Why do guys hate being short?
I’m of average height in terms of US statistics. But I’ll weigh in.Guys hate being short mainly because of how many women perceive them. Being tall is something that girls seem to associate with manliness, strength, in other words the ability to protect. Shortness to many of them project the opposite traits. Being short makes you the butt of a lot of jokes as well, I’ll admit I called my coworker today a Christmas elf (He’s like 5′4″). But I’ve seen it both ways. I didn’t get my growth spurt until I was 15, so I also got grief in middle school.In the US, in this day and age, you’ll hear a lot of girls say things like “I won’t even consider dating someone who isn’t at least 6′”. (Are they trying to get dunked on or something?). Ironically enough, they are ruling out a significant chunk of men over ONE single physical characteristic. Imagine a guy saying, “I won’t even consider dating a girl who is over 115 pounds.” The statement is not only shallow, that guy would shortly be lynched by an angry mob of women. But it gives you an idea. Even if a girl is overweight, she can lose that. Short men can’t grow their bones at will, so why hold it against them?Fortunately, this perception isn’t all-encompassing, and many times it’s held by people who are young and immature with unrealistic standards.
I HATE being a short man?
in the dating world I am 5'9 and it sucks sometimes i dont even feel like a real man, i feel like a child, and I am 19 I hate being short, and I understand women instinctually go for taller guys so i really cant blame them for hardwiring (just like they shouldnt blame men for not liking fat girls) but why do i have to be the short one lol, UNLIKE FAT GIRLS I DIDNT CHOOSE TO BE THIS SHORT,NOR DID I MAKE MYSELF SHORT ITS NOT MY FAULT If It were up to me I would be 6ft Thanks to my short dad (who was like 5'7) and my tall mom for hooking up with someone like that (shes like 5'8 or 5'9) IM SKREWWED FOR LIFE and i didnt even have a say in it (I am just a love child, my parents were fornicating in the early 90s, then I pop out in march 93) so i dont even know my dad ALL I KNOW IS THAT HE FXCKED ME!!!!!! TO ALL GUYS SHORTER THAN ME PLEASE DONT LEAVE AN ANSWER LIKE IM 5'5 and you should be grateful I DONT CARE HOW TALL YOU ARE THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ME AND TO ALL YOU SHORT GIRLS PLEASE DONT LEAVE ANSWERS LIKE ( Im 5'0 and all i care about is if a guy is taller than me, or 5'9 is tall) THATS BULLSHlT AND YOU KNOW ITS BULLSHlT It just sucks how im 19 and my 16 year old cousin is like 6'3 matter fact ALL guys in my family are 6ft and up ( AND PRACTICALLY ALL OF THEM ARE FAT) I am one of the FEW people in my family who is not obese and who actually tries to workout, yet I get the short end of the stick (no pun intended)
I hate being a short guy!?
At sixteen you still have the time to grow. Do not hate it. If it's about girls, I know a lot of short guys with cute girls.... some even longer than them. But they say we grow till 21. So, drink milk for your bones. Lead a healthy life. Exercises may help such rope jumping, push ups, stretching, yoga, running. That is anything that's fun. But do not lift weights. If you want muscles then do body weight. Hope that helps :)
I hate Being A Short Guy?
Relax. You're young enough that you've got lots of time to grow more. I ran your numbers and came up with a final adult height of 5'11". That's average today. Girls mature a bit earlier than guys, so they will often be taller than the boys at your age. That will change over the next 18 months, and you'll be taller than most of them. You've got a lot of potential left. You can maximize your potential by eating a healthy diet, getting enough rest, and staying healthy. Part of being healthy is being physically fit. It sounds like you need to work on that. Believe me, it will also help your confidence to get involved with some athletic activity. There is some evidence that the jolts that your bones get from running and jumping (and just playing sports) may stimulate the growth plates. It won't hurt to use that angle as well. It might not make you grow more, but it will be good for your body in general. Try not to hate your size. Even though you're likely to grow a lot more, there's nothing wrong with being shorter. I'm 5'7" and it's fine. It's just a different height to be.
Why do girls hate short guys?
yes, you are kinda screwed. i'm only 5 feet tall and i usually date guys who are at least 6'2". there is something powerful about a tall man that really turns me on. :-) that being said though, i did date a guy who was only 5'5" and it was a horrible relationship, emotionally speaking, but he totally turned me on and we had awesome sex all the time. :-) so i don't discount short guys altogether, but if i have a choice: i pick tall man. yum!
I hate my life cause I'm a short guy?
Ok so I've 16 and a half and my face has been developed since like 8th grade. Like I have a really defined face. People tell me if I were a little taller, I'd pass for 19-20. I'm also muscular and I have hair everywhere and I've been recently growing a lot of facial hair like this year. And I just got a bone age done on my wrists and it looks like I'm done growing. I stand at 5'3. What I'm trying to say is I'm short and fully developed and there's probably no shot of me growing especially since I'm as tall as my dad. I ******* hate my life. Honestly it's so difficult being short. Not even people picking on you, I just ignore that **** and roast back. Like I'm not little *****. People see me as like a tough kid. And they think I'm really funny too. But still it's so hard to get girls when they're all taller than you. They all want like a guy whose like 6 feet and it's horrible. To be honest, it's been making me contemplate suicide cause I literally have no options. And I don't wanna hear the whole "you'll find someone who accepts you" bullshit because I hate the fact that now I'm limiting myself to girls who can deal with my height. Like so many girls have told me they'd date me if I were taller. It's ridiculous and I don't wanna limit myself to only shorter girls who accept me. Wtf do I do? I actually wanna like kill myself

How can a short guy stop hating himself for being short?
I am only 5'6" and I have always hated being a short guy. Every poll and survey about women's preferences for height in men, show that nearly all girls prefer tall guys. Nobody ever answers that they like or prefer short guys. Nobody ever says they are attracted to short guys. Short guys are nobody's first choice or preference. It is a grossly misleading lie that girls do not necessarily want a tall guy, but just a guy who is taller than them. Just being taller than a girl is not enough. In fact, short girls discriminate against short guys even more than tall girls do. I have been told I am too short by girls who are 5'0". I have heard girls who are 4'11" say they only date guys who are over 6ft tall. Girls who are anywhere from 4'11" to 5'4" frequently express a preference for tall guys. Oh sure, they will say they do not care about height and that they would date a short guy who is only 2 or 3 inches taller than them, but everyone knows they are lying out of their teeth. Girls who say they would date a short guy are liars, because it is usually girls who have never actually dated a short guy before, who say that, so they can not be trusted. Every girl justifies her preference for tall guys with the excuse she wants to feel protected, cute, feminine and be able to wear heels. Hearing that tired old predictable line: "I used to have a crush on a short guy in high-school", does no good. How can I stop hating myself for being short?
