Mail not being saved to sent folder

Yahoo upgraded classic mail to "new" classic mail a few weeks ago. Many people have been experiencing different kinds of problems since the switch. Here's a chart outlining the changes.

http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/cl... >classic mail changes

One of the changes is "auto-save to draft". That means as you compose an email a copy of the email is automatically saved in the draft folder every few minutes. When you send the email the draft copy is *supposed* to be deleted and a copy put in the sent folder. I suspect this is why you're not getting a saved copy in your sent folder.... no matter what Yahoo says.

This might work for you and get copies of emails saved in the sent folder. First, disable the "Save a copy of the message in the Sent folder" option.
1. Click Options in the upper-right corner of your Yahoo! Mail page.
2. At the top of the list on the left side of the page, click General.
3. Un-check the box next to "Save a copy of the message in the Sent folder".
4. Click Save Changes above the options area.
5. Restart computer to make sure change takes effect.

Next clear your browser cache of old cookies, temp files, and history. They can keep returning you to a non-working website or web page. This article from Boston University explains how. Select your operating system logo and then your browser.

Now re-enable the "save to sent folder" option and restart your computer.

Why are the emails I compose in Gmail going directly into the trash immediately after I click "Send"?

Filters is one place to look, but the mailbox you are checking could have forwarding set up on it.Look in settings > forwarding.  See if the option  is set to delete your mail after forwarding.  Turn it off or leave it and use the mailbox you are forwarding all your messages to instead.

WHY DO MY EMAILS GO TO MY DRAFT FOLDER BEFORE I CAN SEND IT?

When sending email I'm not clicking save, I am 100% sure that I am clicking 'send', but email is still saved to draft folder anyway any prematurely, before I can even finish. I just recently started having this problem maybe a couple of months ago. After 10 maybe 15 minutes of composing email it automatically saves in draft Without my clicking to 'save' and I'm not aware of it until I try to send it. I check it in draft and it's incomplete, which is why I'm having to copy and paste so that I don't have to re-type the entire original copy. I am 'Sending' but it's doing some kind of premature 'save' in draft and won't allow me to send the original because it's like it's searching and can't find what I'm trying to send. Can anyone help?

How can i tell if i've been blocked from sending email (yahoo mail) to a specific person? will it tell me?

If you have had your E-mail blocked by a person you sent mail to, you may get an E-mail saying your mail was not able to be delivered. It usually says why in the message, but there are times you will not be notified. So, it is possible not to know at all.
If your mail has stopped having a copy go to your send box, you need to check your mail options settings.
Click on the 'Options' link at top right corner of mail screen.
Options / Mail options / General preferences
Under the 'Folders/search results' area, make sure you have check marked the 'Save your sent messages in the Sent Items folder' line.
When done click on the save button.

Why does gmail delete my sent mail?

As others have said, Gmail does not do this - or not normally. Default behavior is for your sent items to be “archived”, with a “sent” label on them. So if you click on the sent label in the left hand column, or do a search, you should see all your sent mail. If you do not, then there are only a couple of possibilities. Google Groupswdurham said:If you are using the webmail interface, GMail automatically applies a Sent label to all mail you send, and those mails - and thus any conversation which contains a message sent by you - will show up when you click Sent in your sidebar. This label cannot be removed. If you don't see your Sent mail when you click Sent, then either:1. Something is deleting those conversations from your account. The most common culprit is a misconfigured filter designed to work on incoming mail. But filters also work on outgoing mail and can produce unexpected and unwanted results. A second common reason is that people mistakenly believe that what they see in Sent mail is a duplicate of what they see elsewhere, and so they delete the "duplicates".OR2. You are using another device or client to send mail, and this sent mail appears only on that client or device. So check the settings in the client or the app you use on the device, and make sure that you haven't opted for mail sent from there to appear in another folder, usually a local one, instead of having it go to the GMail Sent folder.

How can one track whether a sent email was read? I’m using gmail.

You can set any email to use the read receipt feature and be notified as soon as the recipient opens your message. This feature works across most email services and clients, even for contacts who do not use Gmail.Compose a message using your Gmail account as you normally would.Click “Request return receipt” under the “To:” text box. A new checkbox option will appear.Place a check in the box next to the “Request read receipt” option and then send your email.Check your Gmail inbox later for a confirmation. It will come in the form of a new email letting you know which contact opened which message and the time your message was read. Also I recommend you to use Gmail integrated NetHunt CRM. This tool offers unlimited folders, records and follow-ups, as well as email tracking, calendar support and mass emailing. The app adapts your inbox with basic CRM functions. Emails are shown with qualifying information, and clicking on the NetHunt icon beside the sender’s name allows you to search for relevant records. NetHunt also allows filtered views of records.NetHunt allows for email marketing campaigns and a customizable sales pipeline. It’s offered at tiered pricing plans; a Small Business plan costs $25 per month for 5 users; various Growing Business tiers increase the price and user cap.

Draft folder shows 1 item but nothing is actually in there!?

It sounds like you have the answer yourself.
If you save without a subject line, then when you look at the folder, it will appear empty. But, there should be a date stamp on the message and possibly a recipient. My test with the Yahoo web mail classic client put [no subject] in the subject column and let me click on that to open it. The select tick box also showed. Hopefully, your email client will allow you to reopen/select yours in the same or another equally simple way.

Ask a friend to help you by viewing the folder display. Often a second pair of eyes will spot something you missed. [This is why printers used to have proof-readers!]
