I Got A Pipe Burn From A Bike It

How do I treat a burn from a motorcycle exhaust pipe?

I got a burn on the inside of my ankle about 3 inches in diameter. This happened about 6 days ago. At first, it was just black and blue like a bruise, it didn't hurt at all. Then the next day it started to blister and all the skin peeled off and then it hurt a lot. I have been putting neosporin on it and keeping it covered with a large bandage, changing it at least once a day. I haven't been using soap or anything on it, except when in the shower I keep the bandage off so it gets cleaned that way. The center is all red and looks bloody, with little red spots all over. The outer edge is all purple/pink. It still burns and throbs now if I put pressure on my foot or try flex my foot which stretches the skin. Is this a 3rd or 2nd degree burn? Does this sound like it is infected? Should I be treating it another way? Do I need to go to the doctor?? Any advice would be great! Thanks...

How to heal scars.. from exhaust pipe.??

If it's only been a day, you do not have a scar. You have a wound. Two completely different things.
I'm assuming it's a burn, since it's from an exhaust pipe. Second degree? Do not break any blisters that occur. Go to your local CVS/Walgreens/whatever, and buy some silver sulfadiazine. Follow the instructions on how and when to apply. It's made specifically for burns. It will prevent infection, which will speed up the healing time of your burn. The quicker it heals, the more minor the scar will be.
Once it's healed and actually scarred is when you look into vitamin E capsules, bio-oil, mederma, and the like.

I burnt my leg on a motorcycle exhaust pipe.?

My friends dad gave me a ride home on his motorcycle. It was the first time I had ever been on a motorcycle. I'm really short so the bike was a bit to tall for my liking. When I was getting off my right calf touched the exhaust pipe for about 2 seconds. The burn hurt really bad for the first 1 hour or so. Then when I woke up in the morning I have a blister that looks and feels like 7 individual bubble wrap bubbles in one. The burn mark is red and and about 2 inches wide and one inch high. Is there anything I should do to remove this HUGE blister thats on my leg? And if it stays like that could it get worse if I play sports? Thanks for reading I'm just really worried that something bad might have happened and I just want it to stop burning as fast as possible.

Will my motorcycle burn scar?

I got a motorcyle burn on my calf 7 months ago, and it's still red/white. Will the pigment ever return? Also, the skin is not the same texture as the rest of my skin. Does anyone know if it'll heal? Has anyone had a similar experience?

What would happen if I put a burning matchstick in the petrol tank of a bike/car?

Depends. After putting burning matchstick if you have put the cap back then their will be blast as there will be no way for gas to go out.If you have just left the cap open, then your bike will only burnt. It's very unlikely that there will be any explosion.P.S. --> Petrol is highly inflammable element. You don't need to touch the fire/spark to it to ignite it. It has property to vaporize, thus it can catch fire even from distance as well. Due to this nature, petrol is known as Gasoline. Why do people in America refer to petrol as gas?And last but not the least, kindly do not put your valuable life into the risk by trying such things on your own. There are people who have already done this, you can see / read their experiences on Science of Stupid & Quora respectively.Below links are your visual treatWhat happens when you fire Petrol / Gasoline?Watch it at 03:02 secs (Where the open Petrol can catches fire)

What are the causes of oil being present in an exhaust pipe?

Quick answer, simply put. If you are really getting oil coming out of your exhaust pipe, this can be pretty much only an oil seal failure in the turbo. It would have to be a catastrophic failure to have oil dripping out, but you would have noticed by now, as there will be huge smoke clouds emitting from the exhaust,as the hot pipe smokes it off.If you do not have a turbo, then it is not oil coming out. If there is oil getting into the exhaust from a non turbo, (or turbo) engine, then a piston may have a hole in it, or the valve guides are leaking, but you’d know about those two problems as well. One from the loss of power, and the other from the huge smoke clouds.

Motorcycle burn - Can I go swimming?

I burned the back of my leg on a motorcycle muffler a few days ago. Approx. 3 by 2 inches. It has blistered and popped, but not completely scabbed up since i have it covered. Can i go swimming and get chlorine in it or is that bad for the healing?

What to you do for a motorcycle muffler burn on you leg?

It depends on how badly you were burned - my sister got a 3rd degree burn when the bike fell on her, which chars flesh deeply leaving blackened tissue, and not hurting that much since it burned through the nerve endings. In a third degree burn, you must get immediate medical attention - cover with clean or sterile gauze and get to the ER. Do not try to pull any clothing or any other residue from the burn. A second degree burn will blister badly and hurt like hell. Wash gently with mild soap and tepid water (not ice water). The straight - up medical community recommends to keep clean and dry, cover with sterile gauze if you have to if the burn will rub on clothing or blankets. Personally, fresh aloe right out of the branch of an aloe vera plant provides a "second skin" for your damaged skin, and has healing and moisturizing elements in it. So, personally, I keep aloe plants in my house for burns. It's best to leave a first or second degree burn "open to air" as much as possible. Do not break the blisters, they will eventually weep on their own, but the skin needs to be there as a defense to infection as long as possible. A first degree burn will be bright red, rinse with tepid water and gentle soap to clean. Aloe, again, is the best in my own experience. Topical burn preparations containing aloe and lidocaine or benzocaine (which will help numb the area, are good choices. It's best to leave "open to air" whenever possible. You need to watch burns for signs of infection: swelling, darker red-rimmed, pus, red lines radiating from the burn, and systemic symptoms such as fever, body aches and pains, fatigue, nausea. Make sure you keep yourself well-hydrated with water and at least one or two 8oz. glasses of an electrolyte drink such as gatorade, powerade, etc...
My sister's 3rd degree burn took months to heal, and she(and anyone else iwth a 3rd degree burn) required continued medical monitoring, as the wound must heal from the inside out - called "secondary intention" in the medical profession. This requires special wet to dry sterile dressings for optimum healing. Some patients may need a skin graft. This is one injury (amongst many) that are unfortunately very common to motorcycle fans. When in doubt, have a physician check it out.... Best of healing to you.
