Why can't I receive any new emails on Yahoo?

Yahoo is still having some problems at the moment. Suggested cures range from Update Adobe Flash Player and Java script to clear IE7 cache, cookies, and browsing history. Different things seem to work for different people. It's causing attachments to not show, 999 errors where it won't let you do a particular action and some people cannot send receive delete or move mail. It's not just Vista either it's happening to some of us on XP. I can't receive any e-mail?

Have not been able to receive any email since 5/21. The quick fix automatic response they sent was not accurate and did not work. The phone nos. from these comments said they are yahoo help but wanted to get into your computer and charge you money. Spent a lot of time and found no help. Yahoo, I need someone to help, seems like it is Forwarding or Reply-to issues but I cannot change the settings. Someone somehow changed the settings.Help please!!!

I can't receive Email?

I would try using Yahoo Mail Classic for the time being. There are alot of people having all kinds of various problems. Yahoo is in the process of making lots of changes and 'upgrades.' It may be several weeks until they get all of the bugs worked out.

However, Yahoo has recently made it more difficult to return to Classic - they have killed off some of the old links and removed the 'Switch to Yahoo mail classic' button from the new version.

Here's how to go back to CLASSIC:

This is a brand-new link that should work for quite a while...

(copy and paste it to your Desktop, or anywhere else, if you prefer)

Evidently, they are still making updates to Classic Mail (Messenger is now gone, for example), and eventually the older links stop working. (Older links found on the web have a different number after the .mc)

Before you can use the new link, you will probably need to temporarily change your Internet Options settings:

Go to Control Panel > click Network and Internet > click Internet Options > click Security tab > click Custom Level box (near bottom) - a new dialog box will open > scroll down the list of options to Scripting (near the bottom) > right under Scripting is Active Scripting, click Disable > click OK > click Yes in the 'Are you sure' pop-up box > (pop-up and dialog box will close) > do not click OK or Cancel or close the Internet Properties box yet...

Next, go to your Desktop (or wherever you saved your link) and click your new shortcut to http://us.mc1634.mail.yahoo.com/mc/launc...

Then, change the settings back (you need to have scripting enabled for Yahoo Mail Classic and many other websites to fully function):
Go back to the Internet Properties box (on your Taskbar) and click the Custom Level box > scroll down to Scripting > click Enable under Active Scripting > click OK > click Yes in the 'Are you sure' pop-up box > now click OK to close the Internet Properties box.

PLEASE NOTE that you will only have to change your settings ONCE - the link will work fine after you do this once!

Why can't I receive any email to my extra email address?

I've made an extra email address in my old email address. I can send email from my extra email address but I can't receive any email to my extra email address. When I tried to send an email to my extra email address from my other email, I get an email that said there is an error because the user doesn't have the account.

The fact that I cannot receive emails on a regular basis from Yahoo is troubling and the on-line assistance has been zero help. Our entire company is transferring over to Google because of the continued difficulties and lack of customer support. We suggest you do the same.

When users cannnot send or receivem then that error 0x8004010F. In this error users face two types of situation one is “Sending reported error (0x8004010F): ‘Outlook data file cannot be accessed.’” and the other is“0x8004010F: The operation failed. How come I can't receive any mails to my e-mail address?

Details:
I went to a site I registered to, and for some reason (even though I have automatic fill in activated and the username and password are inputed correctly) the site didn't accept my signing in. Instead they asked me for an e-mail address associated with my account to send me a link to verify it is actually me accessing my account. I provided the e-mail address and the site accepted it saying they sent me a link. But, no mail came to my inbox or spam folder or anywhere. And I checked that the site isn't blocked and it isn't.
Then I tried to send myself an e-mail from a different account and the mail didn't arrive.

Why is that?

I have not experienced this problem, and I’m not sure what the reason behind it is, but here’s a procedure you can try:Check all the folders alongside ‘Inbox’. Your new mail may have gone into Spam or Archive or Trash, check them, and you might find if the new email goes there.If so, then go to ‘Settings’ -> Filters and Settings -> Forwarding and see if there are any filters enabled. Try removing the unnecessary filters and try sending yourself an email from another account. If the sent email reaches your Inbox, then good.If this didn’t help, try other answers, or post your problem on the Gmail Forums, (click here to get there: Google Groups) That is a better platform to ask your Gmail questions, as you will get solutions from the experts. Explain the problem properly and you’ll get a reply soon. Login to your Google Groups with your Gmail account, and create a new topic.
