I Get Insanely Nervous Before Work And Little Bit During.

I get too nervous at work?

Hiya,

I still get nervous at work some times and im 33!

Firstly well done for having a job at your age, my son s the same age as you and he dosent , so I think you should be proud of yourself,

Just think of it this way you must be good at it (and the phone and bagging take out) or you wouldn't still be working there,
The more you do it the more used to it you get so the less nerves you will have,
You could sit down and write down why this makes you nervous, and see if you can work out any solutions to this,
Also you have family who work there talk to one of them and see what they say,

Just take a deep breath and do your best this is all we can ever do in life! :)

Why do I always feel anxious before work?

I get nervous easily. What should I do?

I'm a guy, early 30s, well-educated and with a job that is coveted by many. I feel ashamed asking this question. But for as long as I can remember, I have always gotten nervous easily. At work, when we're sitting around a table and meeting new clients for the first time, it is typical to go around the table and introduce ourselves. This is the most nerve racking part of the meeting for me. I get more nervous introducing myself than asking questions/participating/answering during the meeting itself. It's probably because I have a stutter in my speech and that made me socially awkward in the past. I can just feel the tension building as people are introducing themselves - when the turn comes to me, people can tell that my voice is audibly shaky even if I get through the introduction fine. This is becoming very annoying for me. I guess I freeze up when all eyes are on me, waiting for an answer or waiting for me to say something. Somehow I don't feel this pressure when I'm answering a question, but only in the introduction part. But I keep thinking of how I'm saying something rather than what I'm saying. Not sure how I can get over this.

Even in personal life, in social situations, sometimes I need a 5-10 minutes to pass before I become comfortable talking sometimes. What should I do? Anyone experience anything similar? How did you get through it?

Please help me. My career and social life depend on it. Thank you very much!
