Could a 3DS game work on a DSi if you cut the extra bit off?

Could a 3DS game work on a DSi if you cut the extra bit off?
While we're at it can a GBC game work in a DS if you cut the extra corner off the bottom?

I know Nintendo is nice and makes it so you can play games from the last generation on the current one, but sometimes they are just mean.

1) for no reason they made it so you can't put gba games in DSi

2) They added and extra little corner on DS and DS lite so GBC games don't fit

3) Extra edge on 3DS games so they don't fit in DS and DSi.

Just wondering if they really aren't formatted for the device or if its just Nintendo trying to make us pay $300 dollars when we can just shave off the useless parts of the gamepack.

Pokémon FireRed - Save error!?!?

I'm sorry to say, but you can't. It happened to me, too.

On VBA, go to options, emulator, then the save type. Chances are it's set to FLASH 64K. Unfortunately, this save type makes corrupted save states for Pokemon games. If you started the new game this way, unfortunately you will have to start over.

Set it to FLASH 128K on a new game. This save type will save the full save state as opposed to the corrupted style. Pokemon game save states require 128K save states.

How many save slots does Pokemon Fire Red have?

there is only one like every single other pokemon game if you were to start a new game and then save it your older game will be erased

GBA roms on iTouch DS ?

no gba games are runnable on a slot 1 flash cart(nds slot), since they lack the required hardware to play the gba game itself. if you want to play gba games as well as nds games you will need to buy a slot 2 flashcart as well like the ezflash 3in1. it has rumble, RAM or browsing the net and gba support.
this will allow you to play gba games without any other software like emulators.

My pokemon sapphire game won't save?

I just bought pokemon sapphire gameboy game off play.com.
They didn't have any in stock so I had to buy a secondhand game.
I wasn't too sure about a second hand game but it said someone else had bought it but it said condition: new.
So, I bought it.
The only problem is whenever I save the game it says
SAVING PLEASE DO NOT TURN OFF THE POWER.
And then it just goes into this error message saying:
Save failed.
Checking backup memory...
Please wait.
"Time required 1 minute"
Then I waited and it said:

The backup memory is damaged or the internal battery has run dry.
The game can be played.
However, program cannot be saved.
" Gameplay cannot be continued. Returning to title screen.."

I was very disappointed because the game could be played, just not saved.
I had originally tried out the game on my DS, I had put it in the slot at the bottom for gameboy games and it didn't work.
So then I used a different DS, same thing.
Then I tried a gameboy and it didn't work again.
Its weird because the game works fine, just it can't save.
Then once it returns to the title screen, you know, the start and you go onto your file it just says " new game" where the file should be and says: The file has been deleted...
The game can be played.

Please help because I really want to play the game!

How do I convert WPA to WEP so that I can use the Internet on my Nintendo DS Lite?

You can’t, and you shouldn’t.WEP was deprecated by the industry many years ago, because breaking its encryption can be done by almost anyone within range within a matter of minutes. Even if your router allows you to configure your wifi network to use WEP, it would be a really bad idea to do so.But what you can do is set up either multiple routers in a safe manner that keeps the weak security of the WEP wifi network partitioned from your ‘secure’ WPA/WPA2 wifi network, or configure a slightly more advanced router, like the Ubiquity EdgeRouter X, to provide the same isolation. The short story is that the Nintendo DS Lite was a poor design to not be capable of WPA, when WPA was already well established and WEP known to have significant weaknesses, even in 2006 at the DS Lite’s launch.
