Should an Indian girl go and study abroad at the age of 26 when the pressure of marriage is around?

Thanks for the A2A :) More details would be good Anyways, i assume you are speaking about arranged marriages and yea the pool choices will get small. Look, it's your life, you don't have to marry until you feel the need to. The right person is always going to come along :) just follow your intuition, if you really wanna pursue that course, go ahead. If you won't, who will? But keep these points in mind, If you are comfortable and sure about studying after marriage, then you may give a try to that.Idk how long your study course is, but if it's just an year o one and a half, you may as well get engaged so that in the mean time, you can get to know him better. Getting engaged will reduce the society pressure I guess. If you really really feel like if I don't study this, I would regret? Then please go for it. Have no regrets in life :) Hope this helps, you can PM me if you want :)

Which is best age to go abroad for study?

hi.. for abroad education age is not barrier at all. the only thing is if you are below 18 years of age you must have to submit the guardian form else if you complete 18 years of age you are independent. Even though the best age for go abroad for education is above 17 years.Because you are travelling to another country, you will have to face different situation, different culture, different people. so first you must have the capacity to handle every thing yourself even though you have a support and guidance. Then only you can able to achieve in your studies. i’m not saying that you cant able to manage if you are below 17 years of age. If you complete 17 or 18 you will get a confidence and idea about how to do and all. So consider this and do well. All the best buddy.

Is it worth the cost to study abroad in South Korea?

I am currently a 15 year old almost done with my sophomore year in high school. I really want to be a foreign exchange student my senior year. Specifically in South Korea (hopefully in or close by Seoul).
Being a foreign exchange student would probably give me a higher chance of college acceptance than trying my best in public school in the States.
I've looked into many international schools in Korea, but they are very expensive and my family does not have the financial resources. I know that Rotary Youth Exchange is the most wallet friendly, but there is a chance that I will not be sent to the country of my choice (even if I did get South Korea I might be sent to a rural town) and my heart is dead set on Seoul, South Korea.
The foreign exchange program I've found to be the most promising is Youth For Understanding (the tuition being about $12,000). I would probably pay for at least half of it.
Would I be able to take AP classes online in English while attending high school in Korea?
And what should I expect from the high school students? I've heard that they are pretty scary, but what high school in this world doesn't have it's fair share of mean girls?
I can read and understand some Korean, but I am by no means considered fluent.
I would appreciate any input! Especially from people who were foreign exchange students :)

What is the hardest thing about studying abroad?

You drift apart from your parents. When you first arrive, you call them everyday. You’re in a strange land where you are expected to do everything yourself. You miss the comfort of your mother’s voice and the sound of the pressure cooker’s whistles. You miss familiarity. Then, you settle in. You get busy with classes , assignments and internships. You soon realize that everybody is competing and that if you don't run, you're going to be left behind. Your performance is always being judged relative to everyone else’s.The calls reduce. The time difference doesn't help either. It's time to graduate.Getting a job is all you have on your mind. All people talk about around you, are other people’s achievements. About how somewhere somebody they know , has it all figured out.The calls are now a weekly event. You call to tell them you're well and that you’ve eaten. You have no idea what's happening in their world. You have no idea that your sister is worried about her exams, no idea that your mom is aching for you every night. You’ve finally done it. You got a job. You rush to call your parents and tell them. They are happy and proud. But you miss the undertone in their voice that begged for you to return. You choose to miss it.You now call this country home. The country that was unfamiliar and scary two years ago is now the country you yearn to live in. It's now the country whose culture you relate to and whose flaws you accept. But your parents didn't go through this journey with you. They still live where you once did. They dont understand the ways of this world. They find certain aspects unacceptable even. You struggle to find a balance. You struggle to be the person they think you are and the person you want to be.You see them once in many years. Every time you see them, they look a little older, a little meeker.Everytime you speak to them, you're aware of the distance,The distance between who you once were and who you are today.
