I Got This E-mail Earlier Today And I

Should I say "I didn't get your email" or "I don't get your email" if your email has never been delivered successfully?

Be careful of the “didn’t” vs. “don’t” in that kind of usage with “get.”The other answers explained it beautifully. This one is to use in your context:—“Didn’t get” — you failed to get the email (because it didn’t reach you). This one can be dangerous:—“Don’t get” idiomatically or colloquially means “don’t understand” and/or “don’t appreciate.” I don’t get your email is saying I don’t understand what your email is on about. That could lead to some severe misunderstanding.Alternatively, you could just say “No email yet, I’m afraid” or “I haven’t got your email yet.”

Hot Topic confirmation email?

Hot Topic is a fad store. They notoriously have bad customer service, and sell merchandise that is not worth the price as far as quality is concerned. Their employees in the store are paid min wage, and I would assume their call center employees are too. I only have one clothing item that I ever bought from there that lasted more than a few wash cycles, and that is a pair of pants I couldnt fit into a couple months after I got them (was pretending to diet when i got them, stopped, and gained about 10-15 pounds when i started eating normally... crash diets kill your metabolism)

Check to see if the order has been charged. They may forget a confirmation, but if it went through, they will NOT forget to get your money. If its been charged, call customer service back. If they cant do anything for you, call your bank to dispute the charge. If you need something by a certain date, its usually better to try to buy locally, or make sure you give your order plenty of extra time to be there (order it sooner, and choose expedited shipping).

PC World dispatched email?

I wonder if the PCWorld / Currys group has a problem with outgoing emails today. I asked for a password reset on PC World which never arrived and went to Currys to place the order instead. The acknowlegement email never arrived from them, although the order shows in "my account".

UPDATE 8 Sept 2011

These emails arrived today - one day later than they should. Could have been your expected email was delayed similarly.

Barnes and Noble email receipt?

I went to Barnes and Noble earlier today, and when I went to checkout, the cashier asked me if I wanted an email receipt, which means instead of them giving you a paper receipt, they send the receipt to your email. I said sure. After the purchase was done, she said the receipt will be in my inbox.

I left the store and went home. Once home, I got the books out of the bag and almost smacked myself on the forehead for what I realized. Considering I have over 100 books in my room, I didn't have every single title memorized, and accidentally bought a book I already have. I felt stupid, but told myself it's fine because I can just simply return it.

I went to my email and searched for the receipt, but out of all the unread mail in my inbox, none of them were the receipt. I even checked through all my spam, and it wasn't there. I thought the email receipt would be convenient, because I couldn't lose it, considering it's in my inbox. I was wrong. I lost it before I even got it, and now I have no receipt and I'm stuck with 2 of the same books.

Is there any way I can return the book, or locate my receipt? I don't have a Barnes and Noble membership, the woman asked for my email to send the receipt to, and I gave it to her, that was it.

I got an email that says "Your Yahoo Mail will be automatically updated on January 31st". Did anyone else get this and what does it mean?

It means what it says it means. Starting January 31st, 2019, the classic version of Yahoo Mail that you’re using on your computer will no longer be available. To ensure continued access to your Yahoo Mail account, you will be automatically upgraded to the latest version of Yahoo Mail or Basic Mail, depending on the compatibility of your computer’s web browser.

Just got an email concering piracy am i in trouble?

The way this correspondence is phrased, you're not in real trouble quite yet. From here, I can't tell whether this is a valid e-mail. It does sound like valid content.

The obvious course of action for you is to stop downloading (or uploading, or making available) content that might be protected by a copyright. Don't use Vuze. There's a ton of copyright-free content on the internet, and there are official and sanctioned network websites that allow program viewing.

If this is real, then NBC will leave you alone if you stop. They're not so interested in prosecuting an end-user who goofed up. They're much more interested in shutting down piracy rings.

It sounds like you intended no wrongdoing. You'd only get in real trouble if, now that you know, they catch you again.
