Some great answers here! For me, LinkedIn groups are a sleeping giant. I think if LI can make some sensible tweaks things could improve.I run a group (which I suppose acts as an extension to my personal brand) called SmarketingMinds (yes, bad name but I was looking to combine Sales and Marketing. I initially started it on Facebook because for me, the business groups there are used 100x more than LinkedIn. This is very strange given Facebook’s premise but due to the privacy settings no-one is going to see your business related posts.I feel the key reason for Facebook’s success is through notifications. (Now I could be wrong here) but if someone posts in a group I am a member of on LinkedIn I don’t get an alert (highlighted red on the bell icon), so you have to physically navigate to the groups to see what’s going on. On Facebook, I will see an alert (if I choose to) and will generally go on to read the content. In addition to Facebook I added a Twitter page to help drive new people into Facebook, then opened a Hive on the relatively new platform BeBee.I had a dormant group on LinkedIn which only last week I re-invigorated and updated the info with my sMarktingMinds content. I did this because I feel some people don’t like to join Facebook Groups as it’s strictly for their own personal use. This way, I can add to LinkedIn and still share valuable content, with the potential for them to move over to FB if they want to in the future!I hope my contribution is useful.

I start a new school tomorrow and I'm scared?
School here started a week ago, but I just moved here so I'm going to be starting tomorrow. This will be my senior year of High School and I'm REALLY terrified because everyone will already know each other and will already have had friends they've known for a long time and I'll feel like I am sort of intruding and that I don't belong. I am supposed to be asleep right now but I can't sleep because I am SO nervous. I have also not had time to go to the school and get a tour so I literally have absolutely no idea where anything is or where to go. I already know I'm going to be too afraid to ask any other students for help and I feel like the teachers or staff members will find me annoying because I'm completely clueless. I'm really afraid of teachers yelling at me for being late to class because I couldn't find it, or even where I will sit at lunch time because I don't know anybody. Any advice on what I can do to stay positive? Thanks.
