I Forgot Something And Cant Get It Back

Why can I remember that I forgot something but can't remember what I forgot?

Brains are funny things. There are books about how to remember things, none that I have heard of that will tell you what you forgot!Joking aside. Are brains are like road maps, they like to go down the same routes, to make a new route like the dept of transportation it takes time and energy to make a new route to a new place (the thing you forgot) the route which is probably marked things to remember (like interstate 95) to many places, large and small.Learn to do small things to remember, make a list, use symbols, email or call yourself to remind you. One of the current ideas is as we get older, we have more things (routes) to do, remember etc, that it get cluttered and it takes a while to get to the place you want to go.

If I forget something, why do I remember it as soon as I go back to the action or spot I was in when I remembered it?

There’s something magical about thresholds. You know vampires can’t cross a threshold unless they’ve been invited in? It seems that there is something to myths that might actually be true."Entering or exiting through a doorway serves as an 'event boundary' in the mind, which separates episodes of activity and files them away," said lead researcher Gabriel Radvansky, a psychologist at the University of Notre Dame. "Recalling the decision or activity that was made in a different room is difficult because it has been compartmentalized."Scientific American: https://www.scientificamerican.c...some forms of memory seem to be optimized to keep information ready-to-hand until its shelf life expires, and then purge that information in favor of new stuff. Radvansky and colleagues call this sort of memory representation an “event model,” and propose that walking through a doorway is a good time to purge your event models because whatever happened in the old room is likely to become less relevant now that you have changed venues.

If you remember something you forgot, did you really even forget it?

It has been archived, but it is still there. You just cannot connect all the dots to run it in its absolute exactness within your conscious mind.Mind requires thoughts. Thoughts are what have gone scarce. Also, sometimes forgetting is only about getting over the mental and emotional overload that some memories put us into. In fact, we haven't really forgotten a happening but we just have risen above that memory.Sshhhhh. Kindly stay in present. Don't dwell elsewhere. :)

I LOST SOMETHING! I DONT KNOW HOW TO APPROACH MY PARENTS!?

Was it your virginity?

I forgot my Tumblr email and I can't log back in on my iPhone. What should I do?

I suggest you surf to the Tumblr website choose support at bottom left and complete their form noting that you forgot your Tumblr ID (e.g. E-mail address used to sign up). Note that doing this will require you to use another E-mail address for completing the support request and so they can reply back to you…Good Luck!

Can a hotel send me something I left there via mail?

I just came back from New Jersey (I live in PA) from a concert. I stayed there overnight because it was a 3 hr. drive.

As I was looking through my bag, I noticed I forgot my concert ticket and my Kindle there!

I can't just drive back and get it, as it's too far away. Do you think they could send it back to me? It's late here so I will call tomorrow, but I wanted to see what you think! Thanks :)

Omg! I forgot to put a stamp on my letter and put it in a mail box?

It will come back to you stamped "insufficient postage"
