I Am Twenty And Want To Go Three Hour Drive Away To A Hotel For A Concert Should I Have To Ask

My parents won't let me go to a concert?

I am almost 16. By the time that the concert is here, I will be 16 and driving, yet my parents still won't trust me to go with my friends. And It's a concert for Ed Sheeran, it's not like I'm trying to go see some rapper or crazy rock band. I asked them to go and my mom said "Ok, buy 3 tickets, we can all go together!". They haven't ever even heard his music, they don't know who he is, but they want to go to his concert? I asked if I could at least sit with my friends and they told me that I can't, I must stay with them the whole time or else I can't go! Why would I want to go to a concert where nearly half my school will be at, all of my friends, and sit with my parents?

My mom thinks that because "she was a teenager once", that I am the same as her. She also has told me that many artists have SEX with their fans once the concert is over and that she thinks I would do that. I am nothing like that...I get all A's, never done a drug in my life, I don't even have a boyfriend, I'm not sure where she gets these ideas. She has also told me that she won't ever leave me home alone for a weekend because she think's I'm going to invite guys over and have sex with them, which I have no interest in doing.

But back to the question, am I being unreasonable or are they? Every time I try to bring up the concert she goes to buy the tickets and gets mad over something I said about her and my dad coming, which the only thing I have said is that she doesn't even know who he is so I don't understand why she wants to come.

I'm going to college in two and a half years, and I plan to go out of state. They still treat me as if I were the same age as my two younger siblings, 8 and 10. She has the same rules for me as they do for them. How am I ever going to be able to make decisions for myself or live on my own in a few years if they don't trust me or give me any responsibility?

How long is a Coheed and Cambria concert wih Circa Survive?

It starts at 8 and I'm guessing it will be anywhere from 2- 3 hours or so...

I DESPERATELY want to go to that and my dad was gonna buy me a ticket but he said I need a way there and back plus someone to go with because it's in a sketchy neighborhood hahaha I am extremely pissed. :(

How to convince my parent to bring me to a concert only days away?

Ok so I want to go to this WTK (We the kings) concert in Buffalo. I live around six hours away from there and I want to ask my mom to buy tickets for me AND her ( since you have to be 16+ to be by yourself) and take me. I do understand "Like six hours? ARE YOU NUTS?" LOOL I KNOW BUT UGH I WANT TO SEE THEM SO BAD ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY. Problem is, that the concert is on Monday like MONDAY. And my mom has work and I was wondering if asking her to take me to a concert 3 days away and ALSO asking her to take off work would be to much? I'm sure she'd love to take of work but the concert is so soon. I just found out about it and I really want to go! How do you guys think I should ask her? Like what to say or when/where? I mean there's not much time.. Thank you in advance.

~ Btw the tickets are so cheap like 20 US dollars each.

I want to go here for my 16th birthday. What should I know about Detroit?

I want to know about shopping, movie theaters, parks, zoos, amusement parks, attractions, restaurants, hotels, etc. PLEASE GIVE DETAILED ANSWERS ABOUT THESE THINGS. INCLUDE ALL THESE THING IN YOUR ANSWER CAUSE I WANT TO KNOW....

Should i leave dog in our hotel room in La Quinta or leave him loose in part of the house? Please help?!?

I have a small dilemma. Ok, there is a concert i have tickets to attend. It is three hours away on a Saturday night. The dilemma involves leaving my dog in either part of the house (two rooms open for him to walk or move) or in the hotel room alone while im at the concert? I don't have any friends who can take care of him or watch him. So i'm stuck with those two choices.

If i leave him in our hotel room in La Quinta alone (the hotel allows dogs) i'm afraid he'll bark tons while we are away for 3 hours. The city we are going to does not have dog Kennels or dog Hotels, so he'll stay in a regular human hotel lol. (Once we left him outside a relatives fenced house and he was barking a lot while we were inside.)

Or leave him in the house while we leave in the afternoon and return the next morning. He would have two rooms to move around in and we would leave food and water. He's trained to poop on the pads inside our house but there's always a small chance he could ruin something if he gets bored.

So what choice is best? Both are tough :(

Can anyone learn how to be a chef without going to culinary school?

Of course. Go to a restaurant that cooks from scratch. Start as a dishwasher. Work your ass off. Learn what a truly clean kitchen looks like and how to get it there. Become known to the chef as a hard worker with a passion to learn. Volunteer to help with prepwork. Ask the Sous to show you knife cuts. Take the lessons home and practice there. Buy a bag of carrots and keep practicing. Pick up a copy of On Cooking. Read it. Then read it again. Go online and watch demos on cooking techniques. Watch PBS cooking shows. Take notes. Volunteer to do more prep work. Do the tedious tasks and don't complain about them. Take some of your pittance of a salary and join the ACF. Go to the meetings and classes they offer. Gain a mentor. Learn from everyone there. They all have knowledge they want to impart to the next generation of chefs. This is a long, slow, and painful process. For those that have the passion, it is all part of the package deal. The skills and habits learned at the low levels will carry through with you as you advance. It takes years to acquire the knowledge and skill base a chef has. It takes dedication. Know and accept that there will be plateaus and hurdles to your advancement. Don't give up. Just keep learning and improving your skills.Eventually, you will be more skilled and knowledgable than those who went to school. School only takes you so far. Drive and dedication takes you the rest of the way. School gives you a safe place to fail. And you Will fail in the real world. Just accept that failure will happen and to take the consequences.Good luck!!
