Cannot send email in outlook with Yahoo pop mail.?
I have yahoo pop mail and outlook. I can receive mail with no problem but sendin gis an issue. I get the following message "Send test e-mail message: Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP)." I have outgoing mail set to SMTP.mail.yahoo.com with password authentication set to on for outgoing messages. HELP - I AM LOSING MY PATIENCE!! Thanks

I sure wish I could help you, but I'm going through the same damn thing with my regular email. I've got cold email address coming up from 10 years ago. I can send an email and get the same notice. Same person emailed me and his message wouldn't go through. However I've received other emails as usual. Just the other day I sent a forward to my brother and he received and emailed me back saying things must be finally going into place. Told him well yes in a way, because I emailed his wife and it came back "can not deliver." I'm totally pissed and will be calling to have a truck sent out to put things back together again. This all started when I needed a new modem...I have wireless, don't know if that makes a difference, but suspect it doesn't. They tell me to trouble shoot, but I don't have a clue about this one. I'm paying good money so they better send the truck out. I'm answering you in the hopes someone else has some info as to what going on. Good luck to you. I love it when they tell you to call teck or ask a friend. I'm going with the truck, and they come because I'll have the last word. Thanks for listening to my rambling.

Please provide more information. :)EDIT: In response to further details: If you were sending an email to Anne Andrews then you are sending the email to ‘anne.andrews@ucla.edu’ and not anne.andrews(at)ucla.edu . Yes? You need to replace the at and the brackets with.EDIT 2: This is most likely a problem with the target if you can send emails normally. I would reccomend contacting another member of the orginisation and ask for an updated emial. :) GL

Look into the 3way DNS mail checkServer name must be a FQDN and have a valid A record in DNs pointed at the serverServers mail banner must contain the same server name as in the a recordPtr reverse record for the IP address of the server must match A record, server hostname and mail bannerOnce all this is set up you should have no more bother sending emails to Hotmail AOL, Gmail or other webmail providers.
Why does yahoo screen disappear and I cannot send email out?
ok, the answer is that, do u got live mail or what if so, u may not got the right java application for it try to switch to normal mode, then u make that and the problem still there, u may got a problem in the internet explorer, try to uninstall it or try firefox or hope that info are usefull, with all my best wishes

If you have windows 8 the answer is yes. What you can do is click on the little broken page icon on the top right of the address bar it will let you use a older compatible version for yahoo mail.
