I Am The First And Won

Who was the first Muslim to get a Nobel Prize?

The first Muslim Nobel prize laureate was Anwar Sadat, the then president of Egypt, who shared the 1978 peace prize for his peace treaty with Israel. The first Muslim science winner is a bit less well defined. Pakistani physicist Abdus Salam shared the 1979 prize for his work on electroweak unification. However, Salam was a follower of Ahmadiyya, a heterodox Islamic movement that is considered non-Muslim by many mainstream Muslims due to its belief in a prophet after Muhammad (though Ahmadis follow the same articles of faith and pillars as other Muslims). There is some resemblance here to the LDS Church, which is considered non-Christian by many Christians, despite believing that Jesus died for our sins. The first non-Ahmadi Muslim science winner was the Egyptian chemist Ahmed Zewail, who won the 1999 prize for his work on femtochemistry, though 1998 Medicine winner Ferid Murad was born to a Muslim Albanian father (but raised Christian). The first Muslim literature winner was Egyptian writer Naguib Mahfouz, who won the prize in 1988.

Which country won the very first FIFA World Cup?

It was Uruguay back in 1930 when they beat Argentine 4-2. A little extra info the tourney was also held in Uruguay :)

I'm virgin, i'm afraid i won't last long my first time? Is it a turn off for you ( Girls ) if a guy is virgin?

No, it is absolutely not a turn off for me! I am 17th year old virgin girl who has never kissed! To be honest, i am glad to know that i will be a guy's first kisser! And with reference to virginity.. i like being with a virgin guy because i love his innocence! And also, it is great to know that ì am the first to take his virginity :) But that does not mean of course that i prefer less the experienced ones! :) As for the first time sex, it is completely normal to worry and maybe release semen fast... Trust me, the girl will be also so worried that she will care about her presentatìon! Anxiety harms..a friend told me that in the begining you are worried but then you are relaxed and become a little calm :) imagine playing a violin for the first time ! It will be awful but then you play great! This is how sex is ! In the begining it may be awkward but later you become more experienced and realise things that your partner and you like :)

What was it like to face your first case in court, as an attorney?

It was, as Kimberly Brown said, "Terrifying and exciting."  My first trial was a criminal trial and I represented the defendant. The prosecutor was asking for ten years on a charge of ABHAN (Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature).  My client was accused of driving a car over the prosecuting witness ("victim").  The evidence showed that the "victim" was assaulting my client and he tried to leave the premises when the "victim" placed himself in harm's way.  They were fighting over a woman.  The victim had some severe injuries, but he was clearly not entirely without blame in the matter.  The key witness was a long-time friend to both the victim and my client and was in the car with my client.  He testified that my client really was trying to get away from the assault and definitely did not intend to drive over the victim.  It was a heavy burden to carry for a while because ten years' imprisonment is pretty serious stuff (even if he might have won early parole).  I got a hung jury and the prosecutor said he would retry the case.  After the trial, my client decided to plead guilty to another charge (if I recall correctly) and accept a sentence of six months (which he had already served) with credit for time served.  Overall, a win.My first civil trial was essentially a breach of contract case and I represented a defendant with another attorney representing a co-defendant.  The case was not too long and we won.  Since I was in-house counsel, and this was my first case for my client, that was an important win.  Nice beginnings.

Why am I not happy even though I won first place in a competition?

Thanks for the A2A.You didn’t give much context / additional information (e.g. in the comment) regarding your question. That means that I can only give some general thoughts:When I play a volleybal match, I’d rather play a great match and loose than playing a lousy match and win. For me it’s all about the pleasure and sporting together with my team mates and not so much about winnign. Although trying to win is a stimulus to do the best we can.Maybe you had very high expectations about what would happen if you’d won the competition: a special feeling you would feel, credits you would get from others etc. And once you’d won, you didn’t feel that special and didn’t get the amount of credits you thought you would. So the experience itself was not as great as you’d imagined it beforehandAks yourself the question:“Why do I think winning the first place in this competition makes me happy”? Then write about 10–20 answers and ask yourself if you have earlier life experiences in which one or more of those reasons actually made you happy. If one or some of them did, you can try to find out what was different in that earlier life experience compared to winning this time and you might find the answer.

First time going to summer camp, and I am not going with a friend? Super nervous!?

I went to two different summer camps, and both times I didn't know anyone. Here's what I can tell you. if you are the kind of person who normally has lots of friends, you will probably make lots of friends there. Sure, there will probably be some people who know each other from the year before but, after the first day or two, they'll still be looking for others to be friends with.

If you are the kind of person who normally has just a few good friends, that's what will probably happen in summer camp, too. And if you are a loner, well, you still will be. All you have to do is get over the first few days when you'll probably feel a little strange and out of place. So, go with the attitude that it will all work out because. . . it will!

As far as the food goes, more than likely they'll just serve regular stuff, but the kind of stuff that is easy to cook a lot of all at once and that don't cost a lot. More than likely, nothing will be really spicy or weird because, after all, they are going to try and serve food that the average person would like. Unless you have very refined tastes or are used to gourmet cooking and fancy restaurants, it will probably be all right. Not great, but good enough.

As far as sleep goes, again it will probably work out like however you normally sleep. Sure, the first few nights might be rough. But, if you are a person who normally goes to sleep easily, then that is what will happen in camp, too. Almost definitely you will adjust pretty quickly.

About being boring. . . that is harder to say. Some camps have lots of fun activities and others have fewer activities or at least not such interesting ones. In part, it depends upon what you like. However, if it is boring for you, it will probably be boring for others, and then you'll end up spending a lot more time hanging out and talking to your new friends.

For me? I never wanted to go home! I loved swimming (in both camps I went to, they were on fresh water lakes) and canoeing and hiking, so lots that we did was great fun for me.

It's understandable that you're nervous. That's normal. But I bet, after you are there a few days, you'll start having a great time!
