I Hate Eating What Should I Do

I love food but I hate eating!?

You must be young and not know alot about good food.
I eat only for pleasure. Girl, go to some fancy resturants that sell food you can't get at the grocery store. Get a grill and learn how to grill a really good steak. Find a meat man. Not the grocery store. A store that sells only meat, preferably run by Italians.
Eating is great. Get a stainless steel griddle (easy to clean) and make perfect pancakes and eggs and oh damn bacon
**** counting calories less you gotta be looking good to a man; just find the man now and then eat like nuts. Do what I did. Become a food expert, resturant expert, knowing and eating the very best yum yum yeahhh!

Why do I hate eating food?

Hi!(: I'm a 13 year old female who ***HATES*** food. I hate the idea of saliva breaking down food basically into a liquid. It's disgusting.

Every single food I've ever tried doesn't taste good. I think it tastes nasty and I'd rather eat chalk!

I only eat when I get REAL hungry. I'll force myself to eat it without throwing up. I only ever throw up like once a month or so from eating food.

I still drink fluids like a normal person, maybe even a bit more than average but I love my 5-Alive juice!

What is wrong with me? I don't know how to build up the courage to talk to anyone about it. It's embarrassing.

I eat about once every 2 or 3 days. I NEED help. I want to be normal!

Do you hate eating?

I am a foodie to the core.

How can I gain weight if I hate eating?

You don't have to like eating, you just have to do it. If you don't eat enough, there's no way to gain weight. You can lift all the weights at your gym but if you aren't going to back it up with the right amount of calories, you'll end up losing weight. Why do you hate eating?

Gaining weight is a two step process. I'm assuming that you want to gain the good kind of weight - muscle, not fat in which case you have to eat more and lift weights or engage in some sort of strength training routine.

The most important rule to remember if you want to gain weight is to eat more calories than you burn. Only by doing this can your body use the excess energy to build muscle. If you eat less than you burn, there is no way to gain weight, it's as simple as that. Your first step is to figure out how many calories your body burns per day. Use this calculator http://calorieneedscalculator.com to get an estimate. Now eat more than you burn and you're on your way to gaining muscle.

Gaining weight is as simple as eat more than you burn but if you want to gain muscle, you also need to exercise. If you just ate more without lifting weights, you'd just gain fat and become unhealthy and overweight. When you lift weights (or participate in any strength training) you're actually causing some damage to your muscles.

When you rest, your body uses those extra calories to repair and rebuild the muscles. When this process is complete, the muscle is stronger and a bit bigger than it was before. You obviously won't notice a difference right away, but over time you will find yourself becoming stronger and bigger.

You need to keep your diet clean to gain the right kind of weight. Stay away from sugary and simple carb foods such as candy, foods made with white flour, soda and other junk. These foods will promote fat storage, something you don't need. Stick to foods made from whole wheat flour, oats, brown rice, lean sources of protein (chicken, some cuts of beef, fish), nuts, beans, legumes and protein shakes - yum yum. I hate eating when i'm on my period.. ?

awh, that sucks! i know how you feel though (i think)
i felt like that a lot for the first few years, still do sometimes. except its a few hours AFTER eating that the pain really kicks in -_- so i cant really eat anything heavy otherwise its mental!!
if you really cant face eating, try drinking water (or any drink really)....keeps you hydrated and if you DO feel you need to be sick theres gonna be something...

i dont know how to prevent it, sorry...always too embarrassed to ask my doctor and assumed it was normal :/

advice though...painwise...if its really bad....two 200 ibuprofen and two 500 paracetamol tablets (yes its safe, doctor told me! :D)

i used to only take either on their own...pain was too much though so i now have to rely on both to help ease it! sometimes its unbearable though -_-

hot water bottle = a must :D

if its almost unbearable ask your doctor about getting stronger painkillers - cocodomol or something. dunno, hope that helps :)

Why do all of a sudden i hate eating?

You need to go back to the moment you started to dislike eating, something must have triggered this situation and once you know what that is, you can set about tackling it. Perhaps you felt sick on that particular day and food made you feel worse, so now you have a memory of food = feeling unwell.

Try and focus in on why you now find food disgusting. Is this all food or one particular food?

For now, I suggest you keep your food very basic until you can figure out what is happening. I am guessing this is more psychological than physical but if you are concerned, get yourself checked out by your GP just to be on the safe side and give you (and your Dad) peace of mind.

Take care.

Why do i hate eating apples?

Lots of people do not like eating apples, including my husband and me. Eat a fruit you like. They are all good for us.

Why do some people hate eating curd?

I hate eating curd, from the day since I remember. Why? I don't know. Actually I was looking up for a reason for my hatred towards it and found your question.I, in fact, do not like many milk products. So all my family tried to trick me into eating curd and such stuff without my knowledge. So, it goes something like this. I don't have any idea that there is curd in my food. I eat it. I immediately feel pukish. I ask, "Is there curd in it. It smells/tastes like it?" They innocently say, "No, dear! Why would there be curd in it?" I believe them. But I cannot eat it. I just put it aside. The whole day goes, and in the evening, they discuss, "How could she know that I added curd into that food?" The fact is, I did not know that there was curd in it. Its just not a conscious decision to not eat curd (vegan-vegetarian-non-vegetarian), or a rational like vs dislike. I feel pukish and suffocated even before I know it. This experiment has happened so many times with varying design and inputs, but the outcome has been same :) I feel like puking before even knowing it.Same with cheese. I am in the supermarket, roaming around exploring the isles. Something smells horrible, I feel like puking, I close my nose and mouth, then I think, may be I am entering the meat section. But no, it is the cheese section! Now, I think, "I think I am hating it for no reason. Its healthy food and especially healthy for me." People react strangely when I say, I do not eat curd. That's a long story. Then someone advised, "These flavoured yoghurts are good. You should try them." I went to the store, brought them, could not eat. Had to throw away. After a few months, I told to myself, "May be you are just being too choosy. Common, try once more!". So I go and get them again. I take them out and the moment I eat it, I am like, "NO!". Determined, I add some chocolate syrup and quickly gulp it. (2 : 1 chocolate : curd). You know what I was thinking at that time? "This thing tastes so horrible!! I would never give this even to my enemy! Why do and how to people eat it? How can anyone like it!"  So, if you come to know why people hate it, as in, if you find any scientific rational explanation, Please let me know :P

My dads eating......?

The bane of my life - bad eaters. Absolutely hate it.

I think you're going to have trouble changing him. He's been told already and he hasn't changed. Also, it depends on what age you are and the circumstances in which you find yourself confronted by his appalling table manners.

Here are some things I do when faced with a bad eater.

1. Make sure to sit at the table so that you're not directly opposite.
2. Try to sit as far away as possible.
3. Have some background noise such as radio or TV.
4. Think of an excuse to leave the table whilst he gets on with it.
5. Say that you're not inviting anybody to dinner/lunch at yours because you'd be embarassed.
6. Tell him that it makes you feel revolted and you'd rather not be there. (Then it's up to him to make up his own mind about it.... ie. You're not telling him to change...... You're just telling him how his behaviour affects you and what you're going to do about it.)
7. Wear ear plugs. (Puts the message across).
8. Influence the food that is on the table. Eg. If your mother cooks - get her to cook things which are less noisey to eat.
9. Eat in a different room from him.
10. Mention how on adverts they always show ads for foods with people eating decently.
11. When watching bad eaters on TV - sigh and say how gross you think it is.
12. Mention how awful it would be if somebody was so inconsiderate as to pick their nose at the dinner table (whilst he's eating).
13. Ban chewing gum from the house on the grounds that it causes people to chew badly.
14. Next time he eats badly, switch on the tumble dryer/washing machine and stare at it. Say that you're trying to spot the difference.
15. Offer him an apple, but before giving it to him take it into the kitchen and mince it. Bring it back and say 'That's for you'.

Of course, only you know how far you can go with him without him accusing you of being cheeky etc.

You have my sympathies. Deepest!!!!
