I Had Fever Last Week And Still Have Little Runny Nose.

I don't have headache or fever or cough, but I have had a little runny nose for an hour. Should I be worried and get tested for swine flu?

One of the symptoms of swine flu is definitely a running nose, but there are other symptoms too such as cold, fever etc. It would be wrong to conclude anything on the basis of only one symptom; however, if you feel so, there is no harm in consulting a doctor. Watch this video, it will tell you more about the diagnosis of swine flu:

15 month old has a diaper rash, runny nose and a fever of 100.1.?

Those all sound like teething symptoms. As they get older, they start getting the teeth that are more painful to cut and cutting teeth is a painful process anyway.

I am sure I will get some thumbs down for recommending Infant Tylenol, but anyone who has had orthodontic work knows that the movement of teeth in the gums is brutal. It will help with the low grade fever as well.

A fever of 100.1 isn't enough to see the doctor without viral or infection symptoms in a baby over 3-4 months, so don't worry about the ER.

Some additional options:
Hyland's teething tablets
Rescue Remedy-- solution can go on temples or cream can go on feet
Iced wet washcloths
Children's Cold and Flu Relief for the runny nose http://www.911healthshop.com/chcoflureby...
Vibrating teether toys-- Babies R Us had them on clearance last week-- they might still be

I like oatmeal baths to relieve diaper area sensitivity. Aveeno makes one and they may have a diaper cream to match (I vaguely remember using it to help my son through the same thing)
You can also use a talc-free baby powder if the rashy area is getting moist. One with lavender or other green herbs will reduce inflammation. Avoid the ones with rose extract as rose is a vaso-dilator and can increase inflammation.

I think i have a cold. Usual small fever, stuffy/runny nose, sore throat coughing. Are there any methods to cure this? But also today i ate pizza and about two hours later i was brushing my teeth i threw up the pizza..why is that? Is this more than a cold?

It can all fit with having a cold.Rest, frequently drink a little (luke warm) water so not throw up, maybe take some paracetamol against the sore throat.  It will pass.Wishing you all the best!

Well you should of kept your tonque out of his mouth, now see what has happened to you.Now you have to go through all steps till its out of your system.I hope you got some cold medication to get rid of the virus, and also make sure you drink lots of water to flush it out also.So do not neck or kiss him for a very long time. All Right.I hope you get better soon.

How long does a fever from MMR vaccine last?

My 1 year old son got his MMR vaccination last week. A few days after his shot, he caught a slight cold (little runny nose and cough). On the 6th night after his vaccination, he had a fever of 100. He's had the fever (99-101) the past 2 nights. When will it go away? Should i be worried since he also has the cold?

For the past week, I've had a bad cough. Today, I woke up with a headache, fever, muscle ache/pain, stuffy nose, gross tasting mucus (it's normally flavorless), fatigue, chills, nausea, and shortness of breath. What should I do?

The symptom that sets off the bells is the shortness of breath. And you didn't mention wheezing! This suggests an urgent visit to an ER or Urgent Care facility. Pneumonia or Asthma is certainly a possibility, and you need someone to listen to your chest, and possibly a chest xray. The rest of the symptoms can likely be ascribed to influenza. 20000 Americans die every year from the flu. Sadly, until you have respiratory symptoms, there is little to do for the flu. There are medicines that can abort the flu, but they must be taken within 48 hours of the onset of symptoms.Next year get a flu shot. Better advice is to get 2 shots, or the geriatric strength shot. The success rate gets better.

I’ve been coughing violently for a little over a week, and I’ve become phlegmy and have a gross feeling. My hunger has fluctuated, and I’m getting worried. Is something wrong with me?

Yes.You are asking strangers on the Internet what you should do when you are sick, instead of going to see a doctor. That is what people are supposed to do when they are sick.GO SEE A DOCTOR NOW.Why? To make sure you don’t have something that could kill you (too many to list) or an innocent baby (Pertussis aka Whooping Cough is the first endemic that springs to mind.)Or submit your name to the Darwin awards, for consideration. It’s not too late; you could still be a contender for 2017.

Fever at the end of my cold?

I got a sore throat and runny nose a little more then a week ago but I felt normal again a couple days ago and then last night I felt really tired and sore and had a fever. This morning I feel somewhat better but I'm really sore I was wondering if it was normal to get a fever at the end of a cold or if this was a different virus?

23 month old sick with cough for weeks, put on amoxicillin last week, extremely sick all over again?

Yes, my daughter has had difficulties recovering from colds occasionally. This is the way it usually goes (at least twice anyway)......she has had a bad cold, after 10 days, I take her to the doctor, get a sinus infection diagnosis or sometimes ear infection and antibiotics. She either starts to get better, then gets worse again or doesn't improve at all and I go back in and get another round of antibiotics. You might ask for Augmentin or zithromax (I like zithromax because it's just 5 doses instead of 20. Both of these are a little stronger than amoxicillin. We don't use amox with her anymore because it just doesn't help her. So, our dr usually starts with zithromax, then augmentin if needed. We have also tried omnicef but my daughter does not tolerate this well. It gave her bad stomach upset. I wouldn't worry too much about this. Our doctor has told us that some kids just have a tougher time getting over colds. She is 3 now and very healthy......just struggles a bit with colds. I have learned to "stay on top of colds" a little better with her. She seems to do better if we catch the infections early. Usually if she's still struggling after a week with a cold, I take her to the dr. In most cases, she has a sinus infection. If I wait longer, then she gets worse and ends up with two rounds of antibiotic. I would probably just call the dr first and speak to a nurse, then see if they recommend another visit with the dr. They probably will, then you can see if you just need to continue the amoxicillin or try something stronger. Good luck!
