I Am Studying My O-levels Now I Am Figuring Out Whether To Do Extended Or Just Core

What determines grade level in college?

At most colleges/universities this is determined by number of credit hours:

0 - 29.9 credit hours = freshman
30 - 59.9 credit hours = sophomore
60 - 89.9 credit hours = junior
90 - 120 (and up) = senior

*Of course, some exceptions apply; for example, if you go to a junior college or a community college that only offers associates degrees then you could have 70 credits and would still be considered a sophomore....

Not sure whether to do a sociology degree or not?

I'm in my second year at college now and it's getting to the point where I need to decide which degree to do and where to do it. My grades at as level are:
Sociology: A
History: B
English Language: B
Psychology: B

The thing is, I've heard countless number of times people telling me that a sociology is a 'useless' degree. For instance, when a friend told another friend they were doing a sociology degree, the group of friends actually laughed. I've thought about doing a law degree, or even an English degree, just because I know they're probably seen as better. I don't know much about a career in law or whether I would enjoy learning about it but it's really starting to seem more desirable than sociology is. Sociology is my best subject. I'm naturally talented at it and I enjoy it a lot but I don't want a rubbish career. Truth be told I'm drawn to the salary you get with a law degree than anything else. I want to earn 50K+. Could someone please help me, all the career helpers I've visited so far have been useless!

Business Administration Major and How much math do you need?

Not a whole lot. My concentration was in finance where most of the math is (supposedly) involved. They made us take business calculus as a core requirement and that was it.

I wouldn't sweat about it.

Edit: Tyrael, While advanced math courses are necessary for finance (if you're planning to go for a CFA or Master in Quant Finance. And maybe in MBA. But if you're planning to take the MBA route, we all know it's the name of the school and the networking that matter more than anything), from my experience it wasn't needed at the undergraduate level at all.

And I don't believe they devote a class to trend forecasting at the undergrad level at least not to the level where advanced math is needed. If yours do, you must have went to a school with an extremely good program-even better than the UC system (the one I attended)

Would IB help me get into the study abroad program?

The IB program requires lots of AP classes(evil AP tests?) including art, along with a class called theory of knowledge and a foreign language immersion class, and an extended essay. I have to figure out whether or not I'm going to claim it in the next 6th months. And I really want to study abroad, it's been my dream ever since I was little.
Or would the AP track be suffice. I'm a year ahead in science according to the national average, one year ahead in honors English and one or two in math. So is the IB worth it? I'm a really good student I have a GPA of 3.8 and can maintain it with little to no issues, but I'm not so sure I can do it.
So
a) How hard is the Study Abroad program to get into?
b) Is IB worth it?
c) Instead of IB should I take the classes that would narrow in my focus on my talents?
d) If you have an IB diploma how hard was it to get?

Are the ice core CO2 measurements accurate?

Professor Zbigniew Jaworowski reports that we have "False Low Pre-industrial CO2 in the Atmosphere". He spent 40 years studying glaciers for a reconstruction of the history of man-made pollution in the global atmosphere. He says that snow on top of the glaciers has air circulating through it for thousands of years before it compacts and freezes to the point that air is trapped in tiny bubbles. He also says that chemical changes occur under pressure and due to the salinity of the water. When the cores are drilled they form cracks and get contaminated with drilling fluid. All these factors produce a very low resolution CO2 reconstruction. Does anyone know of another method of reconstruction that yields a higher resolution data set or another method that can confirm the present data?

I have seen other reconstructions based on Stomatal frequency of different types of plants, but I don't know how accurate they are.
