I no longer receive notifications for text messages on my iPhone 4. How can I best troubleshoot this?
Thanks for the A2A.If you haven’t done so already, try restarting your iPhone.Also, tap Settings, then tap Notifications and scroll down until you find Messages. Tap it and check your notification settings. Also check to make sure Do Not Disturb is not turned on. (It is really easy to accidentally turn it on in Control Center). You can tell if Do Not Disturb is on if there is a moon at the top of the iPhone screen next to the location, bluetooth, and battery indicators.If none of that works, you could try doing a Factory Restore.That’s about all you can do short of taking it to an Apple Store or buying a new phone. (Hey, it’s an iPhone 4 — maybe its time.)

Sign into messenger at the top of the messenger window click messenger select preferences next select messages. At the top where it says when I receive a new message UNcheck the box that says " show messages from background windows at bottom right of screen" click apply then click OK
If a message sent through Facebook messenger says sent, does the other person get a notification?

It also depends on what platform you are using and how it indicates to you that it is sent.Are you seeing the check-marks on your mobile device? Or the word “sent” on your computer while you are logged into Facebook?As someone else said, the check-mark in a while circle means they have not been notified. This can be because their phone is off, they have notifications off, or they have no signal. Sometimes it shows just for a moment because of normal delay.The check-mark in a blue circle means they might have been notified. The message has, at least, reached their device. If they have notifications turned on, they should know about your message. However, just yesterday, all my notifications stopped for no reason. The sound just wasn’t sounding and the icon wasn’t appearing. When I opened the messenger, my incoming messages were there, though. I restarted my device, and I started getting notifications again.If the person’s picture is next to the message, they have read it.If you are logged into Facebook, and it just says “sent,” it doesn’t tell you whether they have received it or not. This is the same as both the white and blue circled check-marks. If it says “seen,” it’s like the person’s picture. They have viewed the message.

Double check all of your speaker wire connections. If any of the two wires to each speaker touch each other, it will disable the receiver because it's detecting a shorted circuit. A shorted speaker will cause the same issue, so you can try unplugging all of the speaker connections at the back, and turn the receiver on. See if the message appears or not. If it goes away, plug in one speaker wire/speaker at a time to determine the cause. If the message remains, the receiver may have an internal circuit breaker/fuse blown requiring repairs or replacement. If your receiver is two years old, and the cost of repair exceeds two or three hundred dollars, I'd certainly consider a new receiver, being that technology in surround sound have evolved quite a bit in that time. If you're not friends with someone, do they not get your FB message?
This depends on their settings.Usually anyone can send you messages; unfortunately, they may end up in this one folder no one ever checks called "Message Requests". They won't get notifications for this folder and unless they check their message through Message icon top right -> see all -> Message Request. They won't see messages. On the other hand, you have the option to block messages from people you're not friends of friends with (I'm not sure if this still works).Also, there is the option to block messages from certain people (you have to be friends though)But as I said, in most cases it's this folder. The only way around that isa) send a friend requestb) ask a mutual friend to tell the person to check that folder
Why do I get a message on Facebook messenger saying "this person isn't receiving messages from you right now"?
Due to one of the following reasons:Check the profile of that person from another profile for the message privacy as the person is less than 18 years of age, he/she will not receive your message request until you both were friends or he/she is 18+ in age.Also possibly due to the deactivation of that person profile.And also due to the restriction from Facebook cause of sending anything that violates the Facebook community terms or sending too much messages. How do I get rid of WhatsApp showing checking for messages in a notification bar?
Hi, if I got it right, you just want to hide the sensitive content while checking notifications on your phone’s locked screen.Well if you are an ios user then this option is available in whats app only, just go to the notification settings within the app and turn off “show preview” option. And if you are an android user, go to settings>security> notifications and choose how & which type of content to be shown while your phone is locked. You can choose “hide sensitive content”.And If you are a windows phone user, I am sorry, have no idea in that case.Hope, it will help.. thanks..!!
Yahoo massengaer - not geting the mail alerts at my home as well as work place.?
Just wanted to let you know that you are not alone with this ongoing problem. Sometimes it will say i have emails when i really dont. Other times it will say i have none and then when i checked it I had like 14. I really dont know what the problem is with it but maybe its just a small glitch in the beta version and it will get smoothed out before too long. My hopes anyway. Good luck!!
