I Am So Into Books Lately I Cant Find A Good And Interesting One What Would You Recommend

I cant understand why but lately I have an never ending quest for eating. All I can just think of eating something yummy. what could be the reason?

There are many possible reasons for it likeYou body lacks certain minerals or vitamins (nutrients) for ex : If you crave for sweet food. Your body is lacking food which has chromium. You are suffering from Binge eating disorder. Here are some behavioral symptoms: Inability to stop eating or control what you’re eatingRapidly eating large amounts of foodEating even when you're fullHiding or stockpiling food to eat later in secretEating normally around others, but gorging when you’re aloneEating continuously throughout the day, with no planned mealtimesEmotional symptoms of binge eating and compulsive overeating    Feeling stress or tension that is only relieved by eating    Embarrassment over how much you’re eating    Feeling numb while bingeing—like you’re not really there or you’re on auto-pilot.    Never feeling satisfied, no matter how much you eat    Feeling guilty, disgusted, or depressed after overeating    Desperation to control weight and eating habitsYou dont have to have all symptoms. Some can be indicators of origin or initial stage of Binge eating disorder. Some tips : Accept the urge and ride it out, instead of trying to fight it. This is known as “urge surfing.” Think of the urge to binge as an ocean wave that will soon crest, break, and dissipate. When you ride out the urge, without trying to battle, judge, or ignore it, you’ll see that it passes more quickly than you’d think. Distract yourself. Anything that engages your attention will work: taking a walk, call a friend, watch a tv show etc. When you start to notice the urge to binge, turn to talk to a friend or family member you trust. Sharing what you’re going through can help you feel better and discharge the urge to binge. Delay.  Even if you’re unsure if you’ll be able to fight the urge to binge, make an effort to delay it. Try to hold off for 1 minute. If you succeed. Try to stretch it out to 5 minutes. If you delay long enough, you may be able to avoid the binge. Most important of all support yourself with healthy lifestyle.Meditate. Eat, Sleep and wake up on time.

What are some must-read books about dating and relationships?

I highly recommend The Marriage Test by Jill Andres and Brook Silva Braga. The Marriage Test is based on a true story about a couple that created a set of obstacles designed to explore their relationship deeper and develop better communication. As a result of each “test,” the couple learned about themselves discovering what works and what doesn’t.What I thought was brilliant about The Marriage Test was the depth of sincerity of Jil’s and Brook’s struggle to overcome everyday challenges they lived in. Each challenge played a crucial role in simulating the issues that could either tank or strengthen their union. Imagine, swapping credit cards with your boyfriend or girlfriend for a month, borrowing a baby for a weekend or saying things like…“Our bathroom is disgusting at almost all times. Since you’re the boy and you lift up the seat more often than I do, if you ever notice it’s dirty, one option you have – I’m sounding like a bitch right now but I’ve kept this inside for two years – is just to take some toilet paper and wipe it around the toilet bowl rim, thus making it look less like there’s shit all over it.”The Marriage Test not only contains numerous examples of issues the rest of us tries to overcome in our lives, but also takes us to each person’s thoughts about how that person perceives the situation:“Did she have a point that I let things slide and she ended up coordinating most of the details of our life? Yes, she did. Was that because she was often impatient and would rather do everything herself that wait for me to do it?”Whether you are a couple with a desire to remain a couple, someone who likes to learn from other people’s stories, or someone who is simply curious about how relationships work, you won’t regret reading this book. You can read full article here: The Marriage Test: Our 40 Dates Before "I Do"

I can't read books anymore. What is happening?

This is because watching something requires the use of multiple senses (or atleast engages multiple senses), reading on the other hand is a simultaneous exercise in concentration, interpretation and imagination. It is not mere entertainment because it requires you to concentrate - you can't drift away, because then you're missing things and good books will link back to those things you missed (unlike the video format where sometimes creators make use of repeated patterns or loud pauses to account for this drifting away).Reading is an exercise. To make it to the stage where it becomes an entertainment, you need to invest in the art of reading.I would suggest integrating reading and watching videos. I made a rule that if I were ever to watch a movie based on a book that I wanted to eventually read, I would always read the book first. Then you have your own interpretation which you pit against the video adaptation. Your involvement is beyond the media format, but rather you're interested in the story.Don't give up. The pleasures of reading await your interest and attention, so desperately.

I have been feeling depressed lately for no reason?

Depression can be understood in terms of it being the emotional response to thinking unpleasant thoughts. People who are depressed think of things that make them unhappy. Sometimes this is entirely reasonable for example in the case of bereavement, life struggles or the breakdown of an important relationship. At other times the thoughts that drive low mood are not helpful or accurate.

It is important to know which thoughts cause the unhappiness and if they are an accurate reflection of the situation. How then can we find out how accurate our thoughts are? A good start is to think in specific terms about the evidence that supports a thought or belief. If there is no evidence, what else could to be true? If there is no evidence to support a thought that prompts sadness it is possible that there are thinking errors in thinking habits. In depression, black and white thinking, emotional reasoning, predicting, catastrophising and mind reading are common. Low self-esteem and poor self-confidence can also influence mood.

Another consideration is state dependant memory, which is the mind's tendency to recall things from a similar state. Therefore, when we're happy we are more likely to think of happy things and when we're sad we're more likely to remember occasions when we were sad.

It is important to make the real, practical, changes where possible. When change is not possible, do not attribute the problem to a personality flaw. Be objective and connect cause and effect without inappropriate blame. Remember that, while depressed, there is a tendency to be self-critical. Though it is very difficult to stop unpleasant and unhelpful thoughts altogether, it is possible to correct them with more helpful ones. When people become depressed they may stop doing the things that make us all happy and well.

Even at times when motivation is poor it is important to eat well ,sleep well, exercise and maintain positive friendships.

What books have you read recently?

I just finished Khaled Hosseini’s “A Thousand Splendid Suns” . That book broke me.Seriously !!!Halfway through the book, I was walking around like a clinically depressed girl. Only after I completed it , I was alright. It was the second book that made me cry my hearts out. Every one has to read it. They just have to.Before that I was reading Sidney sheldon’s “ Windmills of the gods”. It was a good read. It was interesting and the plot twists are perpetual. Before that I was reading Dan Brown’s “ The Lost symbol”. Yet another thriller that I did not keep down without completing. Before that, Dan Brown’s “ Angels and Demons” and prior to that “Davinci code”. I was sitting with my jaw dropped expression through the entire book. You have heard of the expression ‘keeps you on the edge of the seat’, right? ! These two books shows you what that exactly means. The current book I am reading is Dan Brown's Inferno . Dan Brown has showed his gut wrenching magic with his words yet again. I have just completed 19 chapters,..who knows how many plot twists lie ahead!PS -If you are wondering which was the first book that made me cry, It was John Green's “ The fault in our stars”. I am more of a mystery buff and the clichéd romance novels are not my forte, but this one was way beyond ‘just romance’. The way the words flowed and the way the words made emotions flow was just…………just……( can't be described by words). And many more before ‘Davinci code’ and many will follow after ‘Inferno”…This is @Nivedha CB ………the girl addicted to books and coffee combo(and rain if possible) . ……..signing off for now.Ciao!

Why am I finding it so hard to read a book?

Perhaps you are trying too hard and your brain is hitting a metal wall. Try relaxing and reading just to read again. Language isn't always about every single word, sometimes it's about the picture as a whole. Part of the reason you may be having trouble is that your brain and your eyes aren't perfectly synced up (this is what is supposed to happen). When you are reading your eyes are typically a few words ahead of your comprehension so that you can read fluently, and this coordinates a whole bunch of layers of understanding language that happen while you read. When you stop and focus on every word you are halting this process and having to think differently, more of the parts and less of the whole.
You may also be skimming and struggling to read the books because you aren't reading what you really want to read. Tastes change over time, sometimes completely, sometime temporarily. Try reading something new and different. Whenever I start having trouble getting into books I look for interesting books in a totally different genre or a different genre with similar themes. For example, instead of fantasy with some romance I go for more action or realism with some romance (if I'm in a romantic mood), or instead of fantasy fairies I will read retold fairy tales. Or I will look for some historical fiction for something totally different.

Why doesn't reading interest me as much?

Maybe you're not being challenged enough with the reading or the content of the story doesn't interest you. Try writing a story, this is what I did when I got bored reading about things, I decided to create stories. Maybe you're BURNED OUT on BOOKS, it happens. Try reading more difficult books like those on philosophy, if you really want a challenge read some Nietzsche or ancient philosophy such as Aristotle or Plato. Try NONFICTION, you're BORED, which is why you can't get into reading. Find a subject you like and read about it, do some research, take a thesaurus with you. I don't think you have ADD because if you've been at the highest level for a long period of time that doesn't fit with the focus problem.
