Like Jon said, you can change it in Microsoft Internet Explorer by going Tools, Internet Options, Lan settings. Then if you are not behind a proxy, blank the fields. But seeing as it's avg that's giving the problem, go into avg and go settings, look around for an option to set the proxy address and port, blank those (or enter in the correct address if you're using one) and try again. Do you have a set of operating system recovery/install disc made for the lap top ?
