I Can Eat Anything But Nothing Fills Me Up

Lately, I have always been hungry. Like nothing fills me up. I am 14. Is this normal, or what should i do?

Sounds like every teen. Are you getting fat? Do you get enough exercise? If your answers are "No" and "Yes", then I wouldn't worry about it. Teens go through an incredible amount of food.

Nothing i eat fills me up?

ok nice answers but an example of what i mean would be this morning

at 9 i started with two small pieces of seeded bread. one bread and butter and one toast. also a cup of tea (2 sugars).
i then had this again with a clementine and kiwi fruit.
i made another cup of tea (sugars) with the rest of the bread and then started with white bread and butter.
then ate some celebrations.. 8 of them to be exact
then i had a club bar thing
then i made a crisp sandwich with half a packet of crisps..
then start on taking parts of the cake i baked and put cake frosting on it..
the ripped off some more with more frosting...
finished about 1/4 of the cake
then ate about 1/4 of the tub of frosting..
then cleared that down with a cucumber sandwich with the white bread.
then finished off the crisps.
some more frosting..
soya yoghurt

think that's it and it took 3 hours for me to stop being a pig. it's like this every morning.

Nothing i eat fills me up?

im 15 yearsold, 6'3, and 250 pounds (i was formally 290 but i lost a lot of weight). I noticed that i didnt lost any weight last week, and i think thats mainly due to me not eating much at all. The problem is that when i usually eat carrots or apples or bread for that matter, it never seems to fill me up and always leaves me hungry again. The only things i eat are carrots bread dinner which consists of a varity of foods, and granola bars. I also eat icecream which is the only thing that seems to fill me up in the mornings.

I can eat anything but nothing fills me up..?

So lately, I've been eating constantly but nothing actually stops me feeling hungry. I haven't put on much weight, a couple pounds in the last couple months yet I've been eating breakfast, lunch and dinner and then having sandwiches and chocolate and such in between but still feeling hungry. I'm not fat, not remotely. I am average. 5ft 5in, approx, and I weigh just under 10st.

What's up with me at the moment? I've been having problems with family and things so could that be it?

I’m hungry but I don't want to eat anything. Am I sick?

Hi, there are a few more things I need to know to understand what is the issue here, but I will still try to answer. It feels that lately, the surrounding around you have changed… the change was slow but now you are free to observe it -that everybody keeps so busy in themselves and you are also tied up to a metropolitan routine of work, travel, traffic jams, pollution, crowd, pending tasks, flexible sleep routines and so on.Now from past some time you really want to get some “pampering”, but situation is not so…Your body is reacting fine by demanding food when hungry, but your mind is not reacting fine; instead it tells you to be a bit lazy, distract self in online surfing but not in fixing up a sandwich or other healthier options for food… you might just want to bite a chocolate or potato chips but having proper food isn’t appealing you… it will appeal you if someone gets it for you and asks you to eat it with them… a human connection for pampering…So if you are living in Hostel then go home for a few days; if at home then demand someone to take a leave for 2 days and go out with you. If everybody else is busy, then you take a break, but do not lie on bed and sleep the whole day, instead plan something that you used to enjoy and spend the time there… go out and explore nearby chai-spots, dhaba, and restaurant…paint, dance, go for a walk… befriend a dog on the road, watch the squirrel steal your peanuts from the park’s bench.Do not ignore it: emotional first aid is as importantIf still you feel - unable to try anything, hobbies don’t interest you anymore, then seek help.Best.

What would happen if I didn't eat anything for two days?

If you didn’t eat anything for 48 hours….You’d lose 20 pounds, convert your body into a fat-burning furnace, increase your HGH by 500%, regrow hair, increase your metabolism and discover a new diet phenomena that will sweep the nation and put you on talk shows right before you write a book and launch your own diet program. If you’re a guy, your pecker will increase in size and if you’re a chick, your breast will get bigger! Trump will resign and peace and harmony will prevail….BUT we’ll still have the metric system and the English will continue to drive on the wrong side of the road : )Okay, in reality…..you’ll burn some fat, feel a bit light-headed/weak and not much more then that. Fasting hype will suggest all sorts of miraculous things but, uh…not really. Our bodies are far more resilient and formidable then we imagine. For real: it’s only modern society that asserts that we should eat 3 meals per day and that we NEED perpetual incoming food to sustain ourselves. Let me hit you with this truth/reality: you know how our cell phones have a battery level that can go up to 100% and most people will throw their phone on the charger when they start seeing 50–60%….let me tell you what we do with our bodies: we keep our bodies at 97%-100% range!! We perpetually eat and God forbid we skip a meal or (gasp) a day!In terms of this question, no need to withhold water but you can skip eating for weeks or even months, it’s been done. Some 400+ pound obese guy went over a full year (under medical supervision) and with just some supplements got down to 185 before they brought him back on the food bag.And the closer: be realistic and avoid extremes, if you’re looking to lose weight just bring it in at 1,200 calories per day to be fairly aggressive. Up to 50% of weight loss while under caloric restriction is not fat but instead lean body mass….you don’t want to look like an emaciated wimp so don’t starve yourself. You should feel very enlightened right now, you’re welcome! : )

What can I eat to fill me up!?

Peanut butter!
a study was done and showed that it was a great snack b/c (smaller amounts - compared to other foods) fill you up and give you energy (protien)

well if your goal is to loose weight, watch your calories and peanut butter's gread for a snack.

also try and distract yourself from food. go out or do something you'll get really into.
also remember what you can do is eat like 6 or 5 little meals a day. this will increase your metabolism.

Do you ever get so hungry that NOTHING fills you up?

Definatly if you're on your period at the moment, it's probably always to blaim. We all get those food cravings especially for the sweet/ fatty food's.
- Probably why you had those burgers/ chips/ chocolates.

Eat when you're body tell's you too.
And NO do not listen to people about tapeworm, theres much more side- effects towards one whom has that. Don't let people on "yahoo answers" give you a diagnosious, there just average peoples, not experianced doctors.

Try and maybe eat more healthy, maybe healthy alternatives? Aim for fiber and protein and waters to help fill you up, and especially stay away from salt/ sodium since you're on you're period- "water retention".

Try:
Baked chips/ lightly salted pretzels/ vegetable chips/ low sodium chips/ pita chips
Wholewheat pita wedges & hummus spread
Wholegrain crackers/ flatbread with hummus/ peanut butter/ canned white tuna/ cheese
Crunchy vegetables & hummus or natural smooth- crunchy nut butter
Wholegrain cereals (chocolate flavours- Chocolate Cherrios, Special K Chocolaty Delight, etc ..)
Nutella spread
Natural smooth- crunchy nut butters
Wholegrain- fiber chocolate flavoured- peanut butter granola bars
Granola/ muesili and lowfat greek yoghurt
Greek yoghurt
Digestive- bran cookies/ graham crackers
Dark 70% caoca
Chocolate covered; pretzels/ raisins/ fresh fruits/ etc ..
1% Chocolate milk *
Portioned snack packages (ie: Thinsations)
Lowfat frozen yoghurt
Fudgesicles
Fruit cups/ canned fruit in light syrup, added light whip/ custard
Sugar free jello/ pudding
Dried fruits
Fresh fruits with splenda
Wholewheat waffles and hot fruit (canned fruit/ sliced fruit mixed with 2tsp margerine and tbsp brown sugar or cinnamain heated in microwavable bowl, added ontop of yoghurts/ waffles/ icecreams/ etc ..)

Hope i'v helped, goodluck!

What can I eat to fill me up and be healthy? I go to the gym but still snack on rubbish. I want a healthy alternative to crisps and chocolate.

I’m in the middle of trying to transition to a whole food plant-based diet myself, and I have always been one to snack on unhealthy things because they were convenient. So I try to make my healthy snacks convenient. I try to keep sliced orange and yellow peppers, and snap peas, etc handy in a bag in the fridge so that I have a go-to. If I’m going to be away from home, I put them in an insulated bag with a blue ice thingy, along with some nuts and seeds. I also like dried wasabi peas. The diet I’m on calls for 3 servings of beans, so the peas count toward that. I still cheat because I have stupid things in my cupboards! But I’m getting better! If you find you’re TRULY hungry, and not just hankering for a snack, maybe you’re not getting enough calories through your meals. Make sure to eat plenty of whole grains, as they’ll fill you up. Make ahead, and keep brown rice and quinoa handy in your fridge so you an make a filling meal by adding legumes and veggies anytime.
