I just got my hair permed yesterday. How long should I wait to workout?
You shouldn’t let a hairstyle get in the way of your health. You can go exercise the day your hair is permed.To preserve your style as best as possible wear a headband to absorb sweat and keep your hair in place. Pin it up if needed. After you’re done use a blow dryer on cool to keep your head and scalp fresh.
Can I perm my hair and dye it the same day?
I want to dye my hair and get a spiral perm. Going to get it done professionally and was wondering if they will be able to perm my hair and dye it the same day? Would I have to get one done before the other? If I have to wait between the two, how long?
Can i go swimming if i just dyed my hair yesterday?
I used clairol brand to dye my hair and i really like the color. Its like a dark plum brown color.. I dont want my hair to fade or anything but i really wanna go swimming tomorrow. Will the chlorine from the pool make my hair color fade out?

Sure you can . When you have chemically treated hair, always wet hair before jumping in so that the chlorine is not absorbed. When you get out preferably use a Malibu shampoo to remove the chlorine and other chemicals. Do Not blow dry, it will loosen a percentage of your curl. Happy Swimming with no regrets. The only reason you would NOT wet, wash or swim after a perm is if you are a person who has to style their hair with a brush and blowdryer. If you can let it dry natural without the pulling of a brush or tossing of a blow dryer you are okay. The OLD SCHOOL rules are not true anymore. You can leave the salon and jump in.
Can you get your hair dyed after perming it?
Hey there. Yes, you can get hair coloured after perming it. If you colour before perming, the acid in the perming product, will strip the colour out.I wouldn't recommend bleaching, but a mild 10vol developer or a semi/demi colour would be even better because it's depositing on the shaft of hair, not lifting any levels off. I will recommend a trim at this point.
Can I perm my hair if its dyed?
Perm chemicals are one of the worst things you can do to your hair. If you wont mind maybe going bald I'd say you could give it a try. I just hope you don't end up like a girl that asked a question here a couple months ago, all her hair broke off at the scalp. Yes she is now bald & hair grows back very slowly 1/2 inch per month Hope this helps (*.:.*)
I'm allergic to hair dye - can I perm my hair?
Anybody know the answer to this? I react to every hair dye there is (I've tried home hair dyes and salon hair dyes - the salon stuff generated a MUCH worse reaction)... but I'd really like to try a perm. It may seem silly to be concerned but I'm hoping someone out there who is allergic to hair dye has tried a perm and can answer. Haha! I would just speak to my hair stylist but she's the one who tried to tell me there's no way I could react to salon dye so I don't necessarily trust her opinion on this. Thanks!
