Can I touch stray cats, is it safe?
Hmm, There's this stray cat that comes around my apartment, and I've been feeding him the food my cat doesn't like. I've petted him, but I put some gloves on because he's really dirty. Just make sure that none of them bite you for they could have rabies or some type of disease that could affect you. I wouldn't worry to much, if the cats seem that they don't want to be petted then there's not use in petting them. It's not a big deal if you feed them, well it is if you don't want to continue doing it and buying extra food.
I touched a stray cat and I forgot to wash my hands before eating!?
I was at a cafe and I ordered french fries and burger. A kitty came by and I petted it for a while and played with it. Then I completely forgot to wash my hands and so I went on eating my food with my hands. The kitty was just a stray one, no owner. What's the worst that can happen? I only touched its fur not its mouth or anything. Then I touched my food and mouth with the hand I petted it.

They will take catfood, they will eat pretty much anything when they are hungry. We holidayed in Greece and there are a lot of stray cats out there, we spotted them eating lizards, grasshoppers, even a praying mantis! The locals sometimes take pity on them and we saw them eating bread (our cats would never touch bread!) and threw them crisps expecting them to turn there noses up but they ate them with relish (not the best food for a cat I admit!) I guess because our cats have a pampered life (thank God) we are not used to seeing them eat these things!
Can stray cats eat dog food and it not hurt them?
Just short term till my mom buys some cat food, I feel bad cause theyre really skinny, and theyre very nice cats, but our apl or animal control w/e they are wont take any more animals in cause they are overloaded, but I also dont want them put down or to die so I try and help them

Considering what you touch elsewhere in this world that could be contaminated by human feces and staff infection....the cat is not bad. Loads of people don't wash their hands after using the public bathrooms, they then touch the escalator handrail, use the TYME machine buttons, fill their car up with gas & leave bacteria on the nozzle for the next person to get contaminated with.... it's a wonder we all don't end up at the hospital. You'll be fine. You washed your hands. Tapeworm (those little ones in his butt) can't hurt you unless you eat a live one. You're safe. Fleas are in the grass outside, there from dogs, squirrels and cats who they've jumped off of - they can hitch a ride indoors on your shoes and pants, but they go for animals, not humans usually.
