on Quora Robins Singh to know more about my interesting Fitness journey and to get some free gym knowledge.

I am 15 years old. Will going to gym give me a healthy and attractive body? I am also thin.

First of all its good that you are health concerned. And hitting gym at the age of 15 i think is good but it is bad when it comes to hardcore training and consuming protein, creatinine stuff. And hardcore work out at the age of 15 may backfire at you. I am telling you out of my experience of 5 years of muscle training and weight training .join the gym if you want to be fit but donot indulge yourself into taking protein and stuff to get thicker or muscular. I had been hitting the gym for last 5 years then i have switched to mixed martial arts. There is time for you. Wait for 3 more years , let your body develop to a level where you can endure hardcore workout .proteins etc. All the best buddy
