Ok, this confused me too at first. What happened was, there was a lady. One day, she found that her older daughter was hurting her younger daughter. Somehow, the older daughter thought this was "ok behavior" The reason she thought it was ok was that she would always give her candy afterward. So..when she died she continued to kill people by them getting the call...you know that part. So, every victim had a little red ball in their mouth, that was the candy. The older daughter thought it was ok to kill people if she gave them candy. The red ball was like a hard candy of some sort. In the end, the mother protected the main character (sorry, I forgot her name) But the cycle will just continue on forever. Sorry if that was too long, I hope I helped you! Please give me the points!

One Missed Call? I'm totally confused HELP!?
i think it was because her mom locked her in her room when she found out that she was the one hurting her own sis, and everyone was thinking that it was the mom. So the daughter was taking out revenge. Plus, when she was having the asthma attack she was trying to call the cops sister. so her spirit was going through the phones everytime they died. The movie sucked though.
