My father died when I was 8 yrs old.I named my son in Honor of him. My boyfriends mom?

often I consider the 1st poster that that is all thoroughly relative (sorry with reference to the pun!) a million. i assume, in spite of if that is form of of a stretch. 2. confident, nevertheless that is not obtrusive (no longer that it particularly is a bad element) 3. I on no account theory-approximately this--i actually like the belief and picture it particularly is a stunning thank you to honor somebody. 4. confident, this for sure honors them. 5. confident, i think of this works besides. 6. i like this concept besides, nevertheless observing the call of the honoree the youngster could finally end up with a dreadful call (like the pair Hildegard and Bingen :) 7. yet another astounding concept, yet i think of it may bring about some dreadful names besides. 8. Like 7, a resourceful concept that could end very badly for the youngster. 9. confident, it particularly is a astounding concept, nevertheless i do no longer think of there are that many names with such institutions that correspond to the full selection of events that folk could like. 10. it particularly is a astounding concept, yet there's no way that i could permit some members of my relatives call my baby, no rely how plenty i like them and elect to honor them. (case in point, my siblings and that i've got been all named after Narnia characters, so my mom could on no account get the possibility to call a grandchild, and my better half's mom's sought after names are Kyleigh and Jayden, so back, no way! If we've yet another baby and elect to honor a buddy, my husband and that i visit maintain finished naming rights! :) BQ a million: I commemorated the two one in each of my husband's late uncles who died whilst they have been young babies in a automobile crash. I gave my son 2 center names by using fact i did no longer elect to honor one over the different and that i did no longer elect to apply the two as a ordinary call. (His call is William Frederick Robert.) If I unquestionably have yet another son i will call him Samuel Vanderford, as Vanderford is a basic male center call in our relatives. BQ 2: You seem to have achieved an extremely thorough activity! the suited that i'm able to arise with is that if the honoree replaced into of a particular history (Irish, Italian etc.) and you chosen a recognition from that custom.

If my father dies , who is entitled to his estate, his wife only ?

If he does not have a living will, then yes, his wife is entitiled to his estate in it's entirety, but you can contest it.

When my father passed away last year, everything was left to my mother, who I love dearly, but who has managed to sell and spend about everything my father had worked so hard to have.

But I do recall being asked by the family attorney to sign something stating that I would not contest the will.

I signed it because I really had no reason not to, but I would be EXTREMELY careful when signing anything after your father passes. You may be signing off any rights you may have to any part of his estate.

Death's in a family change the family forever. Sometimes it brings them closer, sometimes it tears them apart. My family fell apart for a long time after daddy died and we are just now starting to come back to speaking terms with one another.

I pray for strength for you and your family through this very tough time. I pray if there are things that belong to your father that have a special place in your heart that your step-mom will understand that she is his wife, but he is the only real daddy you will ever have in this world and will give you those things. If not, remember, they are just things and the most important things you will every get from your dad has nothing to do with posessions. Your laugh, some of the things you do and say, the way you interpret things..... I see those things in me that are just like my dad. No one can ever take those special things from me and my dad.

God Bless you.

I have a confession to make. Now what I’m about to tell you is embarrassing. My first name is Harry. Stop laughing, it gets worse. My name is Harry Thomas Michael FitzJohn. I’m nearly bald.I confronted my mother why in hell was I ‘blessed’ with these names. She said she always wanted my first name to be Michael but was pressured to name me Harry which is my grandfathers name. Thomas is my biological dads name who was officially out of my life when I was nine years old.I’ve only had to use the name Harry once when I was in the Army. They will only use the first name that’s on your birth certificate. My mother loved the name Michael and that’s good enough for me.My name is Michael and I’m sticking to it but don’t ever say I haven’t shared probably the most embarrassing thing in my life.

How do I find my Biological Father with no info?

I have recently found out that the man who raised me is not my bio father. He has been an excellent dad and spoiled me and raised me as his own. But I want to find my bio father. I dont think I want to talk to him or have a relationship. I just want to know who he is, what he looks like and what kind of person he is. He knows I exsist. We live in a small town and I just want to know if I walk past him in the street.
I have asked my parents who he is but they have not answered my question. We are not a 'talk-about-your-feelings' sort of family and our relationship has been even more strained since I found out. I fully believe that they would have never told me if I hadnt found out by accident.
I have found out a few small bits of info from other family members.
My parents married when I was 18 months. I *assume* this was when the legal adoption started.
I have been told that the court requested that my bio father had to give up all parental responsibilty for me and I was temporarily made a ward of court (not taken into care or anything)
Does this mean that his name is listed somewhere on some sort of legal document...and where would I find it? I can't get a copy of my original birth certificate. I know that i was named as my mothers maiden name. Does this mean he wont be listed on the birth certificate? Or can he be on there and I still have my mothers last name? All I have seen my whole life is a revised birth certificate with my current name on it. I had never seen any other type of certificate before and had to need to question/verify it.
Any help would be appreceated. I dont know where to start. All the websites I have come accross dont seem to have any help or answers.

What to name my brothers daughter?

Konan? Sure, just swear your brother to secrecy. No one must ever know you were behind it. If she finds out you were responsible for Konan, she will kill you very slowly indeed.

A female named after "Conan" the barbarian is not going to help her chances in life.

My daughter hates her name. This hurts me?

My daughter finds every opportunity she can to tell me how difficult I have made her life by giving her the name I have. She has a lot of animosity to me but, as she has recently separated from her husband, is more than happy to now use me for support and as a babysitter when she decides, after more than 1.5 years, that it is now ok for me to look after her daughter. But I digress.
Do you think it mature and rational for a woman nearing 40 to have such bitterness over the name I chose for her? The name I chose was of great significance and meaning to me. I named her Kia Marie. Kia is pronounced Ky-ah. This is where the troubles lay. She hates having to correct the pronunciation as some call her Kia, as in the car. She complains that she has to spell her name several times over the phone and when she makes appointments. She has a three letter name. Surely telling someone her name is spelled K I A is not that difficult or time consuming? Do you think she is being fair because I find her behavior unreasonable and hurtful.
