I Have 30 Singles And Four $5 Bills Can I Exchange This For A $50 Bill At A Bank

Where can I get change for a 100 dollar bill?

For all the people saying any bank will change it, they are extraordinarily WRONG! I went to 4 separate banks today, sending my college student, outgoing and very friendly 19 year old daughter in the last 3. Of the 4, only 1 a US Bank branch, gave her change in $20 bills. A little back story is that I am needing small bills because I am a vendor at the local college football stadium on Saturdays. So with over 100,000 potential customers, I need a LOT of small bills. So I was asking for one hundred in ones, and two hundred in $5s,10s,&20s.. They ALL said they only do it for Customers. With the exception of the US Bank branch and only then because the teller buddy has a crush on my kid!As far as stores, I will have to update this later on after I try the local Big Box Stores and Grocery Stores. Obviously of course one would get change if they Bought $40 or $50 worth of Merchandise, but that kind of isn't the same as getting out right change for a $100. If all else fails, the bank I use has a location down on campus so I can go there worse case, but come on!You would think that someone needing change but doesn't have an account, if nothing else could be a potential customer! So why not give the change for the $100, along with information on their account options! You would have a better chance of gaining a customer than the alternative, which is what I'm about to do…If you live in the State of Tennessee and are looking for a financial institution DO NOT, I REPEAT, DOOOO NOOOOTTTT, use First Tennessee Bank! Not just because they refused my change, but did soin the most condescending, rude, and uppity way imagineable! However because I'm not petty, I remained civil, said Thank You For Your Time, and then grabbed the biggest freaking handful of complimentary Dum Dum suckers you ever saw! This wasn't even the first, nor the worst incident that I or my Family has had with that institution. Bottom Line is, They only value those customers that have 6 digit savings accounts, or that are associated with the States University! So yeah, unless you enjoy complimentary lollipops or suckers by the heaping handful, AVOID BANKING WITH FIRST TENNESSEE BANK! Check out one of our FANTASTIC local Credit Unions instead, I Promise You Will Thank Me For It!Oh and while I'm here I may as well ask… Anybody got change for a Hunnit?!!?

Can you get a 500 dollar bill from the bank?

No. They were taken out of circulation many, many years ago. When one of them crosses the counter of a bank, the teller has to have the customer fill out the same cash transaction form that is required for a 10,000 cash deposit or withdrawal. In other words, the government is tracking those bills to see if you are laundering money or the proceeds of a kidnapping or bank-robbery. If you come into the bank with any bill larger than a hundred this will happen. These bills are very, very rare. During the 1970s, when I was a young teller, I saw exactly two five hundred dollar bills and a single thousand dollar bill in four years of working the counter in a busy New York City bank. Think how rare they must be now. Whenever they appear, they are recorded and then sent to the Federal Reserve for destruction.

How can I get two dollar bills?

Go to your bank and ask them. That is what I used to do when my daughters lunch was $2…I gave her a $2 note every day for lunch. Most of her classmates were like “Whoa! That is worth more than $2, you should keep it!” But I told her, NO, it is worth exactly $2 and if we need more, we can simply go to the bank and request more. That being said, banks may or may not have $2 on hand at the time you go there (or will only have a limited quantity)…in which case, you can do as I did…request them to get a special batch from the FEDS. I got $1000 in 2’s because I was simply tired of going to the bank every other week. I figured that I might as well load up on them and not worry for a while. Oh, yeah, as an added bonus, they are sequential when you do that…which means “fancy numbered” bills could be kept for later in mint condition.Yes, I was a numismatist when I was a kid so I remember all these things and teach them to my daughter too (I still have my nearly complete Lincoln Head penny collection that I painstakingly collected from spare http://change….it actually includes some Indian Head pennies)….

How many $20 bills make a thousand?

If you're asking how many $20 bills adds up to $1,000 dollars the answer is 50. You just divide the number you want (1000) by the bill size(20). 1000/20=50. 1,000 $20 dollar bills makes 1,000 $20 bills.Deepak Kumar (@deepakdon960) | Twitterwww.naaniskitchen.com

Why do most US businesses not accept $100 bills?

Mst businesses that I’ve dealt with will readily accept $100 bills. The exceptions tend to be small businesses, especially ones which are not cash heavy. Many small businesses start off the day with very little cash on hand. Their transactions tend to be either credit, debit and/or for small amounts. Accepting $100 bills for purchases under $20 will very quickly deplete their cash on hand for other transactions. Many of them also do not have the resources to just run to the bank and get more cash. They may have only one employee, who mans the cash register, and who cannot leave the business. They also may not be able to easily contact the owner of the business to let them know more change is needed.I currently work for Walmart. We accept $100 bills all day long. However we also have a pretty decent bank of funds for change. Conversely there is a Subway that leases space from the store. It isn't uncommon for them to come to us early in the day seeking change (coins and smaller bills mixed) because someone ordered a breakfast sandwich and coffee and paid with a large bill.

Writting a check without funds in the bank account...?

I think this is more of the answer you were looking for......

Well, having been in your position before, everyone who responded is correct. However where I live if you write a check at Winn Dixie they take forever to cash it out. But please don't go to WAL-MART it takes them less than a day or two because they have the electronic check thing. Ask around I am sure you have a friend or two who has been strapped like you before, trust me, they know what stores that are slow on cashing your check out. Hell find somebody with food stamps and see if they will hook you up with $25 or $35 worth of food. "Closed Mouth Don't Get Fed"

Have $20 bill from 1974, want to know if it is real...?

One option is to take it to a teller at a bank or credit union and have them use their pen on it. Even grocery stores or gas stations might have a forgery pen. But by looking at the bill, if the bill is real, you should see little blue and red fibers on the paper it was printed on. They are very thin so you have to look close. It should feel like real money. It shouldn't feel paper thin and it shouldn't be like regular printer paper. If this was the case there should not be the blue and red fibers in the paper. Hope this helps.
