Why would an incoming call not show in a cell phone call log?
If a call doesn’t reach to your phone (for example out of network), it won’t show.If a call reaches to your phone (Doesn’t matter you pick it up or not) and doesn’t show in call log, then reset your phone or check it with your device manufacturer software for any bug.
I keep getting phone calls from the number "0"?
Other than what first poster said, a lot of times when it's a restricted or hidden number (like an "unlisted" number) it will show up as 0s. It's sort of masked. Mine shows up at 000-0000, restricted, or private, but it depends on the phone and your provider as to what it will say. It will show up as any of the 3 for anything for me.. It's not like one is cell phones, one is landlines, one is businesses, so it's most likely whatever it's masked as by THEIR provider. It's likely just someone with a private number if it's not a telemarketer. Remember most cell phones also show up private as well.
My husband lied to me about a phone call that came into his cell phone.?
My husband's cell phone rang while we were out to dinner after not seeing each other for about 7 days because of a trip. He looked at the cell phone and said that it did not show a number and that he does not answer calls unless they show caller ID. When he went to the restroom later I looked at his phone and saw that it was a call from a female co-worker of his. I did not approach him on this because I know that he would be upset for my checking on him. But, I am hurt that he lied to me. Should I tell him that I know?
Do the police call you using "911" or a random phone number? When I was younger (really young), I received a call asking if I was "name" and that they were the police but I hanged up and nothing happened afterwards. Is this a prank?
Not only will they call you from a random number but they can also have a false number show up on your caller ID or a blocked number. I never answer any blocked numbers so the only way they get through to me is if a number shows up. But here is a helpful tip that works well for me. When anybody calls and asks for me by name, I always ask them who is calling. I have never had a police officer decline to tell me that they were a police officer before I confirm who I am. Remember, anyone who calls you should identify themselves before you identify yourself. It is a courtesy to accept the phone call, you are not obligated to do so. I always hang up on anyone who refuses to tell me who they are if I don’t recognize their voice. Nor am I in the habit of identifying myself before I know who’s on the other end of the phone.However, most of the time I can tell when it’s a police officer before they identify themselves because of their phone mannerism. I get calls regularly from the State police seeking donations and I always know who they are by the way they talk. If you hang up on a State police officer seeking donations then nothing is going to happen but if you hang up on an officer conducting an investigation then it may be followed by a knock on your front door.
I'm getting strange phone calls from a walmart number?
The past three days I've been receiving phone calls on my house phone constantly from a number that shows up as "Walmart" on my caller id (the number is actually calling me right now as I'm typing this). I usually get an average amount of phone calls on my house phone from telemarketers, wrong numbers, and people asking me to take a survey or give a donation....However, these calls I'm getting are different and it's starting to freak me out. This number has been calling constantly, and the "Walmart" number on the caller id is an out of state number. I can't make long distance calls from my house phone, but I can from my cell phone. I called the number back from my cell phone and spoke with two different Walmart employees. The Walmart number that is showing up on my caller id is a Walmart in Minnesota...I live in Alabama and this number has been ringing my house phone off the hook for three days. One of the Walmart employees that I spoke with told me that someone is calling me from a different number and using some kind of hack to make the Walmart number appear on my caller id? I don't have any enemies or anyone that would have any motive to harass me. What creeps me out about this is that when I have actually answered the calls it's not some kid, it's a machine like a beeping noise?? The noise just creeps me out because it sounds like a machine or someone trying to find or track my location...Maybe I'm being paranoid?? I just don't believe any person that I know would be doing this, and I don't understand what the point of these calls are?? I have been doing a lot of traveling lately..I've gone through and/or stayed in seven different states in the past three weeks, and now that I'm home my phone has been ringing off the hook with these strange calls. Other than the fact that these calls are beyond annoying...Should I be worried about this?
Can i quit my job by not showing up?
(please read the whole thing) I got a job at a pizzeria and I just can't do it. I went for training 2 times and did fine but i dont think i can go back. I mean the job itself is simple, but i have an eating disorder and horrible insecurities so the fact that they make all the girls wear fitted, tight (and i mean a 1 size smaller than you actually are tight) shirts is not good for me. I've been crying every night because of me having to wear this shirt, and i know it sounds stupid. Other than that, the pay is $9/hr off the books while minimum where i live is 15 so i can do better. I've also heard that some of the guys there are pigs and grope the girls occasionally and when i asked the girl training me if that was true, she made one of those faces that made it seem true. I was also sexually assaulted before and i can't be around that in a tiny pizzeria. My shift today is at 11 (when they open) and i dont have the managers number so i can't call beforehand. They didn't even tell me what time im off, i dont even know if im still in training. Can I just not show up? I would feel bad doing this cause normally I am very respectful and responsible but i just can't seem to find the courage to go. The only thing im worried about is the fact that I might screw them up since im not sure if theyll be another girl working the same shift. (but i guess even if thats the case, its Monday around noon, not necessarily their most busy time)

I got a phone call from a wierd number so I called back and got this wierd recording like "oh hey wanna have some fun blah blah" and so I hung up, but I'm a liiittle worried- could a virus have gotten on my computer and accessed my personal info?
What number shows up when you get a call from jail?
That's a VERY difficult question to answer. Especially since pertinent information is not available. I will say though, it could be ANY number, depending on WHERE the inmate is. Is he/she in a State or Federal Prison? What State THEY are in? What State YOU are in? Are the calling collect? Or using a phone card? Lastly, which COMPANY handles that institutions phone/trust accounts.My S.O. is in a Michigan prison. I also live in Michigan. His calls come through with a Dallas Texas number! The company that handles his accounts is GTL Financial Services in Florida! So I have NO IDEA WHY his calls ALWAYS come from Texas?IF I wanted to put money into either of his accounts via money order (The cheapest option since you only have to pay for the money order and a stamp) I have to send a money order to FLORIDA, they deposit the money order in Florida, then send notice BACK to Michigan, who will add the money to his account! It takes about 2 weeks.So really there is NO way of knowing, INITIALLY. Ever since the FIRST call from the facility he is at now, it HAS been the same phone number. I have actually put that number in my phone as his contact number so now when he calls, his name & picture pops up. He ALWAYS calls via phone card. Never collect.
