I called this number 1 888 224 8533 and talked to a indian guy who told me to go to this site: http://lmi1.com/ and download a program. Apparently he could now control my laptop. I gave him my email account and he told me that there was a lot of suspicious activity on the account and that someone had hacked into it. I still know the password to my account (and its still the same and not changed) but i dont remember the answer to the secret question.. He told me what it would cost for me to get them to reset password and so on.. Is this a scam? Btw, before i talked to this guy i was told that "this conversation will be recorded" just like a normal costumer service call.. I still can't login to my account, please help!

Thank you for asking :)See first thing you can access your security question through the setting option of your account & you can recover your answer for security from there. now i want to tell you something that security question verification's are less secure as compare to the 2 step verification process of google.Google found that security questions were not really secure at all as most of the answers can be found with a simple Google search. For example Sarah Palin had her Yahoo! account hacked because someone simply Googled her birthday, ZIP code and where she met her spouse.Google has completely removed support for security questions and one only had the ability to remove already existing ones. There is no way to add your security question back in(I think ).Perhaps you should consider enabling 2 - step verification, enabling this feature will make Google send a single-use code to your phone which you will have to enter as a second password. In this way even if someone manages to acquire your password, they will also need your phone to access your Google account.But still if you are getting such verification process than you can associate your question’s answer by associating it with an event or special date or person or anything which is special in your life.
