Water Damage on a PS3 controller.?

I spilt water on my PlayStation 3 controller and the analogue stick was turning my car to the right while I was playing the game right after I spilt it. The next day, the analogue stick worked but the X, O, triangle, square and maybe the other buttons don't work. I can't tell because I can't enter a game because the X buttond doesn't work. It happend about 2 weeks ago and I still have the same problem. Is there a way of fixing the PS3 controller myself?

Will there ever be a waterpolo game for PC,PS2,PS3, or Xbox?

There is one I know but it's only for Gamecube... check this video.. http://cube.ign.com/dor/objects/727056/s...

Spilled water on my ps3 controller?

Open it up...the water goes inside the remote and what you're doing is drying the outside of the controller, not the inside. Dry it with the blower like you did and maybe it will work, if not, you might have to get a new one.

PS3 controller got a little bit of water?

Last night I accidentally dropped a little bit of water on my PS3 controller, so I dried it up and put it somewhere where it wouldn't happen again. Anyway, today I just tried to use it and none of the bottons are working properly .__. Does that mean I have to buy a new controller or does anybody know about anything I can do to make it work? :S

When I load the game Uncharted 2 into my PS3 Slim, it stops at the screen with the dagger that turns, making it impossible to play. How do I fix this problem? Is this the end of the PS3 or the game's life?

If all your other games play fine, then the issue is clearly not with your PS3 but with your copy of Uncharted 2. Take a micro-fiber cloth and some cleaner and gently wipe the bottom of the disk from the center toward the outter edges. Do not use paper towels or toiled paper as they will leave behind fibers that may have been cause of the problem to begin with. Do not use tap water as it has mineral deposits that may be left behind on the disk. If you want to use water it has to be distilled. stupid things like finger prints, hairs, etc can cause a game to skip while the laser is reading it. Also check for minute scratches. If all of this fails to fix the issue, then there is most likely an error or corruption in your game install. If you have any DLC start by deleting that and see if the game will run correctly. If not, uninstall the game data and re-install it and see if it works. If both of these fail, then your game save may be corrupted. (This is the worst to me because you lose all your game progress if it's the case) delete your save game data (you can back it up to a flash drive first if you want to try to fix it later) and try starting a new game and see how it goes.If all of this fails... then you've stumped me. I'd have to guess there's something wrong with your disk see if you can borrow one from a friend to test, otherwise you may have to go digital.

My PS4 remote fell in water it was only in there for a couple seconds but it won't turn on is there any way I can fix it?

It appears that it has been already some time since the remote got wet. Normally as soon as something like this happens to a cellphone or an electronic device you remove the batteries and you can put it in rice so it absorbs humidity. This might not be the case with the controller, the fact that it got wet means that some of the circuits got disconnected or once power up might break.Take it to an electrician who can clean, dry properly and if there is any welding needed they can do it. Also there is an internal battery inside the controller that gets damage and can easily be replaced.I think you might end up paying close or more than 60 dollars so might be worth just buying a new one.

Would deleting my Game Data Utility for Skyrim mean I would have to re-download all of the DLC?

There is a glitch on the PS3 where when you jump into the water the game freezes. Bethesda said that you must delete the Game Data Utility and then reinstall it to fix the glitch, however I am concerned that this would cause me to have to re-download all of my DLC. It's even worse because I just got all of the DLC at once and started to play when this glitch appeared, and now I'm at a part in the game where it forces me to fall into the water. Will I need to re-download all of my DLC?

If I reinstall Skyrim(ps3) will it erase my saved games?

The save games are separate from the actual game's install data, so deleting the install data in Game Data Utility doesn't effect the actual game saves that you play which is in Saved Data Utility.

If you're game is freezing due to an element it could very well be the actual saved game data (what you load and play in the menu), although there's probably no way to know until you uninstall the game from Game Data Utility.
