I Got Bit By My 3 1/2 Month Old Puppy. Im Scared That I Might Have Rabies Should I Be Worried

Can I have rabies if I am bitten by 5-6 month old pup?

Next time, skip the alcohol. Alcohol is not something you should apply to a wound. It is unlikely you will contract rabies from your puppy. Puppies bite, although by about 5-6 months, they should have developed a fair amount of bite inhibition, especially with regard to human skin. The only way a dog can get rabies is if it is bitten by an infected animal, so if you didn't witness any bite or altercation with a wild animal, your pup isn't likely to have rabies, especially if you have not observed any unusual behavior.

Should I still be worried about rabies 10 months later after a feral cat bite?

Rabies can stay in a human body for up to seven years without signs showing. I have a phobia with rabies so I researched this topic religiously. I say if you are so worried go to the doctors and say you were bit by a feral kitten 10 months ago. Depending on your city's rabies prevalence, they may either start you on treatments or tell you its nothing to worry about. Also remember kittens and puppies have a low chance of having rabies because they usually do not survive a attack from a rabid creature who might attack them.It is vital to go to the doctors immediately aftee being bitten by a wild animal, a animal you do not know their vaccination history of, or any animals who are being abnormal…aka a friendly dog suddenly is aggressive, a noctural animal is seen in daytime, a wild animal is overly friendly. In America, only 1 to 2 human rabies cases happen a year, unfortunately its fatal once signs start showing except in 2 cases. In all fatal cases, they didn't go to the doctors after being bitten.I would have immediately gone to the doctors, not just for rabies but also for possible bacterial infections the kitten may have passed into your wound.I won't say don't worry about it but I will say the likelyhood of contracting rabies is rare in US. However, if you live in India or Mexico with higher rabies prevalence, I would go and get the rabies shots to be safe. Its painful but its better then a disease slowly destroying your brain.

My 3 month old pug bit me, is there a chance that he has rabies?

So Stark(my pug) and I were playing when he accidentally bit me. the wound was not so deep, and it did not bleed. But I saw something red on it, though as I've said, there was no bleeding. I immediately cleaned it with soap and alcohol. Stark just turned 3 months and has not yet had his anti rabies vaccine. He is a house pet, and there are no other pets btw. so, are there chances that he has already developed rabies? Im kinda scared

Ok my puppy who is 2 months old started to twitch and shake and drool or foam?

take its pulse, while resting, this can be done by feeling for the vein in the hind legs right on the inside where the thigh meet its hip/ ner private area.if its rapid like goes faster than your resing rate be a lil concered. as metioned above can be seizure, although foaming at the mouth is rare, is the foam yellowish, if so eww lol, jk but yellow is not a good color, and if it isnt massive amount enough to fill your palms its just drool from her huffing and puffing of the seizures, dont worry that is probly all it is, i dont know why you would assume rabies, its very young, and if it has its shots then... no reason again.

Why would my 5 month old puppy pee on the couch?

Mini schnauzers are AWESOME!!! They are SO helpful with anything you do (even cleaning up pee). I just call mine the supervisor, because he ALWAYS has to be right there when Im doing something.

It was most likely just an accident, and at 5 months should be close to being house broken (but not quite there). Its good to give him some freedom to roam around without constantly watching him, or keeping him crated, but it means sometimes they get in trouble (peeing, chewing something they shouldnt, etc). This is how they learn though, so just clean it up with a good cleaner (I always used Natures Miracles), and keep a little closer eye on him.

Make sure he goes out and potties before play time, and that should end the peeing while playing.

My bigger concern would be that he got up on the table! Thats a BIG no no! And should have been corrected immediatly, and never allowed to happen again. Dont even let him on the kitchen chairs.
