ATLANTIS- The first paradise on Earth!While its almost certain that it was a fictional land, there are several who still believe that it existed. Anyway i'll nominate this as my favorite fictional land!The story of the lost island of Atlantis is recorded by Plato over two thousand years ago. This what Plato has to say:When the Greek gods divided the earth among themselves, Poseidon, the god of the ocean and waters received the island called Atlantis and settled it with his children from a human woman. The first son of Poseidon was Atlas who was the first king on the island and after whom the island came to be called Atlantis and the ocean surrounding it Atlantic. The Island of Atlantis on an old map The island of Atlantis was a little paradise, the soil was fertile, there was a rich supply of water and food, including all kinds of luxurious fruits and desserts. The people, bearing the blessing of their divine protector, built wonderful temples and palaces, cultivated the earth and raised livestock. The port of Atlantis was always densely crowded with vessels and merchants from all over the world, whose voices could be heard day and night.Why?Because of all that I have heard about it. Because of what it stands for. It was the first true paradise on Earth. The king was the son of a God for crying out loud!It is said that the worlds strongest, most intellectually gifted men inhabited these isles. It was a supercivilisation where all the best artists, intellectuals resided and with the strongest militia which kept it safe! They had the 'pure spirit of Poseidon'. Which i take as an idealistic condition of no hatred, greed, etc. Can you imagine the living in such a society of love where there is free and fair competition for mutual growth?But soon enough the human nature crept into the Atlantians. They began loosing their pure spirit and engaged in pursuing wealth and power. This invoked the wrath of Zeus, the king of all Greek gods who decided to punish the unrighteous people of Atlantis. Atlantis suffered catastrophic earthquakes and floods until it disappeared beneath the sea. All of the brave men were swallowed up in one day and night of horror according to legend.I find the tragic end very appealing and thought-stimulating too. The loss of such an integral civilisation. There was so much knowledge and innovations to be gained if it wasn't for their greed and selfishness. (Echoes and leaves behind a message doesn't it?)

The visuals were minimal and apt. Only thing I didn’t like was the absence of any background music.Sky Dancer - A modern take on the classic Subway Surfer type endless running games. The visuals and music made this game a delight to play. Oh and you don’t just have to run.Mirror Moves - Sort of like a brain training exercise but nonetheless a good game. Controls can be a little issue still recommended.Stack - One of my favourites. If you like those no-Internet games, this is a must have. Very clean in design and elegant.Lonewolf - Ah! How can I forget this one? One of the best stories I’ve come across. Love shooting games, play this one!!Light House - Increasing difficulty in the puzzles is what makes this game unique. Also the interface is very clean and nicely drawn graphics makes the game attractive to the eyes.Alto’s Adventure - I included this game just to admire the background music and the stunning visuals. Game play can get a bit monotonous in the later stages but surely worth a shot.Mekorama - One of the very early puzzle games that I played and loved for the design. Music, visuals and the puzzles - the developer got almost everything correct with this one. You will fall in love with this game.Hope you will find the list satisfactory.
