I Cannot Open Attachments And Have Changed Browser But No Browsers Working Well Anyway

Are my WhatsApp web conversations stored on my computer?

No and unfortunately Yes.Why No? Just because the Politic of WhatsApp ! They store never messages ! Just the actual Phone where you are connected. It is why when you change phone, the account in the previous phone where you have been connected is disconnected. All messages (sent and received) are saved only on your phone in intetrnal database and with your agreement in your Google Drive(If you use Android) or iCloud (If you use iPhone). It is why they need your phone to be connected to use WhatsApp Web or PC. Look there an example on Android DevicesAs you can see there is many databases depend on the date! Messages, Medias(Images, Audio, Videos) are Stored in specific folders. But your drives (GDrive and iCloud) are used only to restore them perhaps when you change phone. Why Yes ! Just because it is Web App and it use a Web Browser and Web Browsers store all. Links, Responses(then your Messages), Medias (but Not for long) and have many systems to store informations as Smartphone like Cache or WebStorage. Unfortunately all those informations can be access by a Hacker but WhatsApp informations are crypted so they need necessarely your phone to decrypt. Even WhatsApp don't store your Key. But if you want security delete all informations that your Browsers store concerning WhatsApp (Cache, Cookies, Sessions, Medias)The only things that WhatsApp store is your Profile(Number, Photo, Status or now Actuality ans some Settings like blocked Contact)

How do I open an HTML file as a web page on Chromebook?

EASY!You need to save the file locally to your chromebook. The chromebook does NOT need to be in developer mode.I run my Pixel 2015 Chromebook ‘out-of-the-box’ and can develop web pages just fine.download an HTML editor e.g. Caret.(I like Caret because it runs off line, better for working on underground trains and in areas where mobile data is poor.)I have an SD Card slot on my Chromebook, which I use to save this kind of thing to. (again so that I am not reliant on using google drive if I have no way to connect to it)Save the file to your Chromebook. I know it sounds obvious but remember to use the .html file extension. e.g. index.htmlRemember where you saved the file e.g. SDcard/html_files/index.htmlOpen files app (icon is currently the blue circle with white folder in it)navigate to file using path you remembered in step 4 (above).Hover over file with mouse pointerPress “ALT” key and then click. (This enables you to perform a right mouse click.)From the little menu that pops up select “Open with…”Then select “View”BINGO BANGO!!!Your file will open in Chrome. If it doesn’t display correctly make sure your CSS was saved in the same folder as your html file. (or in another folder and that the path is correct, so the browser knows where to find it. )N.B. you can not run any server side code this way.As per the title of the question, this answer is only correct for HTML files.

My yahoo attachments will not download (Nov 25, 2013)?

- Try different browser.
- Check email security level and settings of your antivirus.
- If none of above worked and you need your attachments urgently, forward your email to another webmail service.
Anyway I found it much easier to use one of free services on the Internet to send files online however they're small or big.
I always tell my friends to send me files via http://itrnsfr.com
It's very easy, fast and no registration required
I get a direct link by email to download files so no attachments headache

How can one track whether a sent email was read? I’m using gmail.

You can set any email to use the read receipt feature and be notified as soon as the recipient opens your message. This feature works across most email services and clients, even for contacts who do not use Gmail.Compose a message using your Gmail account as you normally would.Click “Request return receipt” under the “To:” text box. A new checkbox option will appear.Place a check in the box next to the “Request read receipt” option and then send your email.Check your Gmail inbox later for a confirmation. It will come in the form of a new email letting you know which contact opened which message and the time your message was read. Also I recommend you to use Gmail integrated NetHunt CRM. This tool offers unlimited folders, records and follow-ups, as well as email tracking, calendar support and mass emailing. The app adapts your inbox with basic CRM functions. Emails are shown with qualifying information, and clicking on the NetHunt icon beside the sender’s name allows you to search for relevant records. NetHunt also allows filtered views of records.NetHunt allows for email marketing campaigns and a customizable sales pipeline. It’s offered at tiered pricing plans; a Small Business plan costs $25 per month for 5 users; various Growing Business tiers increase the price and user cap.

Can I get hacked by clicking on a malicious link? What can I do to protect myself if I clicked on a malicious link?

The answer is simple; yes! Clicking on a link is you telling the computer I accept whatever this is and will go wherever this link takes me. The result is that you could download malware, a virus, or rootkit into your machine that allows it to be taken over by a hacker. It becomes part of a bot or botnet. The result is that your computer and its contents belongs to someone else. They can use it and do to it whatever they want. You may never even know this is happening. Some malware is designed to run 'in the background.' Meaning its doing things silently and secretly.  In some instances you may end up with ransomeware. This is a program that takes your computer over completely and forces you to pay a ransome  to get it back. See CryptoLocker - Ramsomeware Rises to New Dangerous LevelsIf you should click on link you believe or discover has delivered malware on your system you need to do an immediate scan using your up-to-date anti-virus program. Then go to the next step and use a root kit scanner. I use the Malwarebytes Beta Rootkit scanner but you could also use Kaspersky Labs free root kit tool. Keep in mind that malware will sometimes reveal itself. If you are lucky. It may change your homepage, add a toolbar or change your default search engine. That's if you're lucky. Unlucky means your files get encrypted, your system goes crazy and won't work or you start getting angry messages from friends claiming you infected their computers. Viruses and malware can send themselves to all your contacts. Unlucky means your passwords have been recorded using a key-logger and a hacker empties your bank accounts and steal your identity.Never click on any link you are not absolutely certain of. Especially in unsolicited email. If you get an email from a friend with an attachment or link don't click on it. Call them and ask them what is it? Maybe its their system that's infected?
