I Fell And My Back Still Hurts How Do I Know If I Need To See A Chiropractor Or A Physical

SEVERE BACK PAIN - Chiropractor does not seem to be helping - HELP!?

I have thrown out my back. I have seen a chiropractor this entire last week & it seems to continue getting worse. What should I do? What does this seem to be? Should I go to the hospital? What type of doctor should I go see?

I can position my body so the pain is not so severe (dull). However one slight turn of my torso will cause SEVERE "SHARP" pain. To describe the pain: My teeth bite down on each other and GRIND. That's the severeness of the pain.

Back pain: chiropractor, massage therapist or physical therapist?

I've been having mild to moderate upper-mid back and shoulder pain, on and off, for at least a few years. My neck often aches as well. I'm a 25 year old student who spends a lot of time sitting in front of a computer. I know my posture could be better, but it's difficult to maintain when sitting in front of a laptop. So my question is, do you think I should see a chiropractor, massage therapist, or physical therapist about this? I feel like my muscles are almost always very tight, but I have had a bit of shooting pain in my upper-mid back and some mild tingling down my arms (rarely). I would like to hear from people who visited any of these specialists. Thanks!

Should I go to chiropractor or urgent care?

The human body is a delicate, multi-faceted machine, and when the machine breaks down, it hurts. When your body hurts, it’s time to seek treatment and diagnosis of your symptoms. Options include physical medicine, chiropractic care, and massage therapy. How do you determine what the best course is? If you’re favoring an all-natural approach to treatment and recovery, you might consider a massage or a chiropractic adjustment. Both facilitate healing in regards to your body’s nervous system, but in differing ways. Both methods have a common goal: restored health and wellness.Patient NeedPain affecting hard tissue like the spine and joints, and soft tissue including muscles and ligaments, is bound to happen to everyone at some point in life. Things to consider when deciding your course of treatment include the severity of the pain, patient history, and insurance options.Massage as TherapyMassage therapy targets issues that are muscular in nature. Muscle spasms and overworked areas of tension can benefit from massage as well as pulled or strained muscles. Massage therapy isn’t just a pampering, luxury treatment. It has legitimate medical properties effective in aiding in pain management and recovery.Massages also affect the nervous system through the manipulation of soft tissue. The top layers of muscles benefit directly from applied massage because it encourages the free flow of fluids and energy. Soft tissue treatment helps correct misalignment of the spine.Unlike chiropractors, massage therapists are not licensed to adjust the spine or other joints, nor can they prescribe medication. They can, however, suggest holistic and homeopathic remedies in conjunction with massage therapy. There are many massage techniques used in healing including Swedish, deep-tissue, cranial sacral therapy, and trigger point therapy. Injured Back..Chiroprating?

I fell off my horse today...nasty fall i fell on my back. and i think (and so does my stepdad who gets chiroed alot) that i have thrown something out. all i know for sure is that i am progressively having more pain from just 7 hours or so ago. t i think i need to see a chiropractor. it would be my first time so does it hurt? should i get xrays first? also could it just go away on its own i mean i did land on my back its going to hurt a little just like you fall anywhere else right?

Fell on my butt and now my upper back hurts?

Do you have any tingling or numbness if your butt, arms, legs, hands or feet? Does anything make the pain better or worse? Can you describe the pain? Is it a stabbing, shooting, dull, burning, or aching pain? Does it hurt when you breathe?

The shocking sensation through your hands and fingers is what concerns me.

You might have a ruptured disk in your upper back. When that happens, the disk is slipped out of place and is pressing on your spinal nerve. It can be painful. I think you should see your doctor for an official diagnosis. Slipped disks can be difficult to treat, but they can show you some exercises that can help relieve the pain. If nothing less, you might get some pain meds.

BE VERY VERY CAREFUL if you consider seeing a chiropractor. I would HIGHLY recommend against it. If they mess up they could injure you more. It's not worth the risk. Stick with meds, massage and simple exercise. You can see a physical therapist instead of the chiropractor.

Good luck!

A chiropractor visit maybe a good idea.

Should I visit doctor or chiropractor? Got whiplash when rear-ended. Tense shoulder blades and hurting neck.?

Got into my first fender-bender, was rear-ended. I estimate I was hit at 30-35 mph, while at a stand still. My neck hurts whenever I move it and my should blades are all tensed up.

Not sure if I need to visit a doctor or a chiropractor. Never had these types of aches or pains before.

Any suggestions on how to go about this would be much appreciated. Thanks.
