I have iPad and iPhone. Should I buy Kindle reader?

If you do buy a Kindle for reading, by the e-reader and not the Fire, since the Fire is a tablet like the iPad. Just wanted to be clear.I have an iPad and an iPhone and a Kindle Paperwhite and much prefer reading on the Kindle. It sometimes does mean taking two devices (Kindle and phone for example) but reading on the Kindle is so much easier on the eyes. I find it easier to hold than the iPad because it’s smaller and lighter, even if I take my iPad out of the case I have.Kindle e-readers are also made specifically for reading, so there’s no temptation to play games, check email, etc., while you read. I find I actually get more reading done on a Kindle, although I have read parts of books on my iPad and iPhone. Out of the three though, I’d choose the Kindle for reading. Thanks for the A2A.

My friend is addicted to her iPhone?

My friend got an iPhone probably like 8 months ago. I've heard the iPhone is great, and she likes it, which is good. But sometimes I feel that she goes a bit overboard. One time we were at the beach and we saw a really cute lifeguard. He had an iPhone in his hand and my friend commented that he was "so lucky" to be able to look at his phone all day. She wasn't being sarcastic at all. Plus she seems to always be on twitter, facebook, tumblr, or messaging. She calls her phone her "baby" which I find a bit weird. She also said that her future boyfriend would have to get used to her texting and using her phone on their dates. I kept trying to imply to her that doing that would be rude, but she just doesn't seem to get it. Am I over reacting, or does it seem that she is too attached to her iPhone?

How are iPhones unlocked in street side shops in Chennai and Bangalore?

There is shop called vision cell in Richie street Chennai, they are the kings in unlocking mobiles. Try contacting them in person it will be unlocked in minutes in front of your eyes. You can't see what they do in computer but you can see your phone all through the process.I have few phones unlocked there and it's completely legal. But I am not sure how legal it is to use it in the home country .There is a street very next to casino theater. There is an ATM at the corner (for identification of the street). Go to the end of the street, the shop will be bit small but crowded all time.Or try http://www.fastgsm.comI have unlocked my note3 from this website when vision cell failed to unlock my note. But they are good with iPhone. .And yes it's less than 2000 in fastgsm chat support is avilable during 8 PM, fastgsm have standard rates which will be avilable in website itself.

Why doesn't Apple use the logo at the back of the iPhone as a fingerprint scanner?

Too cumbersome. First of all, most people use iPhone cases designed by a variety of manufacturers - there’s no guarantee that aftermarket manufacturers wouldn’t cover up a fingerprint sensor with the case.More importantly, though, you have to position your finger on the sensor to get a read, which means you’d have to flip the phone over, stick your finger on the apple logo, and then hope it worked as your flip the phone back around to view the main screen. There have been other proposed solutions for moving the fingerprint sensor: including putting it on the side of the device, redesigning the power button to incorporate it, and even putting it under the OLED display on the front of the device (the technology is under development for this last option, but apparently not ready yet).Ultimately, Apple appears to be pushing towards facial recognition in the new iPhone X as a successor to fingerprint recognition, and this has some advantages. For instance, I walk my dogs at the local beach after work, and I’ve found that even a tiny bit of water on your thumb can prevent getting a good fingerprint read. There are a ton of unknowns for facial recognition as well - including whether it works at all in low-light or dark conditions, how it handles makeup, beards or facial stubble, and whether hairstyles such as wearing bangs or pulling your hair back might cause it to misread.Apple is a master at multi-tasking new technologies in the iPhone, however, so those 2 front cameras they’ve added to support it will undoubtedly be useful for all sorts of new features. 3D video chat, anyone?

I have iPhone 6s and the flashlight icon has disappeared from the Control Center. Why is this and how can I get it back?

To access the Flashlight on iPhone 6s, we first need to open Control Center. From there, you can turn on the Flashlight with a single tap.Swipe up from the bottom of your screen to open Control Center.Depending on your settings, this may only work from Home Screen, or it may work within apps and from Lock screen. To check these settings, open the Settings app, tap Control Center.Locate the icon that looks like a flashlight and tap it.The light on iPhone 6s will now be on. You can close Control Center, Lock your phone, visit other apps and the iPhone 6s flashlight will remain turned on.

Should I still put a case on my silver iPhone 7 Plus even though it has scratches and discolouring on the sides already? The case is transparent and I don’t like the dust going in.

It’s the glass! Repeat that after me, “It’s the glass!”My solution to wear & tear on cell phones is two products: PDair leather wallet cases & Otterbox Defender cases.//DISCLAIMER: I have used both & swear by them. I get no financial reward from either product. I also have 10 Cell Phones (dedicated to specific uses). Three have PDair cases & 6 have Otterbox cases. The 10th is docked and is being used as a clock radio.OK, that said: Get the Otterbox case as it, while be bulky, will protect your phone the best under most circumstances. In my case, my current active phone (Motorola MOTO X) is in a PDair wallet case. My SO’s dog brought it to me (he had found it in the family room) in the home office in his mouth. The case had tooth marks & creases on it. The phone? INTACT!GET A CASE!//QuoraBOT: Note the OP asked for specific information on protecting an expensive cell phone. My answer is directed to that & is *not* a commercial endorsement for a product that I have any interest in other than the fact that I use it!
