I Cant Think Up A Name For The Story I

Unique girl name for my story?

Your name doesn't have to be tom-boyish (parents wouldn't have known how their child would turn out) so just give her a normal name, which she could shorten. You could even give her a nickname relating to her appearance e.g Dimples, Shorty

My boyfriends name is mark and i cant think uv a nickname can u help me?

i have never called my boyfriend's real name and i called him something else even when we first met. i don't think you should THINK of a nickname outta the blues... it should have a meaningful story behind the nickname. like... my boyfriend calls me little piggy cause i eat alot when we're together and im small to him and stuff and princess cause im spoiled... and hippie cause he put a flower in my hair and that's when we first started liking each other... see... you shouldn't juss make one up. it should have a meaningful story behind everything. you should juss call him something original for now until that time comes.. like babe, sweetie, sweetheart, pookie, baby, my love, hun, etc.! hope something special and unique comes up soon! =]

What can I do if I can't think of a startup name?

First of all, no entrepreneur has ever, nor will ever "know", in the literal sense of the word, the perfect name for their startup. The idea that you're somehow ill fit to start your own business because you haven't yet come up with the right (or more ridiculously the "perfect") name for that business is absurd.I've started a number of businesses and some of the names we went with were good from go, some of them lame, and a couple of them were actually toxic.  By "toxic" I mean only slightly, but it's true that over time the name of a company absolutely mentors, usually in some imperceptibly small way, the relative likelihood for success or failure of that business.  Here are some of my company's names:Century Direct MarketingConsumer Information ServicesBargain NetworkBargain.comPublic Information ServicesNew Concept CommunicationsinQ.comMerchant NationalFotofixThe above is isn't a complete list, in fact, four of the names above actually belonged to a single company which, over the course of 10 years, had to find its way from being a scrappy, successful $35k upstart, through a confused and punishing adolescence, and ultimately to exactly the right name to describe our company and help us command a $64.5mm cash sale.Remember that no name is cast in stone (okay, I suppose it's true that some signage literally is cast in stone, but you get my meaning). Which is to say that unlike naming one of your kids "Adolph" or something, the consequences of naming a business wrong are slight by comparison, and fixable. To help give you push, here are two very useful resources in developing a good name for your business (and maybe even a great one) to start:http://www.thenameinspector.com/...How did Adam D'Angelo and Charlie Cheever come up with the name Quora?

I'm currently writing a book, but I can't seem to think up a good name for it. Can you give me some advice on making a good title for my novel?

Naming your book: My two writing partners and I brainstorm after we have finished our own and each others’ ms. Great to get another perspective. Often it’s a phrase in the book that struck a READER that is perfect. One great writing teacher, Mary Carroll Moore says to look for themes, dominant images, something from the inner story or a metaphor.I’l give a couple of examples from my own books: Over My Head started out as In the Wake of Darwin. I had 15 other ideas, too, and at an open forum at a writer’s conference, an editor asked me: “How did you feel when you first arrived in Tierra del Fuego?” I said, “Oh, I was in way, way over my head.” Bingo. My second book, the title The Cusp of Dreadfulness came from a comment I heard on the radio coming from the Scottish parliament during a debate over whether to participate in the 2nd Gulf War. The parliamentarian said that getting into that conflict would place soldiers in the very cusp of dreadfulness.” Verrry Cooosp of Drrrrreadfulness. I loved the phrase and wrote it down. Although this second memoir also takes place in Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego, the cuspate shape of the tip of South America, and some of the dangers I experienced, including a lengthy interrogation and a near rape, seemed to fit the phrase nicely. The third book: Smart Ass is a memoir about misadventures with my donkey Caleb. My (conservative) agent balked at it for months. “Too smutty.” The exec editor at the publishers loved it, but his board balked at the “epithet” smartass. Somehow by making smartass into two words and placing them on separate lines in different colors on the cover made Smart Ass acceptable. Caleb’s picture on the cover and a subtitle made it clear that Caleb is one smart donkey, as well as a wiseguy and the changes settled their qualms.Just remember that titles are not copyright-able, so consider a subtitle. If you’ve noticed that titles and subtitles keep getting longer and longer, it’s to create a more unique title as well as to accommodate keyword searches.Have fun with the process!

I'm writing a short story about a miscarriage and can't think of a title, help?

I'm writing this little story about a miscarriage and can't think of a name. I'll tell you a little bit about it to give you an idea of what exactly it's about: It begins with a pregnant woman in bed, telling her husband that something is wrong. Then, throughout the story, it talks about the good times throughout her pregnancy; picking out a baby name, buying all his little accessories, decorating his nursery, and the baby shower, and then it goes back to where the story started, something felt wrong. They go to the hospital, thinking that their baby is on his way, it's a boy if that helps, only to receive tragic news, their baby has passed away. And that's where it ends. It's really hard to find the right name for it. I don't want it to be like those happy names ex. "Oh Boy!" or something cheerful like that. I'd like it to have more of a meaning to the story. Thank you.

I'm very bad at writing stories and making up names for my characters. Is there any website or tips to help me with my problems?

I myself have received this information not too long ago, so I’m not guaranteeing anything.I have a suggestion.Try writing something. Anything. Until you believe it’s the best you can make. Then, show someone you trust who doesn’t sugarcoat what you made. Accept whatever criticism they give, even if it makes you cringe. Since you’re most likely going to present a story to the general public (I highly doubt a writer writes just to stare at his writing and doesn’t show anyone), the opinion of someone from that general public would be useful.Try reading classic literature. Like romantic classics or whatever you fancy. Try looking for books made before 2000. You can learn a thing or two about how you can effectively convey emotions in dialogue or how to develop a character. No guarantees though. When trying to make up a character’s name, you can be like Ace Attorney and be corny with it (Dick Gumshoe => basically Detective Detective, Frank Sahwit => Frank Saw It) or have a deeper meaning behind it. I can’t think of any but I’m sure you can find some with a quick search. Or maybe just use a random name generator. If you have a specific question, PM me. I wouldn’t mind. I’ve written a few decent stories before. Though, I’m still learning myself.

What did you think of the book All the Light we cannot see?

“All the light we cannot see” would leave anyone with an appreciation for intricacies spellbound. This far from conventional book holds a lot of magnificence in its story. The beauty lies in the fact that, how a tale of a blind French girl and an orphan German boy has been thoughtfully woven. Its repleted with a continual heavy imagery and the author's knack for going down to explain the minutest details ,makes it a thoroughly pleasant read. It's just not possible to not savour every chapter ,while going through it. As Publishers Weekly rightly puts it , “Along the way, Doerr convinces readers that war despite its desperation, cruelty and harrowing moral choices-cannot negate the pleasures of the world”. Give it a read, for the prose and the colourful way the author depicts the banality of war-torn lives. The magic of the written words shall linger long after you are done reading it.Leaving with a few paragraphs to marvel at..“We all come into existence as a single cell, smaller than a speck of dust. Much smaller. Divide. Multiply. Add and subtract. Matter changes hands, atoms flow in and out, molecules pivot, proteins stitch together, mitochondria send out their oxidative dictates; we begin as a microscopic electrical swarm. The lungs the brain the heart. Forty weeks later, six trillion cells get crushed in the vise of our mother’s birth canal and we howl. Then the world starts in on us.”“And yet she can tell he is visited by fears so immense, so multiple, that she can almost feel the terror pulsing inside him. As though some beast breathes all the time at the windowpanes of his mind.”Lucid and an amazing piece of writing!

I know its sometimes nice to get different names. Here are some I like. Good luck with your story!!

I can't think of a novel about a cat, even a kid's novel. Have you ever read a novel about a cat? And if you can, would you add a photo?

You can start with Rhubarb, by H. Allen Smith. Eccentric millionaire leaves all his money to a feral alleycat, and some poor schlub who has to take care of the cat. Oh, Rhubarb also inherits a major league baseball team. Hilarity ensues, of a not very PC variety. Rhubarb is a tomcat, with a tomcat’s instincts. This is his tragic flaw and the source of his downfall. But don’t worry. If you enjoy the book, there’s a sequel - Son of Rhubarb. Then there are the crime solving antics of siamese cats Koko and Yum Yum, helped by their human servant, journalist Jim Qwilleran and his moustache. Lillian Jackson Braun’s novels are unusual in that they not only star cats as detectives, but take place in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and environs, not the most common setting for mysteries. There are other novels in which cats feature prominently, like Tanya Huff’s Keeper Chronicles. Claire’s cat Austin is getting on in years, but he still has plenty of cynical wisdom to burden his owner with and an insatiable appetite for treats. Unfortunately, he is limited to a special diet for senior kitties, even while helping fight off brightly colored imps from Hell. When Claire’s little sister gets in trouble using magic to decorate her high school prom, we get a hint about where cats actually come from, or where their owners like to think they do. Hint: How do you hide an angel?H. Allen Smith - WikipediaLilian Jackson Braun - Book Series In Orderkeeper chronicles - Google Search
