How can you cash a check on Bank of America?

If the check is written on an account at the Bank of America they will cash the check but you need to have a good photo ID and if anything is questionable they may hold the check for a period to make sure it clears but the odds are they will just cash it.If the check is written on a different bank but you have an account at the Bank of America they also will cash the check. If you don’t have an equal amount of cash in your account they will possibly hold the check for 24–72 hours before giving you the cash. If your account has more than that in the account you would most likely be able to get the cash immediately. If the check is not written on the Bank of America and you don’t have an account there then they will most likely not cash the check.

How would a massive Cascadia Subduction Zone earthquake affect Seattle?

Shaking Seattle is about 100 km directly east of the mid-length of the Cascadia Subduction Zone (CSZ) and so the shaking will be very strong, generally.  Additionally, in certain areas where natural or artificial infilling of sediments has occurred, shaking can reverberate and amplify.  The USGS provides estimated shakemaps for three CSZ scenarios.  At the following link, for each CATEGORY - select these choices:   NETWORKS – All ; YEARS – All ; TYPE – Scenarios.  Then, type ‘Cascadia’ into the search box.  ShakeMap Archive As one can see from viewing the estimated shakemaps, the worst case for Seattle is the Cascadia M9.0 Scenario, where the city would experience (1) strong to very strong shaking, and (2) light to moderate damage. Again, particular places with sedimentary infill will experience stronger shaking and liquefaction may take place. Tsunami A megathrust Cascadia earthquake will generate a large tsunami—as they have multiple times in the past.  The link below shows a computer simulation that estimates the wave action.  At about 1:20 and afterward in the video, are several clips showing the wave on the coast and illustrations of what can happen at narrow strips adjacent steep places, near drainage entries, river channels, and flood plains.  At 2:50 and 3:18 are particularly detailed clips of the wave proceeding up the Strait of Juan de Fuca.  The computer model suggests that within about two hours after the quake, high water will reach Seattle.  One possible concern is that, although there will likely be two hours to escape to higher ground in the area—when the public hears a warning siren, will everyone (including area visitors and vacationers) think tsunami?     ****

What is the scope of M.B.A. after civil engineering?

The best answer to Why MBA for a civil engineer is the same as for any other engineer. In fact it's the same for any other profession. The best answer to Why MBA should reflect the reasons you need an MBA, given your background, to achieve a specific professional goal that you define in terms of function (what you want to do) and industry (where you want to do it.) Since it is very hard to change function and industry, it may be easier to define your goal in multiple steps, if indeed you want to change both function and industry. So if you work for the government now and want to go into management consulting in the transportation industry. You may first want to go into management consulting for infrastructure development, which shoudl take advantage of your civil engineering background, and later transition into the transportation industry.I am giving this as an example. It is not the "best" for all civil engineers. However the process I'm laying out is an effective one. Depending on the specific question, you may want to tie your answer to the program so your answer also answers Why This MBA?  What courses, majors, or programs does the school have that make you think it will prepare you to be a management consultant for infrastructure development? Are there relevant clubs and extra-curricular activities (consulting club, case competitions, perhaps a club related to infrastructure)?  Does it have a core recruiting relationship with management consulting firms? How many graduates went into management consulting? Show that you've done the homework and know exactly how your target programs can help you achieve your goals, given your background. Basically know what you need to learn -- the holes in your education and experience -- and how the target program will help you fill them so you can achieve your goals.
