I Get So Hungry But I

Why do i get so hungry before my period?

Oh my gosh, I totally know what you are talking about, as I am going through the same thing as I type.

I woke up at 3 this morning from my belly-aching I was so hungry. I have a healthy appetite every other time of the month, but the couple days before I start, hunger-pangs hit hard.

I'm not sure what it is. Probably just a flux of hormones, maybe the body's way of saying that is getting ready to menstruate? It feels like nothing I ever eat is enough! Maybe it's like how some women get bitchy, except we just get hungry.

Anyway, best wishes :)

Why do I feel full but hungry?

I have been known to have something similar, and I have some ideas. No guarantee that this has any relationship to your situation, but maybe this will give you some ideas.I can remember a few times where I had eaten an entire box of (cooked) pasta, and my stomach was painfully over-full, and I was still feeling “hungry”. My brain was still sending me signals that I didn’t have enough nutrients in my body. What I later discovered is that WHAT I was eating made a huge difference. If I was eating simple carbs, like pasta, or white bread, or sugar, or cake, I could eat any amount I could physically fit into my body, and I wouldn’t send the signals to my brain to say “okay, stop eating now.” I’ve got some hypotheses as to why, but that’s not really the important thing right now. What I found was that I needed to eat things that digested a whole lot slower in order to feel full. It could involve eating more fats, for instance. It could involve eating more whole grains rather than processed grains — anything to slow down the process of digestion. But the most significant thing I learned was to eat more protein.Let’s say I had a thousand McDonald’s Quarter Pounders in front of me. I could go and eat all the buns off of them until I was literally about to puke because of how much stuff was in my belly, and I’d still feel hungry.Or I could eat the meat patties from one or two of them — and stop. And I’d be full.So my question to you is — WHAT are you eating when you are hungry-but-painfully-full? Is it like me, where you’ve been eating pasta, or bread, or corn flakes, or cake? If so, try eating protein instead — tuna, or chicken, or fish, or beef, or pork, or whatever. Or at least, fat. One slice of bread and butter might do better for you than an entire loaf of bread without it.Again — no guarantees. But it might be worth a try to see if your body works like mine.

Why do I get so hungry that i'm not hungry?

If you are so hungry that eventually you do not feel hungry anymore, that is because you body asks for food until it can not get it. It then thinks you are not able to get any food for it so it goes into starvation mode and starts eating itself. What I mean by that is, it is eating the fat and muscle off of your body to function properly. it is what happens to people who are stranded without food and are trying to survive. It also happens to millions of people who have food and choose not to eat sometimes because they want to stay thin. Not the best idea. Try eating 6 small meals a day, keeping yourself full enough all day to never feel hungry but not stuffed to feel sluggish. This will keep the fire inside you burning(metabolism) and your body will burn calories constantly keeping you thin.

I'm SO hungry, but my throat hurts so bad?

I really feel your pain! I had an awful cold and sore throat but it developed while I was at a sleepover. I was absolutely fine, but within half an hour I felt SO sick! My glands were up and I couldnt more my neck without it hurting.

First you should go to a sink [laundry is the best so you dont spread germs into the bathroom or kitchen] and cough up as much mucus and snot as you can. It sounds gross and will probably make you gag depending on the severity of your cold, but the mucus is filled with germs that will just make you feel worse if not coughed up. Spit right inot the plughole and rinse down with water straight away to avoid germs spreading. This whole part sould absolutely revolting, but trust me - you'll feel much better afterwards.

Keep your fluids up. Drink lots of water, even if it makes you feel yucky. Warm/hot water with a teaspoon or two of honey will soothe your throat.

Avoid dairy. Someone answered this question telling you to drink milkshakes and eat icecream. This will NOT make you feel better. In fact, this will make you feel so much worse. Dairy builds up mucus and snot, which will make you feel very blocked up and stuffy. Your nose will run a milliontimes more than before, too. Just avoid all dairy!

Eat icypoles. These will not only soothe your throat, but they have energy which you will need. Normal ice is great too, but dont bite it - biting ice damages the enamel on your teeth!

Soup is the best thing. Soup will make you feel fuller because it is a liquid, and is easy to swallow. Dont drink acidic soups like Tomato soup. It will most-likely make your throat hurt more, and could even cause ulcers. Stick to Pumpkin or Chicken and Corn soup!

Take your Vitamins! Vitamin C works wonders for colds/sore throats!

Please take care of yourself. Sleep and rest is the best thing you can do! I honestly know exactly how you feel. I have gotten colds so bad that my glands would swell up so much that it looked like I didnt have a neck! [Gross, i know].

Xx.

Should i eat? I'm hungry, but I don't want to get fat..?

It's almost 1am (daylight savings time); but in actuality, it would only be 12 midnight! I'm starving!
I can't stop thinking about the food in my fridge that I could eat and my stomach keeps growling! but I don't want to get fat!!!! I'll be going to bed right after so I don't know if I should eat! To eat or not to eat, that is the question!!

I'm hungry but don't feel like eating?

I'm starving, but don't feel like eating.. idk why. All I've had today was a bagel, and I don't have any type of an eating disorder. Why am I like this? I want food, but there's nothing I want. Why is that? Also, what should I have?

I'm really hungry, but I get full really fast?

I mean, what is that all about?? Like, I'll wake up and I'll be soooo hungry, so I go get something to eat and I can only finish half a bowl of cereal, or one piece of toast. Then like, 4 hours later I'll get really hungry again and really fast, and it'll be the same thing. I just can't eat much. It's really weird, because before I could eat and eat and eat and not be full...
I don't think it's psychological (and least I hope not xD) and I'm not like anorexic or something, because as soon as I'm hungry, I'll eat, I just get feel full really fast.
I've been a bit stressed lately... Could that have anything to do with it?
Thanks :)

I get so hungry and i cant stop eating after school!!?

I remember when I ate so much snack at home after school. The way I stopped eating is to just not buy the snacks, so that way even if you want to eat there are none! If it's your parents buying the snacks then tell them you don't need them anymore. When there were no snacks around me I never really bothered to go buy and get some since I knew that's not the best decision to make, but when there were snacks near me I always ate... makes me sick to think about those days.

Why do I Feel hungry but after a while I don't feel hungry anymore?

This question reminds me of what I have learnt in middle high school. I will try my best to answer it. If there is any memory failure or misinterpretation, plz do not hesitate to correct me. Thx!Sugar is our direct energy provider. When blood sugar (sugar in your blood) of your body is running out, your body will give a warning to you by making you feel hungry. If you replenish energy by eating in time, the blood sugar concentration (the amount of sugar presented in your blood) will back to the normal level and you will regain the energy to do what you want.If you don't have the time to eat, you will keep feeling hungry. But this feeling won't last for too long. Because our body naturally tightly regulates blood sugar concentration as a part of metabolic homeostasis. As a result, our body will decompose stored protein into sugar to keep providing engry, and you won't feel angry when the blood sugar concentration is enough. However, when stored protein can't satisfy your need, you will feel hungry again. But you still don't have the time to eat, then what will happen? Your body will resort to decomposing stored fat into protein. And protein will be decomposed into sugar, you don't feel hungry again.Though you don't feel hungry and think that you can just go on to the next day without eating, it's really very important for us to eat in time. If you don't eat in time for a long time, I am worried that you may be doing harm to your stomach and your body in the long term. For me, eating is not only to replenish energy, but also to enjoy delicious food. These delicious and beautiful food makes me happy. So just remember to eat in time and go to doctor for your stomach just in case.Good luck!
