Is it okay to drill holes in my catalytic converter?

Your “friend” is an idiot.A cat will pose no significant restriction. There is no gain in performance. If you drill holes into it you fool the oxygen sensors into thinking the mixture is lean. That will tell the ECU to command more fuel and it will skew fuel trims. You will get a “check engine light” and pay $ 80.00 in my shop just for the knowledge that you are an idiot. You will come to my shop after having been to Autozone , where they scanned your car for free and sold you an oxygen sensor you didn’t need in the first place. Why are you doing this? Why do you want your car to sound louder?Loud cars are owned by idiots. If you want to get laid then read books. Become literate . Go to the library and make eye contact with intelligent dames. Driving around in the neighborhood with a hole in the muffler ain’t gonna get you laid.

How much does it cost to fix a scratched bumper?

It really depends on the level of damage that has been done to the Base Coat (color layer) of the paint. It’s a Plastic Bumper… I’d clean it first, with soap & water, then probably use a polishing compound to remove any surface-scuff that has embedded into the clear-coat. Lightly sanding with some Scotch-Brite Pad to cut-down the clear-coat you’d be able to see if the Base Coat has been affected. Glazing Putty to fill any imperfections; prep sanding once dry, a few lite coats of matching color paint (masking-off, to prevent over-spray), more polishing, then clear-coat over the repaired area & blending with old paint surface.I would say 4 Hours of Labor/Waiting Time, $70 in Materials & an attention to detail is all it takes.Unfortunately, the vehicle owner will contact their insurance carrier & your Insurance Carrier will be made to pay whatever it is the Vehicle Owner Wants, regarding Repair, as it falls under Collision & You left an admission of guilt. Otherwise it would have fallen under Comprehensive Coverage & wouldn’t affect your Insurance Rates. When going through an Insurance Estimator, it could cost you anywhere from $500–$1200, instead of the Repair Cost I quoted above.

What does LTZ stand for, on the back of cars and trucks?

Not sure how we got talking about fords and whatnot. … but there's a bit of incorrect info here. So let's straighten some things out. Barring special editions, it's basically 3 different trim levels. I do not recall the “L” designation, but “S” is a level above base model, usually with cloth interior, but some upgraded features. “T” is the highest standard trim level, basically matching that of a cadillac. “Z” is SPECIFICALLY a performance upgrade. Z71, Z24, Z28, etc. 71, fullsize, off road package. Wheel flares, nerf bars, 4wd, lighting, and sometimes other upgrades, like skid plates, lift, lsd/lock, and so on.. 2’s are sport performance, with the engine to match. You can get all z packages in base trim, and even further stripped down. For instance, a true Z28 doesn't even have a radio, sound deadening or power door/seats.
