I Got Ticket For Not Having An Adult Using Learners Permit. Can I Get To Take The Drivers Safety

What would happen if i was driving without a learners permit but was driving with a liscense adult n gotcaught

There is no excuse or legal reason for doing what you are doing. Shame on you, you endanger the licence of the adult with you. You would be charged with driving without a licence. The adult with you would be charged as well, unless you showed him a fake or someone else's permit making him think you had passed the learner test. They would likely issue you a driver licence number and suspend it, meaning you couldn't even get your permit for certain period of time. I don't know about where you live, but in Manitoba driver's ed starts with the learner's licence, and you don't get behind the wheel until you pass it.

Can you get a ticket when your driving on a learners permit?

Oh see I was wondering how you meant this. Yes they can still write a ticket if you only have a permit, it is a form of license(as long as you are following the rules with it, otherwise they'd ticket you for no license as well). Now if you can KEEP your permit with a ticket or not depends in part of the ticket and the State. In some cases you'd lose your permit for the ticket.

Add: And don't worry if you "suck at driving" as if you are even decent for the roads the cops will be understanding. In other words stay on your own side of the road, and in your lane, and stay around the speed limit. If a cop does pull you over then simply be respectful of the police and they will probably just let you go with a warning as they realize that people with a permit are usually learning and aren't going to be that good yet.

What happens when you get a ticket while having your learners permit?

The truth is, it depends on the State that you live in and its rules/laws. In NY, a learner's permit is like being on probation. If you're convicted of a moving violation while on probation, then your privilege to operate is going to be suspended for a specific amount of time.

Also, the violation has to be a serious infraction, not tinted windows, expired inspection, expired registration - something serious (red light, speeding, unsafe lane change, etc).

What happens if I get caught driving with just a learner permit?

My friend wants to come over this Friday on urgent business that cant wait and all she has is a permit and a car with gas, no money and no one to take her. I offered to go down but she says it would be issues with her family and all, but im worried about her, what happens if she gets caught?

Driving with permit without adult?

I am 15 and I have my permit, if i took off and started driving, if i got pulled over... would they make it so I could not get my license until i was a certain age. Or a certain time from getting pulled over. What would that time be. Or if there was a fine... how much? Thanks!

I am 17 1/2 and just got my learners permit, do I still need to take a driving lesson (from a licensed instructor) if I plan to take the road test after I’m 18?

(Answer Edited for clarity): You are not required to take lessons from anyone, even a professional at this stage. If you have a responsible adult who is 21 or older that will be giving you lessons on the road, make sure the person has a good driving record (clean of moving violations) and has a reputation as a safe driver. Hiring a licensed instructor, even through a driving school, can get a bit expensive.Safe travels!

As a police officer, would you give a ticket to a 15-year-old driving in an empty parking lot with his/her parents, without a permit?

As a college police officer I get this a lot. Our parking lots are just about perfect for the budding young driver to perfect his or her skills.Obviously they need to have a learner’s permit, but I usually hang back and watch them. Eventually I pull up next to them to compliment them on their driving, and then give them some advice.“Eventually during your young driving career you're going to have someone dressed just like me standing at your left shoulder. Trust me, it's GOING TO HAPPEN! Don't panic, and don't start crying. All that does is make the officer delay your departure until you've gotten yourself together enough to continue driving. Be courteous, be polite, and for goodness sake, don't argue! No officer is going to try the case on the side of the road! Just have your license and proof of insurance ready. The chances are you'll just get a warning anyway.“Never forget that you're pushing a 2,000 pound ballistic missile down the road, so always keep your head in your driving. Don't worry about the big math test you've got in the morning. Don't worry about the fight you had with your boy (girl) friend. Don't be thinking about how grossly unfair your parents were because they wouldn't let you go to the big party ‘everyone is attending’.“You have but one job. Keeping your mind completely on your driving so that you'll arrive alive!”Then I give them some pointers. “A lot of folks keep the lights in their dashboard all the way up. But it isn't necessary. Bring your dash lights down to where you can comfortably see your instruments, and you won't have all that light in your eyes. You'll be amazed at how much easier it is to see outside your car when your night vision isn't affected. And if you see that the traffic light down the road is turning red, then slow down. There's no reason to speed right up to a place where you're going to have to stop anyway. And you might even be able to time the light so it is green for you.”Then I wish them well, and let them continue their lesson. Hopefully I've encouraged them to remember that not all cops are, well … assholes!’cause I work very hard not to be one!!The answer that I never got around to giving, though, is no. I'm not going to ticket a kid who is practice driving with his parent and has no permit. But I'm certainly going to tell him/her to relinquish control of the vehicle to a licensed driver, and to go get the silly permit post haste.

What happens if you get pulled over with only a driver's permit? You are 16–17 years old with your parents and you get pulled over. What happens?

I got pulled over about 11 years ago(I was 19 and was in the process of obtaining my license) while driving my mom's whip after driving past a red light at about 11p in Queens. I don't remember why I was in such a rush but I did a full stop at the red light and it was completely dead (no cars or pedestrians anywhere), as soon as i passed the red light an undercover cop appeared out of literally nowhere! I promptly pulled over and had to calm my sister down since she was freaking out knowing the fact that I was driving on a permit. I closed my eyes for a few seconds and prayed. The officer was very well dressed in a suit and upon asking me for my driver's license and registration, I pulled out the registration followed by “about the drivers license… Here's my permit.” he then asked “is there was any particular reason you felt the need to pass the red light?” I looked him in the eyes and answered him brutally honestly “no officer I have no excuse, I shouldn't have done that” followed by looking down in shame. He then told me what the consequences were in which I acted very surprised as if I wasn't fully aware (which I most definitely was) of what could happen. He gave me back my permit and registration and warned me to never do that again. I was so shocked that by the time I snapped back to reality he was almost back in his car. I stuck my head out the window and screamed thank you and wiped the sweat from my brow. *phew*
