Is it okay to take two 800 Mg of ibuprofen?
In the military, if you are in severe pain, and if you are cramping profusely, if you have diarrhea, if you're feeling anxious, if you have been shot, burned, punctured, then the doctor will give you 800 mg of Motrin. If that doesn't work, he/she will give you some water to wash it down with. Chances are about 85% that if you are in the type of pain/distress that you feel that 1600 mg of ibuprofen would be your savior, you have not eaten anything because of multiple reasons, and your stomach is quite empty. Unless you don't care about the holes eaten into your stomach, if you have those 800 mg ibuprofen handy (those are prescription version) I would not even consider taking more than that single horse pill. And that's only if I ate something with it or had a shake or a smoothie. Personally I think ibuprofen is a wonder drug, but you have to protect yourself from it at the same time.
