I Cant Connect To Xbox Live Because My Dns Code Cant Cope With Xbox Live Servers

How to join Xbox live if it says DNS port check failed?

Have you tried port forwarding setup in the 4200 itself? What about IP passthrough/DMZ setup up as well? Is this a router w/ an integrated switch or do you have something else hooked up along w/ the 4200?

DNS failure is usually the result of a firewall issue at the router itself, which would just require tweaking of those settings.

Maybe a better description of your setup might help resolve this problem. Check the network settings info when the 360 is on when you get the failure, what does the info say?

Here's a link that may help>>

May give you a better idea as to how to access the UI of the 4200 and tweak any settings.

Peace!

Why is playing PUBG in Asia Server so tough than others?

Hello Nithin,**STATS ALERT**It is difficult because there is 59.66% of the global population living in Asia. Out of them, nearly 33% people live in India and China combined. India has the average youngest population of 27yrs. Out of them, a large number of people play the hottest game of the town “Player Unknown’s BattleGrounds”(AKA PUBG). Considering the number of people in Asia who play PUBG, the magnitude and chances of getting your worthy opponent are pretty high. FYI, the better level you reach in the game, the equally capable players will be in your match. The “Matchmaking” time is taken by the PUBG server to group all the equally capable players(who are ready to start) and throw them into the match. The capability is decided by the average level and kill ratio of all your team members(except when you paly a solo match, where your own level will be taken into consideration). For example, when there are 2 platinum 1 players and 2 gold 1 players, then your team’s average level will be platinum 3 or platinum 2 and you will likely be in a match will all the teams who’s average is platinum 2. It is contrary to the myth that the match making depends on the level of the team leader. That’s a complete MYTH.I hope this helps.Peace.Thanks,Dinesh Palli.

Is it true that in Germany you can get fined for illegal downloading? How do they detect what you download? Is it only P2P and file sharing, or every kind of data?

Yes it is true. I and several of my non-German colleagues have been fined. Each movie downloaded through torrent costs them 813 EUR. I didn't pay. I hired a lawyer to troll the company who sent me the warning. First my lawyer asked if they could forgive me just this time. They said no. Then my lawyer asked can i pay less. They offered another, lesser, fine. My lawyer offered something else. They refused. My lawyer wrote a letter to plead. They offered something else, etc. Anyway I told my lawyer to never agree to anything and just keep the bargaining up. It's been 2 years now and he hasn't heard from them since the last letter. I guess they gave up. They basically need to prove that you downloaded the movie and not someone else who got your wifi's password, which is a tall order. They send these fines around and hope the people being fined would be scared and pay right away. One colleague of mine got the letter and ignored it and they haven't contacted him since. After we got the letter we all started using VPN though.

Why does Netflix use TCP and not UDP for its streaming video?

On-demand video streaming meets with TCP in their nature. First, video streaming adopts pre-fetching and buffering to achieve smooth play-out. TCP provides such (network) buffer, as well as the reliable transmission guarantee for no loss of frame - though a frame could still miss the playout deadline and gets discarded, however.Second, TCP's bandwidth probing and congestion control will attempt to use all of the available bandwidth between the server and client, fetching content as quickly as possible while being friendly to other (TCP) traffic on the same links. On the other hand, live video streaming opts in UDP, because little pre-fetching can be done in live streaming and the more the buffering the greater the video play-out delay. Since UDP serves only the most basic transport layer functionality, it will be used jointly with other application-layer, video-specific protocols such as RTSP to perform video streaming. Firewalls (from enterprises, ISPs) dislike these protocols (unlike TCP, these protocols can relentlessly consume valuable bandwidth; See: TCP congestion control), making the carried video traffic difficult to traverse through or being throttled. In order to deliver videos, platforms adopt/rent Content Delivery Networks (CDN). Most of the CDN servers (e.g. Akamai's) were originally and already configured to support web services as their primary course. Thus, streaming video over HTTP works out of the box without setting up dedicated servers, and most of the firewalls won't block HTTP traffic. In fact, Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP (DASH) has become a common practice. Although in theory HTTP can be encapsulated in other protocols, these protocols still need to provide reliable transfer (as what normal HTTP presumes; See: Hypertext Transfer Protocol), which again precludes UDP. Notably, Netflix builds their own CDN.

How can I find my primary DNS address?

DNS:Domain Name Servers (DNS) are the Internet's equivalent of a phone book. They maintain a directory of domain names and translate them to Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. My primary DNS address:Type "ipconfig /all" at the command prompt, then press the "Enter" key. 3. Look for the field labeled "DNS Servers." The first address is the primary DNS server, and the next address is the secondary DNS server.
