I Have A Artistic Interiors Oil Painting

I have a oil painting #833308 from Artistic Interiors Inc. signed by B. Power, what can you tell me about it. Thanks.?

I can tell you that if it comes with a serial number, it's a mass-produced piece of interior decorator art.
.
.

How do I find out the value of an Artistic Interiors painting of #470699?

Anything from Artistic Interiors will have no real value to collectors or sellers of art. Artistic Interiors sell what we call factory mill paintings, all of which are done in either Europe or mexico, sold as decoration art in places like K-Mart or furniture stores or sold in those 'Original Oil Paintings Starting At $29.00' art sales you see advertised on television sometimes.

The fact that your painting has the #470699 on the canvas means that it is the 470,699th. painting sold by Artistic interiors.

This does not mean that it is a bad painting, In fact, some of the art produced in these painting factories is pretty damn good. It just means that it will have no value to a serious collector or buyer of art. It won't be worth any more than the original $29.00 or $39.00 paid for it.

But the true value of art should be in the joy it brings you. if you like the painting and enjoy having it on your wall then to you it should be priceless.

I have a artistic interiors inc oil painting numbered 390 what is the value of this?

It is worth what you want to pay and how much you like it. Those items are decorative and have no collector or artistic value.

I have an artistic interiors H. Hargrove oil painting No.107351 I am trying to figure out what its worth?

Artistic Interiors was a company that sold mass produced artists factory art for twenty years. The your painting is numbered 107,351 simply means that it was the 107,351th. original oil painting sold through them.

Although all of these paintings were original oil paintings they were all done through artists co-ops from eastern Europe or Mexico. The artist themselves were paid per painting and many did dozens a week. They were also not allowed to use the real names and most had fake names assigned to them. And virtually every one of these paintings were sold with cheaply made 'Made In Mexico' frames.

This does not mean that your painting isn't a fine painting. in fact, some of those ghosts artists were accomplished artists. But because there is no way of knowing who actually painted your painting and because Artistic Interiors sold over a million of these over the years, to a serious collector your painting wouldn't be worth anything.

But if it's any help to you, the true value of art is in the joy it brings to the viewer and owner of the art. If you enjoy looking at your painting then it's valuable to you.

How do I track down a painting by Artistic Interiors Inc.? ?

Chances are you will never be able to track the artist down because the artists who painted the paintings that suppliers like Artistic Interiors sold were not allowed to use their own name.

Artistic Interiors sold decoration art, paintings that were done by the thousands by artist in Europe and Mexico. These factory mill type paintings where then framed in Made in Mexico frames and sold as decoration art in places like furniture stores, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Sears, etc. They also are marketed through 'Artist Sales' on television sometimes. I'm sure you've seen the commercials; 'Original Oil Paintings Starting At $29.95'. You'll also see these 'decoration' or 'tourist' paintings being sold on street corners in larger cities sometimes.

The point is, even if you could read the name of the artist it probably isn't likely to be their real name anyway. And if you're hoping this painting is worth a lot of money to some art collector it won't be.

There's nothing wrong with the decoration art being sold and sometimes some of the artist are pretty damn good. a lot of them probably do their own serious art on their own away from the artist factory. But as decoration art it's only real value is to the owner of the art. if you love the painting then that is what matters.

Oil painting certified by Artistic Interiors Inc.?

I Have an oil painting that is certified by Artistic Interiors Inc. Cert #668312. The value stated on the back at the time was $455. Signed by artist (Rex). Has more information on the canvas patch on the back flap but, is faded. The painting is of two young tiger cubs sitting in a field of grass. I am Interested in more information on this painting if you have any. It is a small/medium sized painting approx. 2' x 1 3/4'. Sorry this is all the information I can make out.

I have an Artistic Interiors painting numbered 175827. How do I find out the value of this painting?

Those numbers do not indicate value, they indicate their assignment in a gallery catalogue which are likely lost to the annals of time as many businesses no longer exist and their record books are likely gone. The same goes with internet data that eventually get wiped and overwritten unless stored in external (off the grid) drive. Now, your art is really worth how much someone feels it is worth paying for it so ignore those who say you have a mass production and of no interest, that may not necessarily be true (it may not be mass produced and it may have value even if it was a popular recreated image). Here are some suggestions of what you can do:

Step 1: If you feel you have a treasure contact one of the big auction houses (that deals in paintings of course) and send them a picture via e-mail attachment and ask them if they know more about the artist. If it is indeed a famous artist (take close up picture of signature if there is one) they will let you know as they want to make money with you. If they say it is not then proceed to step 2 (or if you feel they are mistaken contact another auction house). If you have any "Provenance" (proof of where it came from - did you meet the artist and buy it from them?) that will help identify if that artist became popular or not.

Step 2: If your artwork is of lower value you can post it for sale on eBay for exposure. Be aware that if your art is very large it may cost more to ship than your sale price so do an estimate before you list! I would check from furthest point (for example, I am in Florida and I price to ship to Washington state). I do not bother shipping to the island state of Hawaii or Alaska or anywhere outside of the USA as costs for shipping can escalate beyond realistic means (close to used-car prices for shipping alone!)

Hope that helps everyone interested and good luck!
John

I Have an oil painting that is certified by Artistic Interiors Inc. Cert #87699 $?

That certification is worth nothing. It's pretty much like having a certification from a department store.

ANYONE can print their own certifications, and there are a lot of scams about it. A painting, even if original, doesn't gain any additional value just because you are given a nice looking piece of paper with it. That's just a sale's trick.

What you need is an appraisal from a reputable art organization or art curator.

Original oil painting, Artistic Interiors, cert. no. is 174653, need artist name?

Hi! There are many people asking similar questions. There are several bouncing around the internet: http://prescott.craigslist.org/clt/36179...
http://cgi.ebay.com/Artistic-Interiors-O...
http://www.askart.com/AskART/artists/bul...
These should give you a frame of reference as far as today's value. I don't see that this firm is still operating, you may want to enter one of the forums on-line for inquiries such as this. Basically, these were paintings for home decor purposes. Best of luck!

I have an Artistic Interiors painting. It is signed by Everett Woodson, wondering it's worth?

People ask questions about paintings from Artistic Interiors all the time. Do a search of Yahoo Answers questions and you'll notice this.

The thing is, Artistic interiors sold original oil paintings by the tens of thousands as decoration art. Most were sold through furniture stores or places like Wal-Mart or on those late night infomercials where they advertised "Original Oil Paintings Starting At $19.95."

Those painting were all done in Europe or in Mexico and the artists were paid per painting. And they weren't allowed to use their real names, so it's highly unlikely that you'll ever find out who Everett Woodson really was. So to a serious collector of art anything from Artistic Interiors isn't worth much value wise.

Which is kind of sad in a way because some of the artist who do those decoration paintings are actually pretty damn good artists. And the true value of art should be in the joy it brings to the viewer, not how much it's worth on the open market.

EDIT: There are a lot of "Everett Woodson" paintings out there from Artistic Interiors because the artists who do those decorative paintings (more than one artist uses the same name) whip out as many as one a day or more because they are paid per painting.

PLEASE NOTE: There also was a fairly well known American landscape artist by the real name of Everett Woodson who signed his paintings E. Woodson. But he never painted anything for Artistic Interiors. If you still think your Artistic Interiors painting is valuable I suggest you call a local art gallery in your area that deals with landscape art and ask them about it.
